Chapter 80: Darren
For the next few days, Darren would be dragged by Harry to see the mirror. In fact, he didn't want to see it.
Not only did he have to fabricate memories for this thing, but he also had to express his thoughts after seeing it. It was a huge hassle.
If it weren't for the Saint Father Value comforting him, he would definitely have refused this suggestion.
Perhaps Darren’s thoughts moved Dumbledore.
Just as Harry brought him to see the mirror again, Dumbledore arrived.
"Children, you've come again."
"Professor Dumbledore... I'm sorry."
Darren lowered his head in embarrassment, clearly feeling guilty for violating school rules and being discovered by the Headmaster.

"No need to apologize, child. Anyone who sees the Mirror of Erised would make such a move."
Dumbledore smiled softly. He winked at Darren.
Darren smiled embarrassedly. Only then did he look at Harry. Harry stepped back sheepishly. He was also a member of those who violated school rules.
"Alright, children, I am not here to punish you. I just want to tell you that I am going to move it and hide it in a place where no one can find it."
Dumbledore said softly.
"No... I... I still want to see Mom and Dad, I promise, I won't come to see it at night anymore!"
Before Darren could speak, Harry had already shouted eagerly.
Dumbledore didn't speak; he looked at Darren, as if wanting to hear his opinion.
Darren smiled bitterly and said in Harry’s anxious gaze: "Professor, you are right. At first, I was indeed addicted to this mirror. I thought it would let me see the future or see another world.
But the more I looked, the more I suddenly understood that it wasn't real; it was just something I imagined in my heart.
I felt that Mom and Dad would live in such a world, so they were there.
I thought my brother and I had a younger brother and sister, and then we really had them. This is fake!
I miss them, but I won't escape reality. My brother has been bringing me here every day for the past few days, and I wanted to tell him.
But I felt, perhaps it would be better not to tell him. Maybe it would be better to tell him these facts later?
I'm sorry, brother, I just wanted you to be happy for a few more days.
Don't be like me, suddenly understanding the meaning of this mirror, and then never being able to sit happily in front of it again."
As Darren spoke, he suddenly turned his head to wipe his eyes.
Harry only then discovered that his green eyes were already red.
Those green eyes, the same as Mom’s and his own, were now filled with sorrow.

[Ding, Saint Father Value +100] Hmm.
Clearly, these words moved Dumbledore and Harry deeply.
It also explained why he hadn't been actively looking at the mirror with Harry these past two days. In fact, he thought the act of looking at the mirror was incredibly stupid.
Every time he looked at the mirror, he would be prompted with Legilimency, forcing him to forge memories.
If he didn't forge memories, he could only see himself in the mirror. See the slightly sorrowful expression he had put on.
It was incredibly awkward, okay! Fortunately, no one knew.
"Child, I am very happy that you can be so clear-headed... That's right, this mirror can only see what you want to see...
The happiest person in the world can only see themselves in it. Alright, it’s so late, why don't you two put on your Invisibility Cloak and go back to sleep?"
Dumbledore asked with a smile.
Harry could only stand up and ask curiously: "Then Professor Dumbledore, what can you see in it?"
"Socks! I see myself standing there holding a pair of woolen socks.
Christmas comes and goes, and no one ever remembers to give me socks; they only give me books!"
Dumbledore said with regret. Darren rolled his eyes secretly. Who are you kidding! Harry doesn't even believe that!
However, he still showed a pure look and said seriously: "I'm sorry, Mr. Dumbledore, I thought you liked candy, so I gave you a bunch of candy for Christmas. Next year I will definitely give you woolen socks."

Darren, having harvested another bunch of Saint Father Value, was quickly dragged away by Harry. With such a pure Darren, how could he possibly protect him well?
After the Mirror of Erised was taken away by Dumbledore, Harry remembered to tell Ron about this.
Ron was a little angry: "You should have invited me to go see what I was thinking about!"
However, when he learned that Harry had become obsessed with looking at the mirror, he immediately felt it was better that the mirror was moved away.
Hermione also returned from outside the school.
She blushed and thanked Darren for the silver necklace he gave her.
It was a star-diamond style necklace, which looked very beautiful.
"Oh, you're welcome, that was purchased by Paqi. It is said to be very popular in the Muggle world. She bought a diamond mine and made a box of them, letting me and Darren give them away!"
Harry said nonchalantly.
Then he received a murderous look from Hermione.
"Hmph!"
Hermione snorted forcefully at Harry, then turned and ran to the girls' dormitory.
She didn't even dare to look into Darren’s eyes.
"Where are you going?"
"Packing my things, if I have to report that to you too!"
Hermione’s unhappy voice came from upstairs, sounding absolutely furious.
"What's wrong? Is she angry about that necklace? It really was given by Paqi!"
Harry scratched his hair in confusion, finally only able to sigh that girls always get angry for no reason.
Even Hermione was the same as ordinary girls. Darren twitched the corner of his mouth.
He was now glad he didn't enter Gryffindor, otherwise, the fact that he had prepared necklaces for every girl he knew this time would have been exposed by Harry.
Thank goodness, the girls in Slytherin wouldn't talk about gifts so openly.
They would only shyly express their gratitude and wouldn't mention what the gift was, and others wouldn't ask more.
And they certainly wouldn't be as loose-lipped as Harry to expose it. Forget it, who let Harry be his good big brother?
And he was young now, so being pure and ignorant was normal; no girl would have the heart to be angry with him.
