Chapter 966: Searching for the Treasure Chest

Hearing this news, they all breathed a sigh of relief.

Ding Xiaoyu asked: "May I ask what you need us to do?"

The old man said earnestly: "The secret of this ancient city is hidden in a mysterious treasure chest. This treasure chest is hidden in some corner of the city and needs us to search for it together. Only by finding the treasure chest and uncovering the truth of the ancient city can we prove your innocence."

Chu Tian and Chen Zihao expressed their willingness to help the old man.

Under the old man's guidance, they began to search for the treasure chest in the ancient city.

This time, they were more cautious because they knew this was their only chance to clear their names.

In the process of searching for the treasure chest, they discovered many clues they had not noticed before. They followed these clues and gradually approached the location of the treasure chest.

After some twists and turns, they finally found the treasure chest in an abandoned building in the ancient city. This treasure chest was simple and elegant, emitting a mysterious aura.

It seemed to be waiting for their arrival to uncover the truth of the ancient city.

The old man took out a special key and carefully inserted it into the keyhole of the treasure chest.

The treasure chest opened in response, and inside was actually an ancient scroll of parchment.

The parchment recorded all the secrets of the ancient city, including the truth about them being wrongly accused as murderers.

The old man interpreted the parchment and said: "It is written here that the real culprit who framed you is actually an evil force attempting to use the power of the ancient city to do evil."

The old man looked around to ensure no one was eavesdropping, then began to tell them the details of that evil force.

This evil force is actually an ancient secret organization that attempts to find the power of this ancient city in order to control the entire world.

To achieve their goal, they stop at nothing, even framing innocent people, the old man said in a solemn tone.

Ding Xiaoyu couldn't help but ask: "Then, why did they frame us?"

The old man sighed: "Because you were inadvertently drawn into their conspiracy."

Your process of searching for the truth happened to threaten their plan.

To divert attention, they chose to frame you, making you bear the crime of being murderers.

Chen Zihao clenched his fists and said angrily: "We must expose their crimes and let the world know the truth."

Chu Tian also agreed: "Yes, we cannot let them continue to do evil."

The old man nodded and said: "You have the courage to face the truth, and I admire that. Now that we have the evidence in our hands, we still need to make more preparations to completely expose this evil force. We must be united as one to succeed."

Thus, they began to formulate a plan to prepare to expose that evil force.

They collected more evidence and searched for other members of that secret organization.

At the same time, they also had to formulate a strategy on how to expose the truth to the world.

A few days later, they believed the time was ripe.

On a quiet night, they came to the city square.

The square was gathered with many citizens who wanted to hear about the legends of the ancient city. ===== CHAPTER 967 =====
