Chapter 160: 156 The Hitman Li Changjiang, Dog Brother is a Lucky General!

"Dog Brother, why are you calling so early?"

Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu was preparing to head home when he received a call from Dog Brother.

"Haha, good evening, Zu-ge."

"Zu-ge, it's like this. Last night I heard about a pretty capable guy, from the Big Circle, can fight, and even served in the army... I originally wanted to introduce him to you, Zu-ge, but someone else got to him first."

Dog Brother made this call to strengthen their connection.

He wanted to tell the generous Zu-ge: I'm always doing things for you~~

Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu listened and said, "Thanks, Dog Brother. Keep an eye on this Li Changjiang for me; he's very important."

Dog Brother was stunned.

"Wait!"

"Who did you just say? What name?"

Dog Brother: "Li Changjiang."

Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu immediately thought of the plot of *Long Arm of the Law III*.

This Li Changjiang, capable and skilled, a decent man with a moral bottom line, brought his girlfriend along, and came from a background of hardship... What kind of character is this?

He's a natural-born workhorse!

Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu's desire to recruit talent flared up instantly.

"Dog Brother, thanks. Go help me dig up some information on this Li Changjiang; it's very important to me."

"Huh?"

Dog Brother was stunned for a moment, then quickly said, "Alright, alright, I'll go help you dig up the info right away."

It was hard to come by a big business opportunity; he didn't want to miss it.

Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu: "Thanks."

On Dog Brother's side, after hanging up with Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu, he called Liang-ge.

After thinking about it, he hung up again.

For this kind of matter, it was better to talk face-to-face.

"You guys, come with me!"

Dog Brother took his men, drove off, and spent an hour traveling from Mong Kok to the Northern New Territories to find Liang-ge.

"Dog Brother!" Liang-ge was surprised. "What are you doing here?"

He was secretly delighted.

A big deal was coming to his door.

"I've got something to find you for. Let's go, to the bar."

"Alright."

Liang-ge took Dog Brother to a bar.

The lighting was orange-red, giving the whole bar a strange atmosphere.

Dog Brother cursed, "What kind of ghost lighting is this in your bar? It looks terrifying."

Liang-ge: "............" You're complaining again!

His men surrounded them, keeping strangers away.

They ordered a few bottles of liquor and started drinking.

Liang-ge finally asked, "What is it that Dog Brother came over for?"

Dog Brother said, "You know I've been lacking a capable hitman who can fight and kill lately, but I haven't been able to find one... That Li Changjiang looks pretty good. Why don't you give him to me?"

Dog Brother certainly wouldn't mention Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu directly; no one knew about his relationship with Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu yet.

Liang-ge shook his head repeatedly: "No, someone else already asked for him."

Dog Brother chuckled: "Everything is just a matter of price. How much did the other guy give you?"

Liang-ge held up one finger: "100,000."

Dog Brother looked at it.

He felt disdain.

Only 100,000?

I could easily get 1 million from Zu-ge!

Dog Brother slapped the table: "150,000, let him come with me!"

150,000?

Liang-ge's hand trembled, and he let out a silent wail inside.

"Damn, I asked for too little!"

In reality, Liang-ge had only asked the other party for 50,000 HKD.

"No, I've already sold him to that person; I can't go back on my word. Everyone knows that I, Liang-ge, walk the underworld based on 'trust'!"

Liang-ge held his head high, loyalty and righteousness radiating from him.

"Pfft!"

Dog Brother laughed disdainfully: "We're all our own people, stop putting on an act! Who doesn't know that the 'Liang' in your name isn't the 'Liang' for conscience, but the 'Liang' for unscrupulousness."

Liang-ge's face darkened!

This Dog Brother, his words were too harsh!

Dog Brother said: "200,000! Take it or leave it!"

200,000?

Liang-ge's face brightened; he felt this guy's words were very pleasant.

"Alright, 200,000, no going back on your word!"

Dog Brother patted his chest: "Don't worry, what kind of person do you think I, Dog Brother, am? Would I short you 200,000? I'll bring you the money later!"

Liang-ge felt that made sense.

Dog Brother quickly asked, "Tell me, what's the background of the other party?"

Liang-ge sold him out without hesitation: "I don't know who they are. They just called me, and not long after, someone came to give me the money and took Li Changjiang away. Li Changjiang isn't in my hands anymore."

Dog Brother was angry: "If the person isn't in your hands, what's the point of talking!"

Liang-ge: "Don't be impatient... Li Changjiang has a girlfriend named Chang Man, who is at Old Man Car's place. If you get that Chang Man out, Li Changjiang will definitely follow you."

Dog Brother was suspicious: "Are you sure?"

