Chapter 887: New Professor
People ran past the door of their compartment.
The young wizards talked excitedly about Hogsmeade, occasionally glancing at the sleeping new professor.
Sean was also able to observe Lu Ping's current situation.
He was still very haggard, which was to be expected; before leaving, he had been interviewing new wizard managers without sleep or rest.
But his clothes were much better, although he still couldn't bear to part with those patched garments.
He also carried that trunk; Sean knew his Transfiguration spell couldn't last that long, so it was Lu Ping himself who had extended the magic.
Lu Ping always remembered every bit of kindness.
Perhaps it was because he had received too little kindness, just like a certain young wizard.
The train moved forward, and Sean also gradually sank into the ocean of magical history.
He held the unfinished *Wizarding Magic Chronicles*, barely moving in his seat, only occasionally pointing his finger, and the book would automatically turn pages.
At one o'clock, the fat witch pushing the food cart came to the door of their compartment.
"Do you think we should wake him up?"
Luo En nodded at Professor Lu Ping and asked, somewhat at a loss,
"He looks like he needs to eat something."
Hemin approached Professor Lu Ping cautiously.
"Er—Professor?"
She said,
"Excuse me—Professor?"
He didn't move.
"You take a look—this is yours—"
Hemin turned to Jia Siting.
"He is very tired, Hemin; it took him two days and one night to select a qualified wizard manager."
Jia Siting said helplessly.
"Don't worry, dear,"
The cart witch came in and said as she handed a large stack of cauldron-shaped cakes to Jia Siting,
"If he feels hungry after waking up, I'll be up ahead, with the driver."
"I think he's asleep, right?"
After the witch closed the compartment's sliding door, Luo En said in a low voice,
"I mean—he's not dead, is he?"
"He's still breathing."
Hemin said in a low voice, taking the cauldron-shaped cake Jia Siting handed her.
Although Professor Lu Ping wasn't a very good travel companion, having him in their compartment was still useful.
Around three or four in the afternoon, it began to rain, and the rolling hills outside the window became blurred.
Just then, the young wizards heard footsteps in the aisle again, and immediately three people they didn't like appeared at the door.
Draco Ma Erfu, followed by his two cronies on the left and right: Vincent Ke La Bu and Gregori Gao Er.
Ma Erfu had a pale, pointed face that always carried a sneer, and was in Slytherin House.
He served as the Seeker on the Slytherin Quidditch team, while one of the young wizards: Harry, was in the same position on the Gryffindor team.
Of course, neither of them had ever beaten a certain Ravenclaw Seeker.
Yes, they all said that, if you accidentally beat Ravenclaw, then the furious Ravenclaws would bring out their true core.
Wood always felt powerless about this; he had never seen this Ravenclaw train, so how could he defeat him?
"Hey, look who it is."
Ma Erfu opened the compartment door and said in his lazy, drawling tone,
"Snot and Wei Silai."
Ke La Bu and Gao Er laughed hoarsely like trolls.
"Wait a minute—"
Ma Erfu suddenly raised his hand to stop their laughter.
He looked over with a guilty look Harry had never seen before; he could see that inside the compartment at this moment, the black-haired young wizard was reading seriously.
After hearing their noise, he frowned.
"Stop laughing—"
Ma Erfu lowered his voice to his followers.
Ke La Bu and Gao Er also naturally stopped laughing after seeing the person in the compartment.
No wizard who had participated in the Dueling Club would underestimate a young wizard who liked to read; if there was one, they must have never been knocked down in one move.
"I heard your dad finally got some gold again this summer,"
Ma Erfu lowered his voice to Luo En,
"Was your mom surprised to death?"
Although he lacked momentum when speaking in a low voice, Luo En still stood up abruptly, knocking Keliqie's basket to the floor.
At this moment, Lu Ping snorted.
"Who is that?"
Ma Erfu said, and upon seeing Lu Ping, he instinctively took a step back.
"The new teacher."
Harry said and also stood up, so as to pull Luo En back if needed,
"What did you just say, Ma Erfu?"
Ma Erfu's gray eyes narrowed.
He wasn't a fool and wouldn't cause trouble under a teacher's nose.
Besides, he had come to mock in the first place.
Otherwise, for him to fight under the nose of a certain young wizard and disturb his reading—no Hogwarts wizard had the guts for that.
"Let's go."
He said to Ke La Bu and Gao Er in a good mood.
The three of them disappeared. Harry and Luo En sat back down, and Luo En rubbed his knuckles.
"I won't tolerate Ma Erfu's nonsense this semester."
He said angrily,
"I mean what I say; if he dares to mock our family again, I'll grab his head—"
Luo En made a violent gesture in the air.
"Luo En, you are a wizard—"
Hemin reminded him unpleasantly.
"Oh!"
Luo En seemed to have realized something, his eyes lighting up.
How could he have forgotten that he hadn't spent a single day slacking off in his second year at Hogwarts!
"I have eight curses, look..."
Luo En said excitedly, only to be glared at fiercely by Hemin again, who pointed at the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor in the seat. ===== CHAPTER 888 =====
