Chapter 851: Returning Home
The house-elf lay on the edge of the coffin, at a loss, bean-sized tears falling from the corners of its eyes.
"Young Master Black!"
It cried out.
"Young Master Black! You have finally returned!"
It opened its mouth wide in surprise again.
"Why aren't you speaking?"
It shouted again.
"Are you asleep? Oh, you really must take care of your health; the weather in this house is devilishly cold."
It snapped its fingers, and a quilt several times larger than itself appeared in its arms out of thin air.
"He is dead."
Sirius could not bear to watch, and said irritably.
"He is not dead!!"
The house-elf roared loudly, and then began to slap itself frantically,
"How could Kreacher speak to Young Master Black like that."
After it finished speaking, it turned its head away.
Its face turned toward the carpet, and it said in a voice that others could clearly hear:
"—Coming back from Azkaban, he starts bossing Kreacher around, oh, my poor mistress, if she saw this scene, what would she say?
Ha! He brought back some riff-raff—she swore not to recognize him as her son, and now he has returned, and they say he is a murderer—"
The house-elf kept talking like this; it seemed very old and its hearing was poor, so it spoke in a very obvious voice, thinking others were like it and couldn't hear at this volume.
"Don't mind him, he has been alone for too long,"
Sirius said, seeing Pu Keqi raise its bow and arrow, and hurried to say,
"He received some crazy orders from my mother's portrait, so he always talks to himself."
"Riff-raff?! Damn stupid thing, Mr. Green being willing to come to such a place is your greatest honor!"
Butler Pu Keqi had no reaction to Sirius's explanation; it stared angrily at Kreacher, the sharp arrow already pressed against Kreacher's head.
"The house is not clean; a dirty thing has come, green, standing there brazenly and unscrupulously.
If my mistress knew, oh, how sadly she would cry?
But a new boy has come here; Kreacher doesn't know his name. What is he doing here? Kreacher doesn't know."
Kreacher lay on the coffin, covering Regulus's pale corpse with the quilt, and looked at them with a venomous gaze.
"Damn fellow—"
Butler Pu Keqi lunged at Kreacher, and they wrestled together, rolling around and knocking the cupboard until it clattered loudly.
A few seconds later, the battle ended with Butler Pu Keqi tying Kreacher's hands behind its back.
"If you dare to be the slightest bit disrespectful to Mr. Green again—"
Wei Er rode on top of Kreacher, the arrow scratching Kreacher's ear and pinning firmly into the ground; this time even Kreacher reacted. ===== CHAPTER 852 =====