Liang-ge nodded: "Absolutely sure. This Li Changjiang knows how to repay kindness; he won't forget Chang Man."

Dog Brother listened and nodded: "Alright! I want to see who this person is... Give me the phone number they called you from."

Liang-ge: "What's the use of giving you the number? Can you trace the call?"

Dog Brother held his head high: "Nonsense, I have people in the police station!"

He thought to himself: I don't have that kind of power, but Zu-ge does.

This bluff really shocked Liang-ge.

"Dog Brother is impressive!"

Then he gave the number to Dog Brother.

He reminded him: "Dog Brother, you better go to Old Man Car's place quickly, otherwise if the other person gets there first, you'll be in trouble."

Dog Brother couldn't sit still: "Alright!"

He got up and left.

"Wait, Dog Brother, what about the money?"

"Don't you trust me? My reputation as Dog Brother is worth more than just 200,000! I'll bring you the money later!"

Liang-ge felt that was reasonable.

Soon, Dog Brother took his men and guns to find Old Man Car.

Old Man Car's brothel was in a building called Flower Capital Apartment in the Northern New Territories border district.

Dog Brother took a few men and drove there.

Downstairs,

The guard asked: "Who are you guys?"

Dog Brother was impatient: "I'm Dog Brother from Mong Kok. We're here to see Old Man Car. Call him and tell him I'm looking for him."

The guard sneered.

You say you want to see Boss Car and you get to see him? Who do you think Boss Car is?!

Pfft~~~

A gun was slapped down in front of him.

The guard immediately put on a smiling face: "I'll call right away!"

He quickly called Old Man Car.

"Boss Car, there's a guy from Mong Kok called Dog Brother who says he wants to see you..."

"Put him on the phone."

The phone was handed to Dog Brother.

"Hahaha~~~ Boss Car! It's Ah Gou from Mong Kok!"

"Dog Brother, long time no see!"

Dog Brother had a reputation; he was a Big Circle member with guns. Old Man Car generally didn't want to provoke this killer.

Old Man Car was enthusiastic: "Dog Brother, what can I do for you? Do you need help? Or do you want a few pretty girls?"

Dog Brother smiled: "You know I'm Big Circle. My father told me my cousin came to Hong Kong, so I'm here to look after her."

Old Man Car felt a bad omen.

"May I ask who Dog Brother's cousin is...?"

"Chang Man. She was brought here two days ago. I'm here to take her away now!"

Old Man Car was truly stunned.

What kind of background does this Chang Man have? How come two groups of people have come here looking for her in a row?

Oh no, have I brought trouble upon myself?

"You can take her, but according to underworld rules, 200,000!"

"200,000?"

Dog Brother was angry!

"Are your teeth diamond-encrusted? Why are you asking for so much?"

Old Man Car: "That's the underworld rule. You don't have to pay."

Dog Brother wanted to curse, but then he thought about it and sneered. This Old Man Car had offended Li Changjiang; as long as Li Changjiang followed Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu and made it big, this Old Man Car would be a dead man.

Why should he bother with a dead man?

"Fine, 200,000 it is. Give me the person."

"Did you bring the money?"

"I'll give it to you tomorrow. Don't worry, I, Dog Brother, won't owe you money."

"Alright!"

Old Man Car wasn't afraid of Dog Brother owing money; in the underworld, a good reputation was worth a lot.

Soon,

Chang Man came downstairs. Dog Brother walked over and smiled: "Cousin, I'm your cousin. Just call me Dog Brother."

Dog Brother was very smart. Thinking of Xiao Fu's treatment, he had become Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu's right-hand man and was destined for success.

And if Li Changjiang could also gain Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu's favor, he would inevitably become an important confidant. Chang Man's status would definitely be high.

Since that was the case, Dog Brother would offer Chang Man some timely help; the favor would be very valuable in the future.

Chang Man didn't know who this person was and was a little scared.

"Don't be afraid of me. Don't look at how fierce I am, I'm a good person... Come on, let's talk outside!"

Dog Brother took Chang Man outside the Flower Capital Apartment.

"Let me introduce myself properly. I'm Ah Gou. Just call me Dog Brother... This time, I'm here to save you on behalf of Li Changjiang."

"Ajiang?!"

When Chang Man heard this, she was overjoyed.

"Where is he? Is he okay?"

Dog Brother said: "He's... doing okay. I'll bring him to see you soon... Come with me first, let's find a place for you to stay."

Chang Man nodded: "Thank you, Dog Brother."

Since he was Ajiang's friend, her trust increased instantly. She had been terrified and heartbroken for the past few days, never expecting that after coming to Hong Kong, she would end up in this situation.

