Chapter 52

~6 min read 1,043 words

This was Michael Corleone's private number; the number of people who possessed this number could be counted on one hand, and each one was a guest of honor of the Corleone family.

Beep, beep, beep.

The call was connected quickly.

"Ni, I have been waiting for your call for a long time; you finally called.

How is it, are you used to living in Hong Kong?"

A slightly hoarse man's voice came from the speaker.

Just by the voice, one could imagine that the person on the other end of the phone must be a mature and steady man.

"Everything is good, it's just that the neighbors around here are not very polite."

Ni Yongyao laughed.

The two were friends despite the age gap; Michael Corleone did not act arrogant because of his status, but talked to Ni Yongyao like a peer.

After some pleasantries, Michael Corleone said, "I guess you must have encountered trouble; otherwise, with your personality, you definitely wouldn't have made this call to me."

"There is indeed a bit of trouble; I need a batch of weapons and equipment. Do you have any channels?"

Ni Yongyao said directly.

"Weapons and equipment? Pistols? Or submachine guns?"

Michael Corleone asked.

The Corleone family dominates New York, and although they have completed the family transformation and washed their hands of the past.

They still maintain the necessary force.

Michael Corleone thought Ni Yongyao needed light weapons and planned to transport a batch directly from the family warehouse to Ni Yongyao.

"No, what I need is a full set of squad firepower, as well as supporting vehicles and communication equipment."

Ni Yongyao said lightly.

These words made Michael Corleone silent for a full half minute.

"Ni, are you planning to attack the Viceroy's Mansion? Your requirements can only be met by professional arms dealers."

Michael Corleone said.

"That is why I made this call to you."

Ni Yongyao said.

Ni Yongyao believed that with Michael Corleone's connections, it would be enough to help him contact a professional arms dealer.

"Alright, I will help you resolve this matter."

Michael Corleone thought for a moment and said.

"Consider me owing you a favor."

Ni Yongyao said.

"Ni, we are friends; you helped me so much back then, and now I am just solving a small trouble for you, it doesn't count as a favor."

Michael Corleone said with a hint of displeasure in his tone.

"Then thank you very much."

Ni Yongyao did not say anything more.

He ended the call immediately.

Five minutes later.

"Beep beep beep!"

Ni Yongyao's mobile phone rang; it was a strange foreign number calling.

"I am Ni Yongyao, who is this?"

Ni Yongyao answered the phone and asked.

"Mr. Ni, my name is Yuri (from the movie 'Lord of War'); Lord Corleone just contacted me and said you need a batch of arms?"

A middle-aged man's voice rang out.

"That's right, can you provide squad firepower and equipment?"

Hearing the strange name Yuri, Ni Yongyao didn't remember who it was for a moment, and didn't take it to heart.

"Of course, I am a professional.

I can get whatever you want, but transporting it to Hong Kong carries high risk, so the price will be a bit more expensive."

Yuri said.

"Price is not an issue.

Besides, this is only the first batch; if this transaction goes smoothly, there will be a second and third batch later."

Ni Yongyao said.

Once Yuri heard it was a big deal, he immediately became interested and said hurriedly, "It's not convenient on the phone; I will fly to Hong Kong immediately to meet with Mr. Ni in person."

"That's fine, I will send someone to the airport to pick you up."

After Ni Yongyao finished speaking, he hung up the phone.

Yuri's enthusiasm was unexpected to Ni Yongyao.

But since the person was introduced by Michael Corleone, it must be reliable.

The issue of arms was temporarily shelved, and Ni Yongyao threw the mobile phone to Chiaki Kuriyama and walked toward the Kun Kee food stall.

It was past ten o'clock in the evening, the perfect time for a late-night snack.

Kun Kee food stall.

"Mr. Ni, what would you like to eat?"

The owner of the food stall saw Ni Yongyao coming and immediately ran over to ask.

"The usual."

Ni Yongyao found a seat and sat down.

Soon, a few items were served.

"Mr. Ni, eat slowly."

The owner said.

Ni Yongyao nodded and was about to use his chopsticks.

Just at this moment, a woman came to the food stall, staring straight at the food in front of Ni Yongyao, and swallowed a mouthful of saliva.

Then she looked at the food stall owner and asked in a low voice, "Boss, can I... buy a bowl of noodles on credit? I am penniless right now, and I will definitely pay you back once I earn some money."

"Miss, you smuggled over from the mainland, didn't you?"

Ni Yongyao suddenly spoke up.

"Ah?"

The woman was startled and said stammeringly, "I, I don't know what you are talking about."

Ni Yongyao smiled, did not continue to press, but instead greeted the owner, "Give her a bowl of noodles."

"Alright, Mr. Ni."

The owner immediately got busy.

Seeing this, the woman gave up the idea of running away and found a seat to sit down cautiously.

"What is your name?" Ni Yongyao asked.

"Kong, Kong Sang (from the movie 'Legacy of Rage')."

The woman replied timidly.

Hearing this name, Ni Yongyao confirmed that he had not recognized the wrong person.

The woman in front of him was indeed the goddess of two generations.

Kong Sang was very young, looking less than twenty years old, wearing braids and a floral shirt, which was completely different from the trendy Hong Kong women.

However, although her clothes were rustic, her face was extremely delicate, especially those long legs, which were even more alluring.

"What are you doing in Hong Kong?"

Ni Yongyao asked.

"Looking for relatives, I came to find my aunt."

Kong Sang replied obediently.

"You are an illegal immigrant in Hong Kong; if you encounter the police, they will definitely deport you back to the mainland."

"Ah? Then what should I do?"
