Chapter 112: Colonel Miyake
Early the next morning, Uncle Feng and Zhong Fabai were preparing to leave the grocery store when they happened to run into Zhang Wei.
Zhang Wei hurriedly asked, "Uncle Feng, Uncle Zhong, how do we deal with that Miyake Issei?"
Uncle Feng said calmly, "First, let's confirm whether he is a vampire. If he is a foreign vampire, then it will be troublesome."
Zhong Fabai added, "If this Miyake Issei has become a vampire, then there must certainly be another vampire."
Uncle Feng nodded and said, "Correct, vampires are Western ghosts and monsters. There are vampires on Hong Kong Island; my martial uncle once said he had dealt with vampires before."
Zhang Wei's eyes lit up and he said, "Then wouldn't it be solved if we just go find Martial Uncle-Grandmaster?"
Uncle Feng said with some hesitation, "Martial Uncle has not concerned himself with worldly affairs for many years; I fear he will not intervene in this matter."
Zhong Fabai patted his chest and said, "What is there to fear? Can we not handle a single vampire? Let's go!"
The three of them set off immediately to search for Miyake Issei's hideout.
Meanwhile, at the branch station, Inspector Ho, Kim Mak-kei, and Meng Chao were being reprimanded by Superintendent Hu Xin, who shouted, "In any case, you either bring Snakey Ming back to me, or you bring back the vampire you keep talking about!"
The three left the office looking dejected, and Ho Fanny asked with a bitter face, "What do we do now?"
Kim Mak-kei said nonchalantly, "That's easy, we go catch the vampire. Snakey Ming has already been burned to ashes."
Meng Chao said with some fear, "No way, that vampire is too powerful."
Ho Fanny nodded and said, "Right, we have to catch the vampire; let's go find that grocery store owner!"
The three set off immediately, but when they arrived at the grocery store, they saw that the shop was already closed.
The three were somewhat crestfallen and squatted in front of the shop entrance to discuss the situation, while Meng Chao was happy to stall for time.
But not an hour later, Uncle Feng, Zhong Fabai, and Zhang Wei returned to the grocery store. Seeing the three, Zhang Wei immediately asked, "Who are you?"
Ho Fanny hurriedly said, "Who are you?"
Uncle Feng stepped forward and said, "He is also a policeman from Tung Ping Chau, my nephew, Zhang Wei."
"Awei, these three are the police officers for this jurisdiction: Ho Fanny, Kim Mak-kei, and Meng Chao."
After the group exchanged greetings, Ho Fanny immediately said, "Uncle Feng, our superintendent doesn't believe in ghosts and monsters, so we intend to capture the vampire to show him."
Zhong Fabai frowned and said, "That Miyake Issei is very strong; capturing him alive is impossible."
Kim Mak-kei immediately reminded them, "Isn't there still a female vampire? Wouldn't catching her work?"
Uncle Feng nodded and said, "She would be easier, but we still haven't found where Miyake Issei is."
Kim Mak-kei hurriedly said, "We have already found out; he is at the Sansheng House not far from here. That place used to be a gathering spot for the Japanese."
Uncle Feng nodded and said, "Then let's go take a look."
Seeing there was no way to avoid it, Meng Chao had to say, "Wait, we need to prepare first."
Zhong Fabai also said, "Correct, we must be well-prepared."
The group immediately went to prepare. Meng Chao bought Taoist magic items like a Eight Trigrams mirror, and also bought things to deal with vampires like garlic, wooden stakes, and hammers.
Meng Chao didn't care if they were useful or not; he bought them all.
Soon, the party of six arrived at the Sansheng House. This building had been abandoned for a long time; the "Sansheng House" plaque at the entrance was already teetering, and the rooms inside were all boarded up, looking as if something had already happened there.
The group entered the building and looked around at the rooms, not knowing which one Miyake Issei was in.
Zhang Wei suggested, "Let's split up and look."
Zhong Fabai immediately went upstairs to check.
Zhang Wei arrived on the second floor; he kicked open a sealed door and entered to investigate.
