Chapter 256

~5 min read 820 words

The headquarters of the Lianying Society.

"Call everyone back immediately!"

After ending his call with Hong Renjiu, Tiger Lei ordered his men.

With reinforcements from other societies on the way, he only needed to hold the headquarters, regardless of whether Seeing Ni Yongyao would actually attack.

"Everyone? Boss, if we pull everyone back, there won't be anyone left to guard the businesses."

The subordinate hesitated, offering a reminder.

"Seeing Ni Yongyao's men are practically at our doorstep, and you're worried about the businesses? Get everyone back here now!"

Tiger Lei shouted, slamming his hand on the desk.

"Yes, I understand."

The subordinate replied hurriedly.

"Get moving, damn it!"

Tiger Lei urged.

The subordinate dared not say another word; he left the office and began calling the various small gang leaders of the Lianying Society, ordering them to abandon their posts and rush to the headquarters.

They moved quickly, and within ten minutes, two hundred men had arrived at the headquarters, surrounding Tiger Lei for protection.

Tiger Lei looked at his men, and the anxiety in his heart finally subsided; he felt much better.

He lit a cigarette and took a drag. All he had to do now was wait for more men to return and for the reinforcements from the other societies to arrive, and he would be completely safe.

Meanwhile.

Several commercial vans pulled up outside the Lianying Society headquarters.

*Screech. *

The vans stopped by the roadside, the doors opened, and a group of killers in black suits stepped out, led by the seven Tianyang brothers.

"Big Brother, this is the Lianying Society headquarters."

Tianyang Yi said.

Tianyang Sheng glanced at the dozen or so low-level thugs at the entrance and the constant flow of people in and out of the building. "It seems Tiger Lei is quite vigilant; he reacted very quickly."

However, Tianyang Sheng was not surprised by this in the slightest; he had long been prepared to launch a frontal assault on the Lianying Society headquarters, which was exactly why he had requested fifty killers.

"Everyone, follow me!"

Tianyang Sheng drew his machete and took the lead, charging toward the main entrance of the headquarters.

"Who goes there!"

The thugs at the entrance, who had been chatting idly, saw Tianyang Sheng and his men charging at them and were so terrified they couldn't even draw their blades.

Tianyang Sheng didn't bother to answer; he cut one man down with a single stroke.

Of the dozen or so thugs at the entrance, Tianyang Sheng alone cut down nearly half.

After finishing them off, Tianyang Sheng left Tianyang Zhi behind with a few killers to guard the entrance, then led the rest into the headquarters.

Those inside the headquarters had heard the screams outside and were already prepared for battle.

As soon as Tianyang Sheng entered, he was met by a swarm of thugs wielding gleaming watermelon knives.

Yet, to Tianyang Sheng, this scene was hardly intense; it was far inferior to what he had experienced growing up in Vietnam.

Although Tianyang Sheng's group was at a numerical disadvantage, with him acting as the spearhead, not a single thug could withstand a single blow from him.

Coupled with the support of his brothers and the fearless one-star killers,

the moment the two sides clashed, the situation tilted entirely in Tianyang Sheng's favor.

Despite the Lianying Society having the home-field advantage and superior numbers, they were instead sent into a chaotic rout by Tianyang Sheng's men and forced into a constant retreat.

After dozens of them were cut down by Tianyang Sheng and his men, their morale collapsed completely, and they lost all will to fight, retreating in a disorganized mob.

Behind them lay Tiger Lei's office.

*Bang! Bang! Bang! *

Thug after thug pounded frantically on the office door, desperate to hide inside.

But Tiger Lei, having heard the screams and realized an attack was underway, had locked the door from the inside and refused to open it, no matter how much his men begged or pounded.

Inside the office.

Tiger Lei sat in his boss chair, his eyes fixed on the door. He could clearly hear the screams of his subordinates dying outside, as well as the frantic pounding and pleading.

"Boss, what do we do now?"

Beside Tiger Lei, two of his trusted henchmen gripped their pistols tightly.

Both men looked grave, their knuckles white from gripping their weapons, clearly terrified by what was happening outside.

Although they couldn't see exactly what was happening, the continuous, unending screams told them that the outside had surely become a living hell.

Under these circumstances, even with guns in their hands, they dared not rush out.

"Guard the door! If anyone tries to get in, shoot them! We just need to hold out for a while; Brother Jue's men are already on their way and will be here soon!"

Tiger Lei took a deep breath, steadied his emotions, and said.
