Chapter 100: Heading to the Quidditch World Cup Site
In the end, Hermione still couldn't stay overnight.
The reason was none other than Mr. Granger couldn't stand John and his own daughter sleeping together.
Although the Merrick couple tried to persuade them in every possible way, Mr. Granger still insisted on taking his daughter back.
John didn't feel any reluctance about this.
After all, only when Hermione left did his mom and dad see him as their son.
It's just a pity that Big Orange also left.
The summer vacation officially started on the second day.
There were no special programs in the early part of this vacation, so no need to say more.
John just did his homework and read books as usual, occasionally talked on the phone with Hermione, and wrote letters to his friends.
Later, Hermione even went traveling with her family.
Before going traveling, the Granger couple even invited their family to go.
As a result, the two elders had used up all their vacation time before, so they couldn't go and regretted it.
Until mid-August, the day to go watch the Quidditch World Cup drew closer and closer.
Early this morning, Titus sent a letter to John, sharing the itinerary for the later part.
According to him, the site of the Quidditch World Cup was set in a desolate swamp.
The Ministry of Magic would open that place in advance for wizards coming to watch the match to go over and set up camp in advance.
And because Mr. Claude needed to go over early to participate in the work coordination and site layout of the Sports Department.
So their group would set off a week in advance, which was the day after tomorrow.
Sirius's group was also the same; they would set off together with them the day after tomorrow.
Titus's letter also said that Sirius was actually the "nanny" invited by Mr. Claude.
Because they were going over a week in advance, their group of children needed a parent to manage them, and Mrs. Claude couldn't go to take care of the children because of work.
So he went to find Sirius to reminisce about old times, and by the way, gave him tickets and invited him to travel together.
Then when they got to the camp, Mr. Claude would go to participate in work, leaving only Sirius as an adult, so even if he didn't want to manage them, he had to manage them.
Good guy.
Mr. Claude didn't give these tickets for nothing.
John couldn't help but laugh out loud after reading the letter; Sirius was probably still kept in the dark, thinking these tickets were the old junior's good intentions.
Little did he know that he had been calculated to death and became the temporary guardian of this group of unlucky children.
Those tickets were considered the nanny fee for the next week.
In the evening, John told his family about the arrangements for the day after tomorrow.
He had mentioned before that he would go watch the Quidditch World Cup at the end of the summer vacation, but the time hadn't been set.
Now that it was set, his parents naturally didn't object.
Although they hadn't heard of that Quidditch World Cup, they knew there were several peers and two adults from two families traveling together, so they weren't too worried.
If they knew that the person taking care of the children was an escaped murderer who appeared on TV a year ago, what would they think.
Although he had been cleared now, it would still make people feel unreliable.
Also, after this Quidditch World Cup ended, it would just happen to catch up with the day school started, and the time was just right.
So after going this time, the next time he came back might be Christmas, or even next summer.
Time quickly arrived at the day after tomorrow.
Five o'clock in the morning, the sky was just beginning to brighten.
John woke up from Titus's bed.
Yes, in order to facilitate setting off early this morning, John stayed at Titus's house the night before.
Also staying in were Rui'an and Yisen.
The three of them were sleeping spread-eagled on the carpet in the center of the tent at this time.
John stretched, then got up and walked toward them, giving each of them a slap.
"Hmph!"
Titus let out a strange muffled grunt, only then turned over and opened his eyes in a daze.
Rui'an and Yisen were much more normal; they rubbed their eyes and sat up.
"It's five o'clock, change clothes and get ready to set off."
John saw that they were all awake, left a sentence, and walked outside.
After John finished washing up and came out, Mr. Claude was already sitting outside, and Mrs. Claude had prepared a sumptuous breakfast for them.
"Morning, John."
"Morning, Mr. Claude."
Mr. Claude smiled at him and continued.
"Sirius will bring his people over in a while; you should all know the people he's bringing, especially that boy who lived."
"Of course, I've seen him a few times at school, and the relationship is okay."
Hearing this, Mr. Claude nodded.
"That's good, you're all peers, I believe you can get along well."
Soon, Titus and the others also came out to eat breakfast together.
Just after finishing the meal, the doorbell rang.
Mr. Claude went to open the door; standing outside the door was exactly Sirius, and two men and one woman.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
"Hey, Sirius, you guys finally came."
Mr. Claude smiled and greeted, and Sirius also smiled and greeted.
"We shouldn't be late, old classmate."
"No, the time is just right."
Saying this, Mr. Claude waved to the few people in the house.
"Alright children, let's go, time waits for no one."
So everyone put on their respective backpacks and walked out together.
"Hey, children, long time no see."
Sirius saw them and also smiled and greeted, and everyone responded politely.
Harry smiled at them, and Ron also nodded at them; regarding the people traveling together this time, they had known it for a long time; it was Hermione who told them.
Hermione winked at John playfully, and a smile rose at the corners of her mouth.
The two of them talked on the phone almost every two days, so there was no need to say much at all.
After everyone exchanged simple greetings, they set off in a mighty force.
They all sat in Mr. Claude's extended Beetle van.
The carriage was packed full, but the atmosphere was unusually enthusiastic.
Titus and the others and Harry and Ron were all Quidditch enthusiasts; they just chatted a few simple sentences and couldn't stop.
Hermione and John sat in the last row, chatting in low voices about some random things.
They really didn't have anything to share now; after all, they talked on the phone often, and what could be talked about had already been talked about.
The car soon drove to the suburbs, and Mr. Claude found a place to park the car.
Then the group continued to walk toward the uninhabited suburban forest; the method of going to the Quidditch World Cup this time wasn't driving.
But through a magical item called a Portkey to perform teleportation.
This thing could teleport one or more people directly to a set location.
For this Quidditch World Cup, the Ministry of Magic had placed more than two hundred Portkeys in England for wizards to use.
Soon they arrived at an open forest clearing, where an old rubber tire was placed, and there were some old Muggle sundries beside it.
Mr. Claude took out his pocket watch and took a look.
"Hmm, the time is just right."
"Everyone come and stretch out your hands, put them on this tire."
Mr. Claude said to the crowd; although some people were using a Portkey for the first time, they still quickly followed suit.
When everyone put their hands on it, Mr. Claude looked at his pocket watch again.
"Three, two, one..."
Just as the countdown ended, an invisible suction force suddenly sucked everyone in.
With a pop, everyone disappeared from the spot. ===== CHAPTER 101 =====
