Chapter 438: Grand Finale

~8 min read 1,474 words

Later, John and Hermione held a wedding.

It was still held in the church where they had gotten engaged back then.

However, this time it was not on the lawn outside the church, but inside the church, witnessed by relatives and friends, officiated by the priest.

They exchanged rings and vowed to stay together for life.

Until fifteen years later—

"Brother, good morning."

Early in the morning.

The voice full of energy came from the foyer at home.

"Good morning, Yuer, why are you here so early?"

John was holding a cup of tea, looking at Yuer bursting in energetically, and asked with a smile.

"Eh, it's not that David is finally going to enroll at Hogwarts today."

"So I came specially to pick him up."

Yuer hehe-laughed, then sat down on the sofa by himself, picked up the apple on the coffee table and took a bite.

Fifteen years have passed since his birth.

The little girl has now grown into a graceful young lady; her brows and eyes have lost some childishness, gaining the brightness and confidence of a maiden.

Her appearance remains just as it was over a decade ago, as she looked when she used John's body to study at Hogwarts.

"That kid is probably still sleeping in; you go wake him yourself." John held his tea cup and jerked his chin toward the upstairs.

"Howl, you as a father have zero sense of responsibility, not caring about your own son's first day of school—I might as well make David my adopted son."

Seeing his brother's indifferent attitude, Yuer couldn't help but roll his eyes.

"Fine, take him along; I can finally have some peace and quiet."

As soon as the words were spoken, a slap landed on the back of his head.

Hermione had somehow already stood behind John.

Over the past fifteen years, Hermione's appearance has remained as it was; the years left on her face not wrinkles, but a settled intelligence and maturity.

"Spouting nonsense first thing in the morning."

Seeing his brother get hit, Yuer immediately gloated and laughed out loud.

Still chewing the apple, he mumbled, "Good morning, sister-in-law, nice hit."

Seeing Yuer like that, Hermione helplessly shook her head and poked his forehead.

"And you, Yuer, since you started school four years ago, Professor Maige has written me more than once to complain about you."

"This year David is enrolling; you'd better not lead him astray, or you'll regret it."

Seeing Hermione turn her criticism toward him, Yuer immediately shrank his neck.

"Oh dear, sister-in-law, I wouldn't dare."

"He's my beloved nephew; I dote on him and can't wait—how could I lead him astray?"

Hearing that, John couldn't help but chuckle: "You say that—do you yourself believe it?"

Yuer immediately widened his eyes, patted his chest, and declared earnestly: "Of course I believe it!"

"With me around, no one at Hogwarts dares to bully David!"

At that moment, footsteps came from the stairs.

An 11-year-old boy walked down the stairs—none other than John and Hermione's son, David Meilik.

He happened to hear his aunt's earnest promise.

He couldn't help but retort: "No one dares to bully me... but the only one who bullies me has always been you, Aunt......"

"Pfft—" John nearly spat out his mouthful of tea.

Even Hermione, who had been deliberately keeping a stern face, couldn't help but curl the corners of her mouth and cover her smile with her hand.

Yuer's face instantly flushed red.

"You little ingrate, Aunt usually treats you so well, yet you dare to scheme against me!"

David looked at this Magic Pellet Aunt, who is only four years older than him, with a speechless expression.

And there's his mother, who is clearly the newly appointed minister of the Ministry of Magic, yet turns a blind eye to Aunt's pranks.

And his father, who stays out of everything, does nothing except cling to his mother.

He felt his future was pitch black.

"All right, all right, come eat breakfast."

"After we finish, we'll go together to see David off at the train station."

Hermione came over and pinched David's cheeks, her tone full of affection.

David then gave an "uh" and obediently sat down at the table.

The family sat around the table eating breakfast.

After finishing, they tidied up and then set out together for King's Cross Station.

Passing through the bustling Muggle crowd, Yuer and David pushed their luggage cart, familiar with the route, arriving at the entrance to platform 9¾.

A few years earlier, David had accompanied his parents to see Yuer off, so he was also quite familiar with the place.

Here they ran into many acquaintances.

Titus, Ryan, and Ethan have also started families.

The three families happen to be chatting together right now.

"They're here."

Seeing several people arrive, they immediately waved enthusiastically.

Not far away, the families of Harry, Ron, and Draco also gathered.

Titus got a girlfriend at the Ministry of Magic, soon married and had a big fat son.

He inherited his father's build from back then.

Ryan married a French witch he met at the Quidditch pitch; they fell in love at first sight and now have two mixed-race babies with blond hair and blue eyes, gorgeous beyond words.

Ethan married a healer from Sheng Mang Ge and after marriage had a pair of dragon and phoenix twins.

Harry and Ginny are together; there's nothing much to say about it.

After all, they had been exchanging glances since school.

Ron, meanwhile, is with Lavender Brown; it seems after graduation they were both single and both worked at the Ministry of Magic, gradually getting together.

Draco, as he wished, married Astoria.

Now Astoria has the low-grade longevity potion steadily provided by John, her complexion is rosy, showing no signs of being tormented by the Blood Curse.

As for Neville and Luna.

They too have gotten together, but their child is not yet of school age, so they didn't come to see them off today.

"David!"

A little chubby waddled over—it was Titus's son, little Titus.

Behind him followed a blond‑blue‑eyed little girl, Ryan's eldest daughter, as well as Ethan's dragon‑phoenix twins.

Their several children are all the same age, so this year they will all start Hogwarts together.

Ryan's little daughter, however, will only be able to enroll in two years.

The children of Harry's, Ron's, and Draco's families are a bit older, so they entered one or two years earlier.

Everyone often interacts, so they are not strangers to each other.

But David gets along best with the children of Titus, Ryan, and Ethan.

The several children gathered together, chattering away, with David surrounded in the middle, finally showing a hint of a smile.

At this moment, Yueer appeared.

"Hmph, long time no see, everyone—from now on we're classmates too~"

Seeing Yueer appear, little Titus and the others instantly got scared and hid behind David.

This Magic Orb has often tormented these little kids before.

It often turned into strange, weird things to scare them, and made up all sorts of Hogwarts ghost stories, once making them terribly afraid of that so‑called Magic School at Hogwarts.

"Auntie, stop scaring them," David said helplessly.

"What auntie? Don't try to get cozy with me; from now on at school you call me senior." Yueer then gave David a knock on the head.

David: "???"

"Who just said at home, swearing up and down, that they'd look after me well at school?"

"Now look, you haven't even boarded the train and already you're putting on airs as a senior."

Everyone couldn't help but laugh—Yueer back then was still the same Yueer, unchanged.

Astoria took Yueer's hand and softly said, "Yueer, at school you need to look after the kids, stop always scaring them—you're an elder after all."

"Got it, Astoria sis." Yueer stuck out her tongue.

Astoria's words carry more weight than John's, and their friendship hasn't changed at all despite Yueer once turning into a baby and regrowing.

Now it's more like they're ageless friends; Yueer is always especially well‑behaved in front of Astoria.

"All right, kids, time's about up—hurry aboard."

At this moment John glanced at the station clock and said to the children.

The children who entered a few years earlier were already old hands at the procedure and all boarded the train.

David's few children also reluctantly bade farewell to their parents, lugging their bags toward the waiting Hogwarts Express.

Watching the children's backs—some excited, some nervous, some eager.

The parents' hearts were filled with mixed feelings—both reluctance and worry, as well as comfort and nostalgia.

Years ago, they too had once laughed and stepped onto the train to the Magical World.

Now.

Their children will also embark on this journey full of magic and the unknown, opening their own adventure chapter.
