Chapter 1007

Darren, of course, refused Krum's proposal.

He stated that he actually didn't like Quidditch very much, and he didn't want to compare himself to Harry either.

He also stated that Harry would always be the object of his admiration.

This left Krum extremely astonished.

He specifically kept staring at Harry, as if wanting to stare out the reason why he made Darren admire him.

Harry looked at Krum suspiciously; he started to suspect whether Krum wanted to take revenge on him because of how amazing he and Darren were.

Fortunately, Ludo Bagman was about to announce the scores.

Krum finally turned his gaze away.

Otherwise, Harry would have definitely been angry.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we have just communicated with the merperson leader.

They are a bit annoyed; they think it's very shameful that they were almost captured by Darren this time.

Especially since we used projection, which made them feel extremely uncomfortable; this matter is almost going to be spread throughout the entire magical world... of course, these are minor matters; they decided to forgive Darren, because Darren wasn't doing it on purpose... Yes, Darren, they have already forgiven you, you don't need to be so surprised."

Ludo Bagman said with a smile.

Darren showed a shy expression and said: "I thought I was going to have a grudge with them; I originally planned to go apologize to them in a moment, and I also need to thank them; they helped me a lot!"

【Ding...】

"Oh, Darren, I think it's not needed for now; they might not want to see you for a while, so don't appear in front of them."

Ludo Bagman laughed.

It wasn't just him laughing; other wizards also laughed loudly.

It seems they were quite happy to see the merpeople get deflated.

"Alright, children, don't discuss this matter anymore.

We will start scoring; we have decided to score your performance based on a full score of fifty.

The first is Miss Fleur Delacour; you used an excellent Bubble-Head Charm, which added a lot of points for you.

But in the process of confronting the merpeople, you didn't use spells skillfully, leading to injury.

So, we have decided to give you twenty-five points!"

"The second is Mr. Krum; he used an excellent Transfiguration spell in the confrontation with the merpeople.

But like Miss Fleur Delacour, you both ended up failing there.

So, we have also decided to give you twenty-five points!"

"The third is Mr. Harry Potter; although you didn't engage in combat during your meeting with the merpeople.

But your escape speed was very fast, which allowed you to arrive at the square intact.

Don't laugh, guys, luck and running speed are also a kind of strength.

Mr. Harry Potter is also a champion who arrived at the merpeople square intact.

He brought back his own hostage; although he had a luck bonus, he did what he was supposed to do.

For this, we give him thirty-five points!"

Darren kept applauding for Harry.

Some students around also cheered.

Of course, people like Malfoy could only mutter about "Potter the runner." Finally, Ludo Bagman looked at Darren.

This attracted the attention of many people.

They thought Darren was definitely full marks.

But his interrogation of the merpeople seemed to have destroyed the fairness of the competition.

But Ludo Bagman didn't think so at all.

"The fourth, I want to introduce is our Mr. Darren Potter.

He cleverly used the waterproof spell he invented himself; a fourth-year student can invent spells on his own, this is his first highlight."

Hermione applauded vigorously.

She shouted at Darren that he was the best.

Following that, the crowd in the entire venue also cheered loudly.

So much so that Dumbledore had to use magic to suppress these cheers.

"Silence!"

He shouted loudly.

This made many students close their mouths.

Mainly because Ludo Bagman hadn't finished yet.

He hadn't announced Darren's score yet.

"Many judges believe that Darren attacking the merpeople was normal, because he was anxiously wanting to save his friends.

This is a noble quality; I believe no one can blame such a noble character.

However, because some judges objected, his score is forty-five points!"

Ludo Bagman shouted loudly.

With a roar.

The entire venue cheered loudly again.

It seemed that even magic couldn't suppress everyone's voices.

Of course, no professor was willing to use magic to suppress such cheers.

Hermione and Fleur rushed up and hugged Darren.