After searching a few more rooms, he still found nothing.
However, Kim Mak-kei shouted from over there, "There are two Western-style coffins here!"
Zhang Wei hurriedly ran over, while Meng Chao was blocking the only opening, stalling and refusing to go in.
Zhang Wei ignored him, kicked the door open, and walked in.
Uncle Feng and Zhong Fabai arrived shortly after.
Kim Mak-kei happened to open one of the coffins, and inside was indeed the female vampire.
Zhang Wei looked at the other one and frowned, "It seems Miyake Issei is in this one."
Hearing this, Kim Mak-kei opened the other one, and Miyake Issei was indeed sleeping inside.
Ho Fanny asked, "What do we do now?"
Meng Chao, lying at the opening, laughed and said, "We definitely have to kill him."
No sooner had he finished speaking than the sun outside began to be obscured; they had not expected a total solar eclipse.
Uncle Feng was the first to sense something was wrong, and he said, "It seems the Yin energy is increasing?"
Zhong Fabai asked in confusion, "That's impossible; it's daytime."
Zhang Wei looked back at Meng Chao and saw that there was no more sunlight at the doorway. He hurriedly ran out to look and said in surprise, "Oh no, it's a total solar eclipse!"
Uncle Feng was greatly alarmed and shouted, "Leave quickly!"
Ho Fanny and Kim Mak-kei immediately screamed and ran away.
Miyake Issei and the female vampire, who had been sleeping, both woke up.
Miyake Issei looked coldly at Uncle Feng and Zhang Wei's group, a trace of disdain on his face.
He floated in mid-air, grabbed his cape, and waved it. A violent gust of wind rose up in the room, blowing Kim Mak-kei, Meng Chao, and the others so hard they couldn't stand steady.
Uncle Feng and Zhong Fabai hurriedly braced their stances, while Zhang Wei grabbed a nearby pillar to steady himself.
Immediately after, Miyake Issei glared, and flames instantly appeared on the ground, igniting all the surrounding wooden structures and starting a large fire.
Uncle Feng and the others hurriedly retreated, and Zhang Wei kicked the window to pieces, throwing Ho Fanny and Kim Mak-kei out into the hallway.
Seeing the group being suppressed, Uncle Feng hurriedly took out the Xie-Zhi Divine Light Mirror and shone it at Miyake Issei.
Miyake Issei hurriedly waved his cape, using a wooden board to block the golden light, and then flew over rapidly, reaching out to grab Uncle Feng.
Zhong Fabai let out a loud shout and jumped up to kick Miyake Issei, but he was swatted away by Miyake Issei, crashing into a pillar and nearly falling to the first floor.
Fortunately, Zhong Fabai endured the pain and grabbed the railing, so he did not fall down.
Zhang Wei shouted, "Quick, grab Uncle Zhong."
Having said that, he took out the Eight Trigrams Mirror and shone it at Miyake Issei.
This move instead made Miyake Issei retreat a little.
Miyake Issei immediately glared at Zhang Wei, and the Eight Trigrams Mirror instantly erupted with a golden light, shielding Zhang Wei.
"Boom!"
An explosion occurred directly around Zhang Wei; he was knocked to the ground by the shock, and Miyake Issei was also repelled.
Uncle Feng immediately took the Xie-Zhi Divine Light Mirror to shine it on Miyake Issei again; Miyake Issei let out an angry roar and retreated back into the room.
The next second, the total solar eclipse vanished, and the sun's rays gradually appeared.
Zhang Wei coughed and said, "The sun is out; this little Japanese devil is done for."
"Boom!"
A noise came from inside the room; Uncle Feng hurried in to check, then came out and said, "He sensed something was wrong and ran away directly."
Zhong Fabai was pulled up by Jin Maiji, and he said with some disappointment, "I didn't expect him to be so powerful."
Zhang Wei also clutched his chest and said, "Uncle, let's go find Grand-Uncle-Master."
Uncle Feng had no choice but to say, "Alright, A-Wei, you come with me to see Grand-Uncle-Master."
Zhong Fabai said, "Then I will wait for your news."
