Chapter 1273

~4 min read 770 words

Darren couldn't see, falling there, he must be terrified!

"Harry, calm down, he's... gone... no one can pull him back... he did it for you, don't let his life be in vain!"

Harry didn't want to listen.

He shouted loudly: "Darren! Darren!"

He could still remember Darren's smile just now.

Could still feel the strength when Darren threw him away. How could he be gone?

Just falling down the veil, how could he die?

"Let me go, I want to pull him back, I want to bring him back!"

He roared.

He tried to look at Hermione and the others, wanting them to give him some courage.

But he saw Hermione saying softly, with the same expression Darren usually had: "You can't bring him back, he's gone, Professor Victor said he would fall into the veil, I thought... anyway..."

"Don't you like him? Don't you love him? Why don't you go find him?"

Harry blurted out.

He finally understood why he felt like a third wheel when he was with Darren and Hermione.

Hermione liked Darren. They both liked Darren. Hermione looked at him coldly.

"It was you, it was you who killed him, wasn't it?

He said he didn't want to come, he said he felt uneasy, he said this felt like a trap, but did you listen?

You lost your temper at him... if it weren't for your feelings for him, would you have already attacked him, right?"

Hermione said with contempt. Harry glared at her.

But Hermione's eyes didn't shift at all. It was Harry who shifted his gaze.

He stopped looking at anyone, he suddenly rushed toward the veil.

"Lupin, let me go, I'm very calm now.

I know Darren might be a little angry with me, but no matter what, I have to bring him out, his eyes can't see, I can't..."

He said anxiously. But his words stopped.

Because he saw Dumbledore.

Dumbledore had come. He suddenly felt a warm current of safety filling his whole body.

He almost ran to Dumbledore.

He grabbed Dumbledore pleadingly.

But Dumbledore refused him.

"Harry, I can't do it!"

Harry acted as if he didn't understand what he said, he just wanted to hold onto Dumbledore.

"Harry, I'm very sorry..."

Dumbledore said softly.

At this moment, Black climbed up.

He was still looking around, not understanding the situation.

"The crystal ball, get the crystal ball back!"

A Death Eater shouted loudly.

"The Dark Lord wants the crystal ball!"

Harry suddenly stopped pulling on Dumbledore. He looked at the crystal ball in his hand.

This crystal ball that he had protected well even when Darren threw him away.

Then he held the crystal ball high.

Then he smashed the crystal ball hard on the ground.

"It's broken, isn't it?"

Countless screams, and reproaches and insults. But Harry didn't pay attention to any of them.

He looked viciously at the figure that appeared as the crystal ball shattered on the ground. That figure seemed to be saying something.

But because there was shouting everywhere, Harry couldn't hear a word. He looked at everyone with mockery.

"Crucio!"

Someone screamed.

This spell shot toward Harry.

But Harry didn't dodge. He desperately hoped for some excruciating pain that would make him forget everything. But Dumbledore blocked the spell.

Harry looked viciously at Dumbledore. At this moment, he hated everyone.

Suddenly he looked at a Death Eater. Bellatrix.

It was her just now, who hit Black with a red light, which led to Darren falling down.

He raised his wand and rushed over.

"Harry..."

Someone called out.

But Harry didn't hear anything.

He used the Cruciatus Curse on Bellatrix. Bellatrix fell to the ground.

She screamed, fearful and dodging. Harry looked at her cruelly.

"Enough, Harry, don't be like this, Darren wouldn't want you to use such a spell..."

It was Black's voice.

"Then what spell does he want me to use? You make him jump out and scold me!"

Harry roared angrily.

He suddenly remembered Hermione's accusation against him.

He hadn't said a single proper word to Darren today. He had been trying to lose his temper at Darren the whole time.

Every time Darren wanted to say something, he was interrupted by him.

He remembered Darren saying he was very uneasy, but he thought Darren didn't treat Sirius as family.

Harry was trembling all over.

He broke free from Sirius's embrace. He looked at everyone with strange eyes.

"All this time, I only had Darren... Darren said he wouldn't die, he wouldn't leave me!"

His scar began to ache violently.

But he felt that even if Voldemort came now, he wouldn't care.