Luckily, Ajiang had sent a friend to save her.

Soon, Chang Man got into Dog Brother's car.

Because there were too many people, one subordinate couldn't fit.

Dog Brother: "Take a taxi yourself!"

Subordinate: "............"

*Crying~~~*

Not long after Dog Brother left,

Volcano sent people to the Flower Capital Apartment. "Hey, call Old Man Car over here!"

"Who the hell are you!"

The guard looked at the group, feeling annoyed. He thought, *A group of people came to see Boss Car just now, why is another group here now? What's going on today? *

"None of your business who I am, call Old Man Car over here!" Volcano's subordinate said arrogantly.

The guard was annoyed.

*If you pointed a gun at me, I'd be afraid, or if you gave me a name, I'd give you some face. But you won't give a name, and you won't show a gun, who the hell cares about you? *

"If you won't give a name, you want to see Boss Car? Get lost!"

Volcano's men were turned away.

They quickly called Volcano, and Volcano had a headache.

He didn't want to leave any clues for anyone; even Li Changjiang was contacted by phone, and the connection was made through a stranger in the drug trade.

Volcano thought: "Tell them I'm Nineteenth Brother from Hong Le!"

Soon,

Old Man Car got on the phone with Volcano's subordinate: "Hahaha~~~ So Nineteenth Brother from Hong Le is looking for me... I don't know what Nineteenth Brother wants with me?"

The New Territories was a mountain backwater; the gangsters here were of lower quality than those in prosperous areas like Wan Chai.

So Old Man Car was still quite polite to Hong Le.

Volcano's subordinate said: "Boss Car, our Nineteenth Brother wants to take someone away. I heard this person is with you."

Old Man Car was surprised. *How come it's another group of people coming to take someone away? *

"Who is it?"

"Someone named Chang Man."

"Huh??"

Old Man Car was truly stunned.

What kind of background does this Chang Man have? How come two groups of people have come here looking for her in a row?

Oh no, have I brought trouble upon myself?

"Why are you looking for Chang Man?"

"That's none of your business, just hand her over."

"Sorry, Chang Man was taken away 20 minutes ago."

"Huh? By whom?"

"Chang Man's cousin, a Big Circle member."

"Can you tell me specifically who it is?"

"Sorry, I, Old Man Car, also value my reputation; I won't leak client information."

Old Man Car didn't dare to leak anyone's information easily; he could only say it was a Big Circle member.

After receiving this news, Volcano's subordinate didn't dare to delay and quickly called Volcano.

"That woman was taken away? By a cousin?"

"Do you know who it is?"

"Old Man Car won't say."

Volcano's bar.

"She was taken away?"

Volcano felt this was getting tricky; with the person not in his hands, how could he threaten Li Changjiang to do things for him?

"Forget it, I'll just lie to him!"

Volcano thought of an idea.

Anyway, as long as he didn't act personally and instead commanded from afar, then regardless of whether Li Changjiang succeeded or not, Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu wouldn't be able to suspect him.

Just do it first!

Even if they investigated, at most they could only trace it back to Nineteenth Brother from Old Man Car's side. What did it have to do with him, Volcano?!

On Li Changjiang's side, he was quickly brought to Wan Chai and settled in, not in Volcano's territory, but in Lockhart Road, where Nineteenth Brother was.

If Nineteenth Brother knew, he would probably give Volcano a 100-hit combo.

Li Changjiang was temporarily settled in a hotel.

"I want to make a call to Chang Man!"

"No, you can only make the call on the day of the operation... But don't worry, the boss just called me, your girlfriend has already been saved and is in the boss's hands. As long as you finish the job for him, your woman will be returned to you." The subordinate lied.

He actually had no idea how things were progressing on Volcano's side.

Li Changjiang didn't know whether to believe this person, but now he had no strength to resist.

Volcano's subordinate said: "Tomorrow I'll take you to see the target so you can recognize him, to avoid killing the wrong person."

Li Changjiang nodded: "Alright."

Subordinate: "Also, you have to be careful. The target is very famous locally, so you must not give yourself away."

Li Changjiang frowned: "Very famous?"

Volcano's subordinate explained: "Don't look at how famous he is; actually, all the charity work is fake. Look at those ancient landlords and gentry; which one of them didn't build bridges and pave roads? They did bad things and then did charity to make up for it."

Li Changjiang thought about it and agreed.

That night,

Li Changjiang tossed and turned in the hotel, unable to sleep.

He thought of his father back home, wondering how he was doing; he must be very worried about him. He should find time to call home. Then he thought of Chang Man, wondering if she had really been saved.

Then he thought about his own fate...

Dazed, he fell asleep.