Uncle Feng shot him a sideways glance and said, "You are coming too."
Jin Maiji and the others returned to the branch station, while Zhang Wei followed Uncle Feng and Zhong Fabai to the Pagoda Building on Ridge Mountain, Lamma Island.
Seeing this building, Zhang Wei asked in surprise, "How was this building constructed?"
Zhong Fabai said with a hint of pride, "It's been here for several decades. Let's go, let's go in."
Zhang Wei followed Uncle Feng and Zhong Fabai into the building; he touched his arm unconsciously and said, "Wow, it's a bit cold in here. These people look so well-behaved?"
Zhong Fabai immediately said, "That's enough, don't meddle in the affairs here, and don't tell anyone else."
No sooner had he finished speaking than Zhong Fabai's expression became tense.
Zhang Wei immediately looked ahead and saw a Daoist priest standing there wearing a patchwork Daoist robe, holding a horsetail whisk, with crane-like hair and a youthful face.
Uncle Feng and Zhong Fabai hurriedly stepped forward to salute, saying, "Disciple pays respects to Grand-Uncle-Master!"
Zhang Wei looked at Zhang Cheng above and felt he was very familiar; he hurriedly stepped forward to salute, saying, "Disciple Zhang Wei pays respects to Grand-Uncle-Master."
Zhang Cheng said calmly, "I already know about the matter. Take my sword; dealing with him will be as easy as turning over one's hand."
Uncle Feng hurriedly saluted and said, "Many thanks, Grand-Uncle-Master."
Zhong Fabai immediately asked, "Grand-Uncle-Master, as long as you take action, all the demons and ghosts in Xiang Island can be wiped out, why..."
Zhang Cheng pulled a long face and said, "All things have their own destined course. That you are still alive is already me breaking the rules. Go quickly!"
Zhang Cheng flicked his horsetail whisk casually and turned to disappear, and the three of them appeared at the foot of the mountain.
Zhang Wei widened his eyes and said, "This is too amazing!"
Zhong Fabai curled his lips and said, "You haven't even seen the more amazing things yet."
Uncle Feng looked at the Xuanyi Seven-Star Copper Sword before him; he held it up with both hands and saluted toward the sky, saying, "Grand-Uncle-Master, once we are done using it, we will return it."
Then the three of them returned to Xiang Island.
As soon as Jin Maiji and the others saw Uncle Feng and the other two, they hurriedly crowded around and asked, "Uncle, how did it go?"
Uncle Feng nodded and said, "Grand-Uncle-Master has already lent us a magical artifact; you can rest assured."
Meng Chao said with a bitter face, "Ah? Just a magical artifact? I don't know if it will be useful."
Zhong Fabai said huffily, "You don't know how powerful my Grand-Uncle-Master is; this magical artifact is more than enough to deal with Miyake Issei."
He Fenni said, "Uncle Zhong said that Miyake Issei might come looking for us tonight."
Uncle Feng nodded and said, "Correct, then we will stay together tonight."
Meng Chao immediately said, "I'll stay in the same room as Inspector He!"
He Fenni rolled her eyes at Meng Chao and hurriedly said, "Then I'd rather be in the same room as Zhang Sir."
He Fenni looked beautiful and elegant, and her figure was also quite good; Zhang Wei smiled and said, "Don't worry, I will protect you!"
Meng Chao looked at Zhang Wei with some grievance.
At night, all six of them stayed at He Fenni's home; He Fenni's family background was very good, and they lived in a villa.
Uncle Feng and Zhong Fabai sat in the first-floor living room drinking tea and recuperating.
Meanwhile, Zhang Wei sat there holding the Xuanyi Seven-Star Copper Sword with both hands to observe it.
He Fenni had just finished showering and came out; she sat on the sofa to the side, looked at the Seven-Star Sword in Zhang Wei's hand, and asked, "Is this magical artifact very powerful?"
Meng Chao and Jin Maiji, who were just looking to get close to He Fenni, hurriedly walked over and asked, "It looks just like an antique, right?"
