Chapter 30

~7 min read 1,218 words

St. Mungo's Hospital.

Lucius was telling two Aurors about his family's miserable experience.

"Murphy Durkheim! It's him! He used Fiendfyre and a dark magic that explodes, blowing up my house! My family and I almost died. And my unfortunate friends, all buried in the sea of fire!"

"He is a dark wizard who kills without blinking! You must bring him to justice!"

He was accusing with all his might, when he looked up, only to see Scrimgeour leading four or five Aurors, followed by that Murphy Durkheim, walking into the ward.

Hmm?

Auror action is so fast?

I haven't even finished stating my grievances here, and the criminal has already been arrested?

"Scrimgeour, he..."

"Lucius. If you have anything to say, say it in court."

"..."

Lucius was a bit confused.

Auror efficiency today is a bit unusual.

He stood up, but saw two Aurors come up, standing on his left and right, an Auror said: "Hand over your wand."

Lucius was puzzled; I'm a plaintiff, why are you collecting my wand?

"Scrimgeour, what exactly is going on? What do you mean? Aren't you asking me to go to court to testify?"

Scrimgeour glared at him coldly, "Lucius, you are accused of being a Death Eater and are engaged in dangerous activities, you must come with us."

"What?"

Lucius was a bit stunned.

Death Eater?

When was that?

The trial ended long ago!

"According to the Purge Act, all Death Eater suspects, even if proven innocent at the time, once new evidence appears, the trial can be restarted. Lucius, come with us, your trial has restarted!"

Wizengamot Court.

Looking at the wizards who filled the entire courtroom inside and out, Murphy suddenly felt that this time, things seemed to have been played a bit too big.

In fact, he was right; for a general wizard trial, Wizengamot members only need more than one-third to attend, and major cases need more than one-half to attend, but once it involves the Purge Act, unless there are very special circumstances, all members must attend.

Lucius was locked in a thorny iron cage in the center at this time; he looked quite frightened, and the whole person was panicked.

It seems that the first trial at the time should have left him with quite a serious psychological shadow.

Looking at it this way, his report this time was not completely useless.

After everyone took their seats, everyone waited silently for a while, suddenly, a space not far in front of Murphy twisted, and then a tall back appeared in front of him.

The man wore a pointed hat, dressed in blue wizard robes, covered with shiny little stars.

"Very sorry, everyone, I'm late. There were some things at school, delayed for a while, have we started now?"

Murphy was a bit stunned listening to this familiar voice, and ten thousand grass mud horses galloped in his heart.

Merlin's dog balls!

How could I not have thought of him!

Dumbledore!

He is the Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot!

In such an occasion, how could he not come?!

After more than half a year, seeing this kind headmaster again, Murphy didn't feel the stability he had at school, but instead felt nervous involuntarily; after all, he had to tell a lot of lies later, and the one in front of him, even if not the highest IQ in the wizarding world, could at least rank in the top five.

This is Dumbledore!

Whether in the previous life or this life, he is synonymous with wisdom and power.

Such a person, you would never want to be his enemy.

But today, Murphy really had to deceive most of the people present.

"Rufus, you mentioned new evidence in your letter..." Dumbledore said, turning around, catching a glimpse of Murphy, clearly hesitated for a moment, but soon continued: "Can you show it to us?"

"Let the provider of the evidence, this Mr. Murphy Durkheim, demonstrate it himself."

After speaking, Scrimgeour signaled Murphy to come forward.

Taking a deep breath, Murphy tried to calm his emotions.

Fuck it!

No matter what, even if it's Voldemort in front, he can only go up!

His gaze instantly became firm, and he walked to the host's podium next to the jury box and stood still.

"Everyone, my name is Murphy Durkheim."

"You may not have seen me, but many people present may not be unfamiliar with my parents."

"Yes, they were both Death Eaters."

The wizards in purple robes began to whisper.

But Murphy didn't care, "Because of them, I spent a lonely childhood, because of them, I was bullied at school, because of them, I have always been penniless."

"However, I don't blame them. They were evil, deserved their punishment, and have already paid the price for their actions."

"However, not all evil people have been punished."

"This person! Lucius Malfoy!" Murphy pointed at Lucius in the thorny iron cage, "He and my parents were Death Eaters! But he escaped the trial! He has done many evil things, but is a fish that slipped through the net! Today I am here to expose his true face!"

"What evidence do you have that he is a Death Eater?" someone on the jury immediately asked.

"I have two pieces of evidence," saying this, Murphy pulled a letter from his bosom, "I found a secret letter in the old house."

"This is a Death Eater who wrote to my father, Sanders Durkheim. It was this person who invited my father, pulled him in, made him join the Death Eaters, and promised him, 'When that Lord rules everything, we will be his right-hand men, obtaining power and wealth that no one has ever enjoyed!'"

"Everyone, please look," Murphy unfolded the letter, "This is that letter, and the signature at the end is L. M. Lucius Malfoy!"

"Liar! Swindler!" Lucius roared, "I never wrote such a letter! Your bug-like father is not worth my pulling in!"

A judge took the letter from Murphy and passed it around among the crowd.

At this time, Murphy took out a second letter, "I knew you wouldn't admit it easily, but you should admit that you wrote this letter, right?"

Murphy unfolded the second letter, but it only had a few short sentences urging for the repayment of money, however, at the end, just like the first letter, it was L. M.

"This..." Lucius was nervous for a moment, "This is just me lending Sanders two hundred Galleons and asking him to pay it back! What does this explain?"

"First, this can explain that my father had a good relationship with you, otherwise, why would you lend him two hundred Galleons? Second, this letter was written by you personally, as long as you compare the handwriting of the two letters, you will know whether the first letter was written by you."

Saying this, Murphy handed the second letter to the judge and let him continue to pass it around.

"This cannot explain anything!" Lucius roared, "That letter is fake! Those handwritings are forged! Copying spell! Yes, it must be a copying spell!"

"A copying spell cannot achieve such an effect, Mr. Lucius," Murphy said, "Besides, the material of the letter paper, the traces of age after several years, and that handwriting exactly like yours, how to forge it?"
