Chapter 73: Xiang Sheng's Love

Outside the Macau Grand Lisboa Casino, a stretched Rolls-Royce Phantom slowed to a stop. The door opened, and Xiang Sheng, a cigar in his mouth, dressed in a white suit and wearing sunglasses, strode out with an air of arrogance.

"Xiang Sheng!" Several stagehands hurried over. "How did you get here?"

Xiang Sheng blew out a ring of smoke and grinned. "What, can't I come to visit? My nephew is the director; naturally, I, his uncle, must come and see!"

He strode into the set, his gaze sweeping over the busy crew before finally settling on the casino hall currently being filmed.

At that moment, Anita Mui, wearing a low-cut red evening gown, was filming a scene opposite Michael Miu, who played Ko Chun, beside a gambling table.

Under the lights, her red lips curved slightly, her eyes shifting; she was breathtakingly beautiful.

Xiang Sheng instantly froze in place, the cigar dropping from his mouth.

"Who... who is this beauty?" he asked the script supervisor beside him in a low voice.

The script supervisor followed his gaze. "Oh, that is Miss Anita Mui, playing Ko Chun's wife."

Xiang Sheng narrowed his eyes, a playful smile curling his lips. "Interesting..."

"Cut! That's a wrap!" Michael Miu called out. Turning, he suddenly saw Xiang Sheng and exclaimed in surprise, "Uncle Sheng, you're here?"

Xiang Sheng strode over and patted Michael Miu's shoulder. "Ah Fei, not bad!"

Yet his gaze remained fixed on Anita Mui, his smile radiant. "This must be Miss Anita Mui? I've long heard of your name!"

Anita Mui smiled politely. "Hello, Mr. Xiang."

Xiang Sheng grabbed her hand and shook it enthusiastically. "Oh, don't be so formal; just call me Ah Sheng!"

Michael Miu frowned, sensing something amiss, and quickly interjected. "Uncle Sheng, we still have another scene to shoot later..."

After filming ended, Xiang Sheng directly blocked Anita Mui, who was preparing to leave.

"Miss Zhang, are you free tonight? I've booked dinner on the top floor of the Grand Lisboa Hotel; shall we go together?"

Anita Mui politely declined. "I'm sorry, Mr. Xiang, but I need to memorize my lines this evening."

Xiang Sheng wouldn't give up. "How about tomorrow? I just bought a new yacht; I'll take you for a ride on the sea!"

Anita Mui smiled slightly. "I appreciate Mr. Xiang's kindness, but my schedule is very full recently."

Having said that, she turned and left with elegance.

Xiang Sheng stroked his chin; instead of getting angry, he became even more interested. "She has character; I like it!"

That night, in a hotel suite, Michael Miu was discussing the next day's shooting plan with Michael Miu.

Suddenly, Michael Miu received a phone call, and his face immediately darkened.

"This Ah Sheng, what mischief is he up to now!"

Michael Miu looked up. "What's wrong?"

Michael Miu snorted coldly. "He just had someone deliver 999 roses to Miss Zhang's room!"

Michael Miu held his forehead. "I knew it..."

Michael Miu directly called Xiang Sheng and scolded him without preamble. "Have you lost your mind? Miss Zhang is a newly signed artist of Eternal Rise; don't go causing trouble for me!"

On the other end of the line, Xiang Sheng was unbothered. "Big Brother, I am pursuing true love!"

Michael Miu roared. "True love your head! Starting tomorrow, you are not allowed to come near the set!"

The next day, Anita Mui proactively found Michael Miu.

"Young Master Xiang, regarding Mr. Xiang Sheng..."

Michael Miu looked apologetic. "Ah Min, I am truly sorry; my uncle he..."

Anita Mui smiled slightly. "I understand. However, I have a suggestion."

"What suggestion?"

"How about letting my 'boyfriend' come to visit?" Anita Mui blinked. "That way, Mr. Xiang should give up."

Michael Miu's eyes lit up. "Great idea!"

That afternoon, a tall, well-dressed mixed-race man arrived at the set and intimately put his arm around Anita Mui's waist.

Xiang Sheng indeed rushed over immediately. "Who is this?"

Anita Mui leaned sweetly against the man's shoulder. "My boyfriend, Michael, just returned from the UK."

Michael extended his hand politely. "Hello, Mr. Xiang; I often hear Min Min mention you."

Xiang Sheng's face turned green then white; finally, he could only let out two dry laughs. "Haha, good, very good..."

This farce finally came to an end, and the filming of "God of Gamblers" returned to normal.

After work that evening, Michael Miu specifically found Anita Mui. "Ah Min, thank you for cooperating today."

Anita Mui laughed. "No problem. However..." she lowered her voice, "that Michael is actually my cousin."

Michael Miu was stunned at first, then burst out laughing. "High! Truly high!"
