He had already acted so much like a Saint Father, and he still wouldn't let him go? ### CHAPTER 21

I understand, I understand.

But there was no help for it.

When under someone else's roof, one must bow one's head.

Who told the original owner to be like Voldemort, growing up in an orphanage?

Both were abused by the matron and bullied by other children.

The difference was that Voldemort had magic to fight back, while the original owner was a Squib who lost his life.

However, he immediately realized that Dumbledore probably wasn't testing him, or at least didn't have that intention before handing him the wand.

After all, he didn't have a wand now, and Dumbledore only had this Elder Wand.

"Wingardium Leviosa."

Darren whispered at a piece of silverware on Dumbledore’s desk.

He felt a surge of energy from his body flow through the wand, and the silverware floated up gently according to his thoughts.

Whether he wanted it high or low depended entirely on his own will.

Holding the wand in his hand, he felt like a god.

"Perfect! If this were in class, I would certainly award you twenty points!"

Dumbledore applauded with a smile.

Taking back the wand that Darren returned without hesitation, the smile on his face became more genuine.

Truly good.

This child was just as he appeared: not obsessed with power, nor afraid of it.

But if that were really the case, then what was up with this Obscurus?

Could it be the result of those experimental drugs Lily was given while pregnant?

Not to mention Lily being tortured by Death Eaters.

Later, to save Lily, Snape had used many potions and spells.

Which caused Lily’s single pregnancy to become a twin pregnancy.

At the time, they were worried about complications, and they didn't know who the extra child was or what the situation was.

Now it seemed that the extra child must be Darren.

And the resulting impact was that Darren became a controllable Obscurial.

Perhaps this was a good thing?

When Darren used magic, Dumbledore indeed did not feel that evil, dark power of an Obscurus; instead, he felt an orderly, cautious, and powerful force.

This was perhaps Darren’s Obscurus.

And also the kind power Darren spoke of.

"Child, I cannot draw a conclusion for you, so I can only trust your intuition that this is a controllable Obscurus.

So congratulations, child; you may have turned a misfortune into a blessing and obtained a controllable power that a dear friend of mine spent his whole life pursuing."

Dumbledore said with a sigh.

His blue eyes revealed a trace of sadness.

Darren guessed this friend must be Dumbledore’s "best friend" Grindelwald.

Weren't those two supposed to be lovers?

Tsk!

Weren't soft, fragrant girls better?

After silently criticizing Dumbledore’s view on love, Darren smiled "shyly" again.

"I’ve known of its existence since I was small. It has never made me feel evil, only warm. I believe that when I encounter danger, it will surely come out to protect me!"

The boy smiled gently.

His calm demeanor reassured Dumbledore, who had still been somewhat worried.

Dumbledore was speechless.

After a long while, he smiled: "Very well, child. Since that is the case, I should take you to the hospital wing. I imagine Minerva and Madam Pomfrey must be getting anxious.

Oh, right, Madam Pomfrey is the school nurse. We need to check your wounds. I learned from Lady Lady Lady Linda that you nearly died."

Dumbledore’s tone grew serious.

He truly hadn't expected Darren to be living such a life.

He had even nearly died before they arrived.

Thinking of such a kind and lovely child losing his life and leaving them in obscurity, even Dumbledore, who had seen much death, couldn't help but feel heavy-hearted.

"Professor, it shouldn't be anything serious. Kenley wasn't doing it on purpose... fine, I will go with you."

[Ding, Saint Father points +20]

Darren put on a kind and magnanimous look, and seeing Dumbledore’s disapproving gaze, he changed his words with embarrassment.

He was just full of confusion when receiving the Saint Father points.

Why were they still so few?

Could it be because only Dumbledore was here?

Never mind, he would study it later.

Darren shook his head, laughing inwardly at Dumbledore’s serious expression.

Hmm, he believed that child named Kenley might receive a little retaliation from Dumbledore.

Tsk, he still couldn't quite forgive that guy!

Brought to the hospital wing by Dumbledore, Darren was greeted by the embrace of a kind lady.

"Heavens, is this Darren? He is so cute, but... who bandaged your wounds?

It’s too crude... unbelievable, Muggles are truly... it’s festering..."

The lady anxiously placed Darren on a hospital bed, pressed him down, and muttered under her breath, causing even Dumbledore to lower his voice significantly.

"Poppy, this child’s wounds..."

"Albus, this child’s wounds have reopened. Did you and Severus not notice his condition at all?

And he needs to rest well and replenish a lot of nutrition; his body is currently very weak!"

Madam Pomfrey shouted loudly.

Dumbledore looked at Darren apologetically.

Neither he nor Severus had thought of Darren’s wounds.

"Apologies, it was my and Severus’s carelessness." Dumbledore apologized again.

"No, only you didn't think of it!"

Snape’s cold voice came from behind.

Then he took out several bottles of potions and handed them all to Madam Pomfrey.

"You went to brew potions?"

Dumbledore asked in surprise.

He really hadn't thought Snape would be willing to brew potions for Darren.

After all, Darren’s injuries weren't a big problem in the wizarding world; Madam Pomfrey would have been enough.

Yet Snape had specifically returned to brew potions and brought them over.

"Excellent potions, they can both replenish nutrition and accelerate wound recovery. Severus, you actually added Moon Grass!"

Madam Pomfrey exclaimed.

Snape avoided her gaze and said stiffly: "I just had some left over from brewing other potions and didn't want to waste it, so I added it in."

"I understand, I understand!"

Madam Pomfrey giggled, unscrewed the cap of the potion, and handed it to Darren.
