Chapter 498: You don't know anything?!!
"You don't know anything?"
Mr. Vole had to use all his strength to ask again.
Cassandra shook her head, feeling guilty.
"He's always with that Gryffindor know-it-all girl, what can I do? I can't just go and grab him, can I?"
She said, feeling annoyed.
She was met with an even more bewildered expression from Mr. Vole.
"Didn't you do anything?"
Wasn't this child always very calculating?
"But whenever I see him, I just can't bring myself to do it."
Cassandra felt extremely aggrieved.
"It's over, you're completely finished!"
Mr. Vole shook his head bitterly. His daughter had gone to such lengths for a boy; how could he possibly stop her now?
"What if your mother and I both disagree?"
Mr. Vole sat opposite Cassandra and asked sternly.
Cassandra pursed her lips.
She didn't know.
Perhaps she couldn't even consider such things, after all, that idiot hadn't even looked at her properly once.
"Then..."
Mr. Vole stood up.
He prepared to end this boring conversation.
Cassandra felt a bit nervous.
Would her father forbid her from being with that guy if he heard how useless she was?
Might she even be transferred to another school?
Would she never see him again?
Transfer schools!
That might be for the best; then she wouldn't have to... follow so arduously behind him.
"Then, you'll have to work hard yourself! Only let your mother and me know once you've actually won him over.
Instead of telling us when you haven't even had a shred of progress yet.
You made us go everywhere asking if there was a new version of Amortentia, and whether it could last for a month or two!"
Mr. Vole left in a huff.
Leaving Cassandra, who finally broke into a smile.
Yes, she really did need to start working hard.
In the blink of an eye, school finally started.
Cassandra and Pansy sat on the train.
Pansy listened to her recount the conversation with her father, full of gossip, and then burst into laughter.
"As expected, that's so you. If my father knew, he'd definitely tell me to get lost—telling your parents before there's even a hint of a chance!"
"Hmph, mind your own business. Just tell me which carriage that idiot is in, I'm going to drag him over..."
Cassandra said, embarrassed and angry.
Pansy winked at her and asked with a grin: "Are you planning to call him over in the name of Slytherins needing to act together?"
Cassandra felt indescribably embarrassed; what did that have to do with her?
"You just got your family to agree, and you're already being so blatant. Be careful Dumbledore finds out you're pursuing the brother of his 'Chosen One,' pfft..."
"He might have already discovered it. When I followed Professor McGonagall to the hospital wing last time, she spotted me.
Being discovered by Professor McGonagall is the same as being discovered by him, isn't it?"
"That's true. It seems Dumbledore isn't planning to stop you, but your idea of calling him over is going to fall through.
Don't look at me like that, I'm not planning to stop you; after all, I want to spend more time with him too.
It's just really impossible, because he didn't get on the train.
I overheard that Gryffindor know-it-all girl telling others earlier that he, Harry Potter, and Ron Weasley didn't get on the train.
Maybe they... wait, is that Harry Potter? Did they come by car?"
Pansy pointed excitedly at the car flickering in the sky.
Cassandra frowned; that car didn't look very safe, did it?
But it should be fine, that guy is quite strong.
Even if he fell, he'd have a way out.
It was only after arriving at school that she discovered he hadn't come in the car with Harry Potter, but had been sent over by an Auror.
This left her very puzzled.
But she still breathed a sigh of relief.
And then prayed that the car would fall and land Harry Potter in the hospital wing.
That way, no one would be calling that idiot away in front of her all day long.
But.
"Miss Cassandra, do you know where my brother is? As long as you tell me, I'll do anything!"
For the sake of that Harry Potter, this idiot was begging her for the second time.
Cassandra felt extremely unhappy.
She had done so much for the idiot, why wouldn't he look at her more?
She was angry in her heart and didn't tell him, and then...
He had a magical outburst.
Watching the blood surge from his body, and that terrifying power.
Cassandra's face was filled with panic.
How could this happen?
Was he risking his life because of Harry Potter?
Fortunately, the Head of House didn't know what she said to him, but he finally slowly withdrew his power.
He just sat on the ground, looking pitiful, asking everyone to save his brother.
He was truly insane; even if Harry Potter fell from the sky, he wouldn't be as miserable as this!
She thought, feeling irritable.
Fortunately, she saw that guy again the next day.
Looking silly.
After seeing Harry Potter, he ran off to Gryffindor again.
Why didn't the Sorting Hat put him in Gryffindor in the first place?
So annoying!
Cassandra thought, her face full of impatience, yet she couldn't help but pay attention to him.
His obedience in class, his footsteps rushing toward Gryffindor after class.
His schedule was packed full, but there was no room for her...
Until one day.
The Slytherin Quidditch team walked back from outside.
They were dejected and complaining to each other with some anger.
"I already said, you can talk about those people, but why did you have to talk about Darren Potter?"
Malfoy's unhappy voice reached Cassandra's ears.
Cassandra raised an eyebrow; these people provoked the idiot?