Zhong Fabai put down his teacup and said, "It wouldn't be wrong to call it an antique; this is a magical artifact passed down through generations by my Grand-Uncle-Master, and it has slain many demons and ghosts."
"Several decades ago, Grand-Uncle-Master used this magical sword to slay many Japanese invaders in Hongkou, Shanghai."
Jin Maiji asked in surprise, "I didn't expect you Daoists to also resist the Japanese?"
Zhong Fabai snorted coldly and said, "What kind of talk is that? Our Maoshan Sect fought against the Japanese invaders' sorcerers for several years. My uncle, as well as Uncle Feng's parents, all died at the hands of the Japanese invaders."
He Fenni hurriedly said, "I didn't expect you all to be descendants of martyrs as well."
Uncle Feng said, "You can rest assured; Miyake Issei won't be able to stir up any trouble."
He Fenni patted her chest and said with relief, "Then I can rest easy."
Zhang Wei looked at Uncle Feng and asked, "Uncle Feng, how should this Seven-Star Sword be used?"
Uncle Feng took the Seven-Star Copper Sword from Zhang Wei's hands, silently recited an incantation, and shouted, "By the order of the law, be swift!"
The Seven-Star Copper Sword was seen to shake slightly, and then it glowed with a golden light.
Jin Maiji and Meng Chao watched with extreme envy.
"Whoosh!"
A strong wind blew outside, and the leaves rustled loudly.
The vibration of the Seven-Star Bronze Sword also became more intense.
He Fenny asked in surprise, "What is happening?"
Uncle Feng looked outside the floor-to-ceiling window and said, "He has come."
The next second, the figure of Miyake Issei appeared in the villa's courtyard.
He Fenny let out a scream and threw herself directly into Zhang Wei's arms.
Zhang Wei only felt a warmth like jade and a fragrant scent, which was very comfortable.
He hurriedly held He Fenny and said, "Don't worry, I will protect you."
He Fenny hugged Zhang Wei tightly, buried her head in Zhang Wei's chest, and said coquettishly, "Mm-hmm."
Meng Chao watched with endless jealousy, muttering, "You could come into my arms instead."
Jin Maiji mocked him, "How can you compare to Sir Zhang?"
He immediately said to Zhang Wei, "Sir Zhang, protect me too."
Zhang Wei hurriedly said, "Rest assured, with me and the two uncles here, you will be fine."
Just as the four were talking nonsense, Uncle Feng had already rushed out with the Seven-Star Bronze Sword, and Zhong Fabai handed the Xiezhi Divine Light Mirror to Zhang Wei, saying, "You take this, I'm going to help Brother Feng."
Zhang Wei immediately took out his own Eight Trigrams Mirror and tossed it to Zhong Fabai, saying, "Uncle Zhong, take this."
Zhong Fabai took the Eight Trigrams Mirror, looked at it, and asked in surprise, "Isn't this Uncle-Master's Eight Trigrams Mirror?"
Zhang Wei shook his head and said, "I don't know, Uncle gave it to me."
Outside, Uncle Feng had already started fighting with Miyake Issei; although Uncle Feng had a powerful magical treasure, Miyake Issei sensed the power of the treasure and did not dare to clash head-on with Uncle Feng.
Uncle Feng shouted, "Come and help me quickly!"
Zhong Fabai didn't have time to ask questions; he immediately rushed out, holding the Eight Trigrams Mirror to shine it on Miyake Issei.
Miyake Issei dodged immediately, flying straight up to the second floor, crashing through the window, and entering the room.
Uncle Feng secretly cursed, "Not good," and Zhang Wei hurriedly shouted, "Come over here quickly."
He comforted He Fenny again, "Fenny, let go quickly; if you hold onto me, I can't make a move."
He Fenny shyly let go and hurriedly hid to the side.
Jin Maiji and Meng Chao also ignored everything else and hid by the floor-to-ceiling window.
Zhang Wei held the Xiezhi Divine Light Mirror and looked toward the second-floor staircase; Uncle Feng held the sword, and Zhong Fabai ran in holding the Eight Trigrams Mirror.
