Chapter 785
Ron stood in front of Harry.
He wanted to help Harry buy a little time.
But immediately, the large black dog leaped up and pounced on Ron.
It bit down on Ron's leg, then dragged him as it ran off in one direction.
Harry rushed to grab the black dog's tail, but he only caught a bit of dog fur; he charged forward again.
Just then.
He felt something lashing down on him, covering his head and face.
Darren was almost hit.
Fortunately, Hermione protected Darren.
But both of them still had welts whipped onto their bodies.
"We've run right to the Whomping Willow!"
Hermione said anxiously.
She pulled at Harry, wanting to retreat.
But the next second, they saw the large black dog dragging Ron into the tree roots at the very base of the Whomping Willow.
Then they disappeared into the passage beneath the roots.
"What do we do? Should we go back first..."
Harry was just about to say they should go back and find a professor.
Because they couldn't get in at all; the Whomping Willow kept attacking them.
And since Darren was still unconscious, he decided to go tell a professor first.
But then he noticed Crookshanks nimbly darting into the Whomping Willow.
It then used its claw to press down on a knot on the tree, and the Whomping Willow immediately stopped moving.
"Crookshanks... how did you know?"
Hermione was extremely stunned.
"It's friends with that big black dog; I saw it with that dog before!"
Harry said gloomily.
He squeezed his eyes, forcing the blood out of them.
Then he said to Hermione, "Hermione, you stay here and watch Darren, I'm going to find him!"
"That might not work..."
Hermione shook her head.
She looked ahead.
Harry saw that the big black dog had already appeared beside them, as if inviting them to go in together.
He pursed his lips.
He wanted to put Darren down, but the black dog made a move to bite Darren.
In the end, he had no choice but to carry Darren on his back and head down.
This was a passage.
Harry remembered that this passage seemed to lead to Hogsmeade.
He began to regret it.
He should have told the professors about the map.
But it was too late now.
Crookshanks was leading the way in front, while the black dog stared at them from behind; they were caught in a pincer move.
There was no way to escape.
He didn't know how long they had been walking.
After passing several flights of stairs, Harry finally saw a house.
It was a messy, dust-filled house.
The wallpaper was peeling off the walls.
The furniture seemed to have been smashed as well.
The floor here was covered in filth.
It looked absolutely disgusting.
"This is the Shrieking Shack!"
Hermione said with certainty.
She held her wand, looking around vigilantly.
"I think you can put Darren Potter down now; that might make things a little easier for you..."
A hoarse voice rang out beside them.
Harry and Hermione turned back in terror.
It was a face that was thin to the point of extremity.
One could still see a trace of his former handsomeness on his face.
But now, it was filled with a ferocious look.
Moreover, his hair was covered in dust.
Harry could even see greasy strands of hair tangled together on his head.
"I don't think Darren ever imagined that someone he could easily handle in his hands would actually be able to knock him unconscious.
I thought of many ways to make him lose his combat effectiveness... finally, at that moment, I seized the opportunity, and I did it..."
The man said in a raspy voice.
Darren curled his lip.
What did he mean, Black seized the opportunity?
It was clearly his little saintly father self who couldn't bear to see him get taken out in one round, so he had pretended, alright!
"Who are you?"
Harry asked vigilantly.
"Ha, who am I? You still don't know?"
The man laughed.
Then he raised his wand and said, "Expelliarmus!"
The wands in Harry and Hermione's hands both flew into his.
"Incarcerous!"
He said again.
Harry and Hermione's upper bodies were bound.
"Truly... too weak!"
The man said mockingly.
He walked in front of Harry and, under Harry's vigilant gaze, supported Darren.
He supported Darren as he walked inside.
"You come too!"
He said in a raspy voice.
Harry and Hermione followed anxiously.
They saw the man place Darren on the bed in the inner room.
That bed looked much cleaner.
The man also took out Darren's wand.
Then he pointed the wand at Darren and said, "Incarcerous."
Darren was also bound by him.
"A little more precaution will be safer... I cannot have any accidents before someone dies here!"
"Who exactly are you!"
Harry shouted angrily.
The man laughed.
