Chapter 11

~6 min read 1,106 words

After finally calming Pocky down, Darren remembered Hermione and Mundungus.

"The little master is truly too kind, still remembering that Muggle man and his daughter."

Pocky couldn't help but exclaim, pressing the recorder at its waist as it continued:

"Pocky sent that man called Mundungus to Mr. Dumbledore's office. Mr. Dumbledore said he was very grateful to the little master and that he would handle the matter properly.

That is only natural. If not for the little master, a terrifying incident of a Muggle being attacked would have occurred here. It is thanks to the little master's righteous intervention that this disaster was averted."

Pocky looked at Darren with adoration, its large eyes almost sparkling.

Darren looked away, feeling slightly guilty.

Ah, this...

If he hadn't been involved, this accident might not have happened at all.

"Ahem, it’s not as exaggerated as you say. I only made a negligible contribution.

Besides, it looked like a misunderstanding; if I hadn't appeared, it might have been better..."

However, Pocky clearly didn't think so.

It proudly raised its hands and shouted exaggeratedly:

"No, this must have been a murder attempt!

My little master is the kindest child in the world. He stopped a riot, and he is so humble—he could even apply for a World Peace Prize!"

"Stop, stop saying that..."

Darren felt the gazes of the people around them drawn by Pocky. He was so embarrassed he wished he could dig a hole in the ground with his toes and bury himself in Hogwarts.

He felt that house-elves were a natural nemesis for him.

Pocky clearly didn't get Darren's point.

It was still immersed in the emotion of praising its little master.

"Little Master Darren, you are the greatest young wizard in the world. When you grow up, you are going to be the second Dumbledore!"

"..."

Darren silently covered his face and moved a bit further away from this embarrassing house-elf.

If I have sinned, please let Merlin punish me!

"Alright Pocky, I need to buy a wand. You help me send all these cakes back first..."

Darren wailed mournfully.

Forget it, forget it. He didn't want to know the rest.

He was afraid of dying of social embarrassment in Diagon Alley today.

Pocky followed happily, took the cakes from Darren's hands, and disappeared on the spot with a crack of Apparition.

Although it reappeared the next second, Darren still let out a huge sigh of relief.

At the very least, Pocky's mood had calmed down now.

"Little master, before buying the wand, we might need to withdraw some money. The Jin Jin Jin Jialong Pocky brought out are all spent."

Pocky said guiltily.

There weren't many Jin Jin Jin Jialong left at the old Potter family estate; only some property deeds and a shampoo recipe remained.

If they wanted Jin Jin Jin Jialong, they would need to run a factory themselves.

Or rent out those plots of land.

But Pocky hadn't thought of this before. What a useless Pocky.

Pocky raised its hand, wanting to punish itself, but was stopped by Darren's quick reflexes.

"Alright Pocky, you've been good enough. I don't understand anything, and I'll need your help in the future. Don't go learning from other house-elves and punishing yourself!"

That would make him look like a fake saint.

Saving others outside, while letting his own house-elf punish itself at home.

His persona would collapse! **Chapter 35**

"The little master is so kind!"

Pocky shrieked.

Darren sighed and quickened his pace toward Gringotts.

He only hoped Pocky would return to its original state as soon as possible.

Please, please.

Gringotts is said to be the safest place besides Hogwarts.

It is a bank run by goblins.

The staff coming and going inside are all goblins.

They have arrogant expressions and disdainful tones.

Some even speak loudly to their clients.

The service here is very poor.

And it is not safe to store money here.

In the original story, Gringotts was broken into at least twice.

"Hello, sir, what business do you have today?"

Seeing Darren enter with a house-elf, an elderly-looking goblin hurried over.

Families with house-elves are usually ancient, and these people have very noble statuses.

"Our little master is going to the vaults of Harry Potter and Darren Potter. Here is the key!"

Pocky placed a small key in front of the goblin.

This was given to it by Dumbledore. After Lily and James passed away, their vault keys were temporarily kept by Dumbledore, who had intended to give them to Harry after he started school.

As it turned out, the Potter family's house-elf had come looking for them, so he naturally handed them to Pocky.

"Harry Potter, Darren Potter? The Potter family has two heirs, truly a flourishing lineage!"

The aged goblin took the key, examined it, and offered a slow, flattering remark.

Pocky proudly lifted its head.

That was all thanks to the previous Lady Potter.

She gave birth to two little masters, especially Little Master Darren, who was truly too cute!

Fortunately, Pocky didn't say that out loud, or Darren might have died right here today.

Social death!

After confirming the key was genuine, the elderly goblin called over a young goblin.

"Griphook, it will take you to the vaults."

The goblin named Griphook sized Darren up, curiosity flashing in its eyes.

A student named Harry Potter had come to withdraw money a few days ago. Was this Darren Potter his older brother or younger brother?

Moreover, Harry Potter was dressed very shabbily, while this Darren Potter had a house-elf with him. Could there be some hidden story?

But these things had nothing to do with him.

He, Griphook, would never bow down to these wizards!

Watching the arrogant Griphook leading the way, Darren studied it carefully for a long time.

This was also a very famous goblin who appeared in the original story.

He first appeared in the first book when Harry went to Gringotts to withdraw money; it was he who led the way.

The second time was in The Deathly Hallows.

Griphook asked Harry for the Sword of Gryffindor, even promising to lead them into Gringotts and out safely.

As soon as he got the sword, this guy notified Gringotts and ran off with the sword himself.

He could be considered quite a treacherous fellow.

He didn't expect that his, Darren's, first time withdrawing money at Gringotts would also be led by this guy.

Could it be that he would also have to break into Gringotts in the future?
