Chapter 47: Harry
The next class was simply Harry’s nightmare.
Snape divided them into pairs and instructed them to mix a simple potion to cure boils.
He swished his large robes, like a cold, gloomy bat, pacing around Harry, trying to find fault with him.
However, what gave Harry a little comfort was:
Almost everyone had been criticized by Snape.
Only Darren’s potion was rated as perfect by Snape.
Snape was simply shocked when he saw Darren’s potion.
He just stood there, stunned, staring at Darren for a long while before saying in a muffled voice:
“Perfect, it’s a genius concept. 20 points to Slytherin!”
Harry looked at his expression and was so smug he almost laughed out loud.
Darren was his brother, after all; no matter how much Snape disliked him, he had to award points to Darren!
Darren hadn’t expected Snape to be this shocked either. ===== CHAPTER 115 =====
When he was making the potion, he always had some strange ideas in his mind.
When he implemented them, Cassandra didn’t stop him.
By simply modifying a few steps, he had brewed a cauldron of potion that looked even more perfect than the one in the textbook.
Hiss!
This is the power of potion innovation!
Darren couldn’t help but exclaim.
He looked up at Snape, who was staring blankly at his potion, and suspected that this professor was reminiscing about his mother, Lily.
It was said that Lily also had a very high talent for potion-making.
However, he really wanted to tell Snape that his own potion innovation ability was definitely something Lily couldn’t compare to.
At the very least, she couldn’t compare at this stage.
This kind of innovative talent hadn’t appeared at all before he obtained the Prince bloodline.
Clearly, this was very likely a tradition of the Prince family.
His mother Lily didn’t have it.
But after thinking about it, he didn’t dare to say it, not to mention whether he should even know about this matter right now.
Even if everyone assumed he knew these things, if he dared to say it out loud, he might be met with Snape’s Cruciatus Curse.
So, he looked at Snape with "innocent" eyes and smiled sweetly: "Thank you for your praise."
"Hmm, continue reading..."
Snape said in a low voice.
His fingers were clenched tightly.
Lily!
Your child, he is truly too excellent; if only he were your and my child, how good would that be?
This was the regret of his entire life.
Thinking of this.
He turned around to look at the other students in the classroom and said as if venting:
"Why aren't you making it yet? Do you want me to invite you?"
A group of little lions and little snakes trembled in fear.
They hurriedly turned their attention back to their own cauldrons.
They were terrified of being finished off by a Death Curse from this professor, who had suddenly become moody for no apparent reason.
Darren shook his head, amused.
Just as he was preparing to hold the potion book he had already learned via Saint Father points to put on a show, he suddenly discovered that something was wrong over at Neville’s side.
[Ding, a scene where the Saint Father System can be utilized has been discovered near the host. A temporary mission is now issued: rush to Neville’s side, pick up the malfunctioning cauldron, and run out the door.]
[Ding, after completing the mission, you will obtain Neville’s herbology talent. Does the host accept the mission?]
Uh.
Neville really was disaster-prone.
It seemed like there wasn't a single class of Snape’s where he didn't blow up a cauldron.
[Accept]
After choosing to accept, a thick green smoke immediately erupted in the dungeon classroom.
Somehow, Neville had burned Seamus’s cauldron.
At this moment, Harry was right beside Neville.
Darren hurriedly shouted: "Brother, move aside!"
He quickly ran over, grabbed Seamus’s cauldron, which was already beginning to warp from the heat, and ran out the door.
"Careful!"
Snape shouted in anger.
His black robes followed Darren out the door like a gust of wind.
He waved his wand forcefully, and the contents of the cauldron in Darren’s arms were vanished in a sweep.
"Are you crazy? You... get back to your seat!"
Snape said angrily.
He turned around abruptly and roared at Neville: "Idiot!"
"You idiot, I suppose you didn't take the cauldron off the fire before adding the porcupine quills, did you?"
Neville began to sob, and many boils had already broken out on his nose.
"Take him to the hospital wing!"
Snape roared at Seamus.
At this moment, he was like an enraged lion.
Almost no one dared to make a sound.
Snape watched with a stern face as Seamus took Neville away, then paced near Harry and Ron.
Suddenly, he looked at the two and questioned:
"Potter, why didn't you remind him when he was adding the porcupine quills? Because of your recklessness, 20 points from Gryffindor!"
This was just too unfair!
Harry felt like he was going to be angered to death by Snape.
How could he possibly pay attention to what Neville was adding every single second?
However, before he could say it out loud, he was kicked by Ron.
"Don't do anything rash!"
Ron sighed and said: "I heard that he doesn't reason with students from other houses at all."
Harry’s eyes turned red with anger.
He saw Snape turn around and walk to Darren’s side.
His heart jumped into his throat.
Surely Snape wasn't going to look for trouble with Darren too?
"Because Darren showed camaraderie, rushing to the scene the moment the incident occurred, 20 points to Slytherin!"
Harry: "..."
Ron: "..."
My heart is so tired!
An hour later, Harry and Ron walked out of the Potions classroom, supporting each other.
Behind them was Darren, who was comforting them.
"Alright, don't be like this, is it really that bad? Professor Snape is actually quite reasonable; as long as you finish the potion, he doesn't care what you do."
"No, that's only for you..."
Harry shook his head.
He continued, feeling a bit weary:
"I suspect he hates me; no, he is targeting me. I don't know what I did to make him angry.
But it's good that you’re in Slytherin, Darren; he clearly favors Slytherin. If I had known, I would have been better off going to Slytherin with you.
We lost thirty points in the first week of school, oh my god, I don't even know how to face the other Gryffindors!" ===== CHAPTER 116 =====
