Chapter 588: Hogwarts Learning Panel, Chapter 249
"Scabbers! My God! Take—Neville—away—ah—"
Luo En panicked.
Neville's claws were clawing at Scabbers.
Luo En grabbed Scabbers' tail, and his other hand wanted to grab Neville, but he touched the corner of Harry's table. The pudding on the table shook.
Luo En clutched his hand, screaming in pain.
This was a happy Christmas.
Sean looked at the gifts from the young wizards, his green eyes slightly out of focus.
—Five sweaters. Hermione packed an extra scarf, and Jia Siting put in an extra pair of gloves.
"My mother said—"
It was Jia Siting's voice, coming from a letter,
"The most worth-caring thing is that when snowflakes fly, the good news of the world falls in low places."
Sean raised his head; it was the young wizards saying it in unison.
Jia Siting was leading; Hermione's face was red from intense exercise; Harry was holding the orange cat Neville, trying to make him spit out Scabbers' tail; and Luo En was pulling Scabbers pitifully, while also trying to make a reluctant smile.
"Cheese!"
Colin appeared out of nowhere; this first-year freshman was quick-eyed and took a special photo.
Now, everyone could see that the corners of Sean's mouth were raised high.
On the high table, Professor Dumbledore was leading the young wizards to sing his favorite Christmas carols, and after Hagrid drank cup after cup of eggnog, his voice became louder and louder.
Percy didn't notice that Fred had cast a spell on his prefect badge, making the words on it become "Big Head Boy," and still foolishly kept asking everyone what they were laughing at.
Draco Ma Kusi, sitting at the Slytherin table, loudly mocked Harry's new sweater, and when he looked at Sean, he implied that Sean's sweater looked very tasteful—even though they were actually all carefully made by Mrs. Wei Silai.
This winter.
It was as if all the interesting memories of the past were thrown into the furnace, letting the young wizards roast and eat them, piece by piece.
