Chapter 112

~4 min read 708 words

"By the way, what classes do we have today?"

Harry took out his schedule and asked himself.

Then he said hesitantly:

"We have two Potions classes with Slytherin. Rumor has it Snape is especially biased toward students in his own house, and his temper isn't good either."

Darren shook his head and said disapprovingly:

"You should call him Professor Snape; the professor's temper is still very gentle."

At least it is to him.

As for Harry.

*Cough*, let's not say too much about that.

Harry being able to survive in Snape's hands is the greatest respect Snape has for their mother, Lily.

"Alright, alright, Professor Snape."

Harry said helplessly.

He didn't know at this time that Potions class might be the class he hates the most in the future.

Potions class was held in a dungeon classroom.

The environment here was cold and damp.

And the walls were lined with bottles and jars filled with animal specimens.

It looked eerie and scary.

Darren sat at the very back of Slytherin as usual.

Sitting next to him was Cassandra.

Because of her cold and aloof personality, like Darren, no one dared to sit with her.

Darren didn't try to talk to her either.

He discovered that this Miss Vole might indeed have a great liking for him, but that liking was like one for a toy.

She always wanted him to become the target of everyone.

But sometimes, for threats that were too serious—such as the operation where Harry made him leave the Slytherin table during breakfast—she wouldn't want him to do it.

In fact, now the look everyone in Slytherin gave Darren was an expression of "we'll deal with you tonight."

Including Becky and this Miss Cassandra.

Even Malfoy had a gloating look.

If it were anyone else, they would be restless.

But Darren was clearly not anyone else; he was fearless, even wanting to laugh.

Going back tonight, according to his plan, maybe he could get another sum of Saint Father Points.

Of course, in the eyes of outsiders, they thought he didn't know what he was about to face at all.

And they were full of sympathy for him.

"Boom!"

Darren was thinking.

The classroom door suddenly opened.

The sound of the door hitting the wall gave everyone a fright.

Then a figure appeared, black robes fluttering past everyone's eyes.

"You are here to learn..."

"Since there is no silly waving of wands here, so..."

"Here there is..."

"I can teach you..."

"Even... blocking death!"

"I hope you are not that kind of fool..."

Snape's voice was like a whisper, but everyone could hear clearly what he was saying.

Then he suddenly shouted: "Potter!"

Harry was startled and hurriedly stood up.

"If I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood, what would I get?"

"I don't know, sir."

Harry looked at Snape blankly.

"Tsk, tsk, it seems fame isn't everything..."

Snape ignored Hermione's hand held high.

He said contemptuously:

"Let's try again! Potter, if I asked you to find a bezoar, where would you look?"

Harry was even more confused.

He glanced sideways and found Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle laughing until they were shaking.

Hermione's hand was held even higher.

Ron was as dull as him, clearly not knowing the answer either.

Only Darren was constantly mouthing the answer to him, even making a bit of sound in his anxiety.

But he couldn't distinguish what Darren was saying at all.

"I don't know, sir."

Harry felt his brain didn't belong to him anymore.

"Potter, then tell me, what is the difference between monkshood and wolfsbane?"

Snape looked at him mockingly.

Harry could even see the sarcasm in his cold eyes.

"I don't know, but since Hermione knows, why don't you ask her?"

Harry said unhappily.

He felt this teacher was making things difficult for him, Harry!

"Sit down!"

Snape roared at Harry:

"Let me tell you, Potter, powdered root of asphodel and wormwood together can make... a bezoar is... monkshood..."

"Why don't you write them down?"

"Potter, because you talked back to the teacher, Gryffindor loses ten points!"

Harry was so angry he almost shouted.

Damn it, this is what Darren called gentle?

This is the worst time "gentle" has ever been slandered!
