Chapter 22: Pet Mouse Scabbers?
"Professor, is there a spell that can apply solidification to an object to prevent accidental damage?"
After entering the classroom, John and Professor Fuliwei sat casually on the horizontal row of tables and chairs.
Then John asked Professor Fuliwei with curiosity.
"Oh, solidification, preventing accidental damage..."
"You want to protect something so it won't be damaged, right?"
"There is no such spell for the time being; rather than saying there isn't, it's better to say no one is willing to develop it."
Upon hearing John's question, Professor Fuliwei thought for a while while stroking his chin before giving an answer.
Without waiting for John to ask why no one developed it, Professor Fuliwei continued: "Because there is already a more convenient spell: the Repair Spell."
Saying this, Professor Fuliwei directly demonstrated it on the spot.
He waved his wand casually, and a book placed on the cabinet flew out.
The next moment, it was hit by a red spell from Professor Fuliwei, directly shattering into pieces and turning into paper scraps filling the sky.
"Watch closely, *Reparo*."
As Professor Fuliwei's voice fell, the paper scraps filling the sky seemed as if time were flowing backward, suddenly gathering together and restoring to their original state without the slightest damage.
Seeing this scene, John's eyes shone with light.
"Professor, I want to learn this!"
Looking at John's admiring gaze, Professor Fuliwei laughed happily: "Of course, although this is not your current course, I believe your talent will definitely be able to learn it."
However, the Professor didn't let John directly try to repair the paper scraps filling the sky, but took out a piece of paper, tore it in half, and placed it in front of John.
"First, take out your wand, draw a circle at the target, then point lightly at the target, and recite the spell, *Reparo*."
"The more complex the repair, the more difficult this spell is, and the more magic power and energy it consumes."
John nodded and, according to Professor Fuliwei's guidance, first practiced the pronunciation of the spell and the gestures of the wand.
After practicing, John aimed at the paper torn in half and waved his wand: "*Reparo*."
Following his action, John again felt the trajectory of the magic power flowing in his body and grasped that feeling.
The magic power flowed out from the tip of the wand and wrapped around the two halves of the paper; the next moment, the two halves of the paper automatically pieced together.
Professor Fuliwei was the first to pick up the paper and inspect it.
"Very good, very good, Merrick, you really are very talented."
"Afterward, you must practice diligently, and you will be able to fully master this spell and repair whatever you want to repair."
"Of course, there is one point I must remind you: this spell cannot repair some advanced magical items."
Seeing John succeed, Fuliwei was very happy; students who could learn as soon as they were taught were truly too few.
However, he still continued to explain some knowledge about the Repair Spell to John.
"Then, Professor Fuliwei, how do wizards usually protect those advanced magical items that cannot be repaired?"
Learning this spell all at once made John's interest in this spell increase quite a bit, so he continued to ask.
"Magical items themselves are collections of magic power, and most basic spells have no effect on these items."
"Unless your magic power is incomparably powerful, it is possible to affect magical items."
"Ordinary wizards usually can't do it, so ordinary wizards usually use the Iron Armor Spell to wrap around a magical item, making it impossible for external damage to easily attack it."
"More advanced ones might use some powerful spells to hide things; you can't touch these for the time being. You have just stepped into the wizarding world, so there is no need to be so anxious."
John nodded; he also understood the truth that one must take steps one by one.
Today's harvest was quite rich; he learned two spells, got a Transfiguration diary, and learned some knowledge about the wizarding world; John was very satisfied.
However, he suddenly remembered his thought from last night and continued to ask Professor Fuliwei.
"Eh, by the way, Professor, I have one more question."
"If I learn the Cleaning Spell, can I not have to take a bath?"
Professor Fuliwei: "......"
Afterward, John learned the Cleaning Spell as he wished; like the Repair Spell, he learned it as soon as he was taught.
However, upon learning that the Cleaning Spell was also water washing, rather than suddenly making a person clean, John was still disappointed.
That is to say, he still had to take off his clothes to take a bath.
It was just changing from hand washing to automatic magic cleaning.
Then I might as well wash by hand; what if the magic is heavy-handed and hurts my good brother?
At lunchtime, John returned to the Great Hall; Ryan and Ethan thought Professor McGonagall had also grabbed John to do hard labor.
John just explained it simply, saying Professor McGonagall gave him extra lessons, but didn't mention the diary.
It wasn't that John was stingy and didn't want to share, but this diary was Professor McGonagall's private diary, and without her consent, it wasn't good to show it to others casually.
If they wanted to learn, they would naturally find a teacher or a top student to learn from.
After eating, John returned to the dormitory for a nap as usual, while Ryan and Ethan were excited about the flying class in the afternoon and didn't want to rest, so John went back alone.
Flying class should be like PE class in his previous life, always able to make children excited.
Just as John was walking to the dormitory, he saw that big-faced orange cat again; it was chasing a mouse, exactly the same scene as when he first saw it.
A good cat, a cat that can catch mice is a good cat.
John didn't recognize that this mouse was the same one as last time; after all, in his view, mice all looked about the same.
Seeing John blocking the front, the mouse actually chose to change direction and run around John.
But how could John let it go? In three steps, he stepped directly on the mouse.
The mouse immediately let out a squeak of misery, and its body struggled violently.
"Big Orange, I caught the mouse for you this time, aren't you going to thank me?"
Seeing the mouse stepped on by John, the orange cat slowed its pace, came over to sniff, bit the mouse's butt, and patted John's foot with its paw.
It seemed to be signaling that he could let go of the mouse.
John slowly lifted his foot; the mouse struggled even more violently, but it was firmly suppressed by this orange cat.
A move of the Shadowless Meow Meow Claw slapped the mouse until it couldn't find north.
Just as John was watching with interest, a man and a woman ran out from the corner; it was Ron and Hermione, whom he had seen at the entrance of the Hall this morning.
"Scabbers!"
"Quickly let go of Scabbers!!"
Seeing the scene in front of him, Ron immediately rushed over angrily, kicked the orange cat away, and protected the mouse that had been bitten all over with wounds.
"Oh no, Scabbers, how are you, don't die."
Ron held the mouse, talking to himself worriedly.
Originally, when he saw Ron kick Big Orange, John wanted to scold him, but when he saw Ron's appearance, John's brain couldn't turn around for a moment.
Could this mouse be a pet he raised?
Hiss, then didn't I just almost kill someone's pet... ===== CHAPTER 23 =====
