Chapter 2: Memories of the Original Body
Sunlight spilled into the room through the gaps in the curtains. Wu Xiang Qian slowly opened his eyes, his mind a blur of chaos. He sat up, looked around, and realized he was lying in an unfamiliar room. Several movie posters were pasted on the walls, and a few textbooks lay on the desk.
"Where is this?" Wu Xiang Qian murmured to himself, his brows furrowing slightly.
Just then, a surge of unfamiliar memories suddenly flooded his mind, sweeping over him like a tide. He paused for a moment, then understood—it was the original body's memories.
"So that's it..." Wu Xiang Qian said softly, "I have transmigrated into the body of this person named Wu Xiang Qian."
He closed his eyes and carefully sorted through the original body's memories. The original body was a high school graduate named Wu Xiang Qian, eighteen years old. His background was quite tortuous—abducted by human traffickers at age eight, but he had cleverly slipped away while the traffickers slept, was subsequently adopted by a kind couple, and had lived a stable life ever since.
Wu Xiang Qian stood up, walked to the mirror in the room, and carefully examined his reflection. The youth in the mirror was tall and slender, standing at 185 centimeters, with a clear and handsome face. A faint trace of melancholy lingered between his eyebrows, and his entire demeanor radiated an elegant, willow-like grace.
"This appearance... truly lives up to the saying 'More graceful than Pan An, a single pear blossom overshadowing the begonia'." Wu Xiang Qian couldn't help but smile and muttered to himself.
He looked down at his own figure, which was lean but well-proportioned, clearly the result of maintaining a healthy lifestyle for a long time. He raised his hand and gently clenched his fist, feeling a surge of youthful strength coursing through his body.
"This physique... not bad. Since I have come to this world, I will live well." Wu Xiang Qian said softly.
Wu Xiang Qian found a notebook named "Diary" on the desk.
Wu Xiang Qian opened the notebook; inside were the diaries written by the original body. He casually opened the most recent entry and began to read carefully.
"Today, I finally graduated from high school. Looking back on these few years, life was plain but fulfilling. My adoptive parents treated me very well, and I always studied hard, hoping to get into an ideal university and repay their kindness in raising me. It's just... sometimes, I always think of my biological parents. Where are they now? Are they still looking for me? Perhaps I will never see them again in this lifetime..."
After finishing the diary, a faint sense of sorrow welled up in Wu Xiang Qian's heart. He closed the computer, walked to the bedside, sat down, and fell into deep thought.
"The original body's background was indeed somewhat bumpy, but since I have inherited his memories and body, I have the responsibility to live well on his behalf." Wu Xiang Qian said softly.
He stood up, walked to the wardrobe, and opened it; several simple clothes hung inside. He casually took out a white T-shirt and a pair of jeans. After changing, he looked even fresher and more crisp.
"What should I do next?" Wu Xiang Qian murmured to himself.
Just then, a knock on the door sounded. "Xiang Qian, are you up? Breakfast is ready." It was the adoptive mother's gentle voice. "I'm up, Mom, I'll be out right away." Wu Xiang Qian replied. He walked out of the room and saw a table full of a hearty breakfast, with his adoptive parents smiling and waiting for him. "Qian'er, since you have nothing to do today after graduation, why not go to your father's factory with him? It might give you some direction for the future." The adoptive father said. A thought stirred in Wu Xiang Qian's heart; he knew the Hong Kong film industry was about to take off, and perhaps he could find opportunities in this field. "Dad, Mom, I don't want to go to the factory. I want to try entering the film industry." Wu Xiang Qian said, summoning his courage. The adoptive parents exchanged a surprised glance. The adoptive mother said worriedly, "The film industry is very deep; can you handle it, Qian'er?" Wu Xiang Qian nodded firmly: "I want to try; I have confidence." Seeing his determined attitude, the adoptive parents finally nodded. "Alright then, if you want to go, go and make your mark. Mom and Dad support you." The adoptive father said. A warmth spread through Wu Xiang Qian's heart; with his family's support, he felt even more motivated to carve out a place for himself in this world.
"Since Heaven has given me a chance to live again, I will cherish it well." Wu Xiang Qian said softly.
He picked up his backpack, walked out of the room, and prepared to start a new day.