The next day,

"Hey, wake up!"

Li Changjiang was dazed as he opened his eyes. It was already bright outside, and the sun was shining in.

Volcano's subordinate urged: "It's eight o'clock, get up quickly. We're going to see the target later."

Li Changjiang did a carp leap, got out of bed, put on his clothes, washed up, and followed Volcano's subordinate downstairs.

"The target you're going to assassinate is named Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu."

"We have to go to Causeway Bay to see him... You have to be careful. His reputation in Causeway Bay is very high, so you must not reveal any flaws."

Li Changjiang nodded: "Alright."

On the other side,

A car was driving toward Causeway Bay.

In the car, Dog Brother instructed Chang Man:

"Later, I'm going to take you to see a gentleman in Causeway Bay. You can call him Zu-ge. Don't be afraid; Zu-ge is a very good person."

"Oh, oh~ alright~~~"

Chang Man didn't know why she had to see this "Zu-ge," but being a stranger in a strange land, she could only follow whoever was leading her.

The car arrived in Causeway Bay,

and drove toward Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu's boxing gym.

While passing a street, Dog Brother, who had sharp eyes, suddenly saw Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu and Xiao Fu walking on the street.

"Stop the car!"

Dog Brother quickly got out of the car and walked up to Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu: "Zu-ge! And Xiao Fu..."

Xiao Fu cupped his hands: "Dog Brother."

Xiao Fu still felt grateful to Dog Brother; back then, he hadn't made any money for Dog Brother while following him, and had been eating Dog Brother's food for months. From that perspective, Dog Brother was still righteous toward him.

Dog Brother said to Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu: "Zu-ge, I've brought the Chang Man you asked me to find."

He said to his subordinate in the car: "Bring her over."

Then he told Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu about what happened last night.

Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu nodded. Old Man Car, Liang-ge, everything matched up; the only thing that didn't match was this mysterious person.

At this moment, Chang Man walked over, feeling anxious and uneasy, led by Dog Brother's subordinate.

"Quick, call him Zu-ge."

"Zu-ge!"

Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu looked at Chang Man. That's right, it was this woman.

Chang Man also gathered her courage and took a look at Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu. She instantly felt a dazzling sensation, making her feel ashamed of herself.

At this moment, Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu had already received a system notification.

"You saved Chang Man..."

"Reward 1: You gained +1% support from female workers (5%)..."

"Reward 2: Good deeds should not go unrewarded. You received a double cash rebate: 800,000 HKD..."

Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu looked at Dog Brother: "How much did you spend?"

Dog Brother said: "Not much. I spent 200,000 at Liang-ge's place and 200,000 at Old Man Car's place, totaling 400,000."

Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu nodded, took out his checkbook, and quickly wrote down "600,000," handing it over.

800,000 minus 600,000, he made a net profit of 200,000!

"The old rule: I can't let you work for nothing. You spent 400,000, so I'm giving you 600,000. The extra 200,000 is your hard-earned money."

Dog Brother was almost moved to tears.

Zu-ge, you're generous!

He made 200,000 directly, and it was all clean money.

Godfather!

After chatting with Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu for a few words, Dog Brother gave him the phone number and left.

Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu looked at Chang Man and offered a few words of comfort, but she still looked terrified.

Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu didn't waste any more time and said to Xiao Fu: "Call He Ximei over, arrange a place for her to stay, and arrange a job for her..."

He Ximei was Xie Gui's younger sister.

Xiao Fu: "Alright."

Soon, He Ximei rushed over.

"Zu-ge!"

"Hand this person over to you."

He Ximei looked at Chang Man and felt like she was seeing her former self.

"Yes, Zu-ge!"

He Ximei respectfully took Chang Man away.

Chang Man was taken away, completely confused.

Then,

Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu called Chen Guozhong: "Chen-sir, help me trace a number."

Chen Guozhong: "Alright, 10 minutes."

Not long after, Chen Guozhong called back: "The owner of the phone is someone named—Chen Huoshan (Volcano)."

Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu was surprised.

Volcano?

What does Volcano want with Li Changjiang?

Wait...

Could this Li Changjiang be a hitman Volcano hired to kill me?

Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu's eyes instantly turned sharp.

He said to Xiao Fu: "Call the property management company. From now on, be on high alert. Keep an eye on the vehicles entering and leaving, and any strange strangers..."

Xiao Fu nodded: "Alright."

Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu thought to himself, *Is this Dog Brother my lucky general? *

At this moment,

Volcano's subordinate brought Li Changjiang here.

They happened to see Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu and Xiao Fu walking.

Volcano's subordinate pointed at Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu,

"See those two people?"

"The target you're going to kill is the most handsome one."
