Chapter 307: 301 Shock! Total fundraising 323 million, 810,000 people!

Night, 22:30...

Wan Chai, Five-Star Group branch office, donation point.

A Rolls-Royce passed by the street corner, Li Er's gaze passing through the already lowered glass window, looking at the donation point.

"Damn it... what is going on here?"

Li Er was dumbfounded.

To what extent were the people coming to donate?

There were several hundred to a thousand citizens, and the entire stretch of street was blocked off; cars could only stop, not pass through.

"Absurd!!"

Think about his North Point, where he did good deeds and distributed flyers, yet still not many people came to donate.

And here at Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu's, once the flyer was sent out, the people donating blocked the road.

This gap was just too obvious.

"Let's go back..."

"Okay, Second Young Master."

Li Er sat decadently in the back seat; this time he hadn't given up, so he specifically came here to take a look.

Once he saw it,

He truly gave up!

The gap between himself and Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu was truly huge!

"With such a person, having so many citizens supporting him, wouldn't he already be in an invincible position?"

Li Er suddenly thought of this.

The more he thought, the more terrifying he felt.

At the same time, it also made him realize that doing charity work had great potential!

……

……

A new day,

Early in the morning...

The morning sun shone, and the city of Hong Kong gradually awakened in the morning light.

Outside the streets and alleys, it was already a scene of great bustle.

In the morning light, office workers were either walking or rushing to bus stops; in breakfast shops, there were steaming buns, fried dough sticks, soy milk, and those tempting Hong Kong-style tea snacks; on the road, the flow of cars gradually increased.

In front of the newspaper stands on the street, the hawking of newspaper sellers rose and fell one after another.

At major newspaper stands, copies of newspapers also reported this grand event with eye-catching headlines.

"Light of Five Stars..."

"Nationwide Response..."

Many citizens stopped one after another, bought a newspaper, and read it while walking.

And at this time,

ATV and TVB morning news almost simultaneously placed the news report on the donation points under the Five-Star Group that started yesterday afternoon.

"Last night, a charity fundraising event initiated by the Five-Star Group triggered an enthusiastic response from citizens across Hong Kong. From Wan Chai to Wong Tai Sin, from Kowloon City to Yau Tsim Mong, every corner witnessed the passing of this warmth."

"The level of liveliness can be compared to the grand fundraising scene during the last fundraising for Mingxin Hospital."

Then, one scene after another played, showing the grand scene of long lines, traffic jams, and bustling crowds in front of the donation points under the night sky and lights last night.

"In this donation, although the Five-Star Charity Foundation repeatedly emphasized that a dozen or a few dozen dollars is also a gesture, and that one should donate according to one's means, there were still some people with abundant family assets who donated between 10,000 and 40,000 HKD..."

The camera focused on the family of three: Ah Lang, Bo Bo, and Bo Zai. (From "A Moment of Romance")

"Mr. Guan has always been someone I admire, and he does a lot of good deeds. For this donation, I donated 40,000 HKD..."

"Of course, our family is also relatively wealthy, I come from a wealthy family, and my own monthly salary is?"

"It's not like Mr. Guan can donate tens of millions, and I can't even donate a mere 40,000?"

In front of the camera, Bo Bo smiled generously and said.

There was another shot,

Focused on the sisters Ling Zuer and Ling Shanshan:

"Last time, Brother Zu saved me... My family only has me and my sister Shanshan, and there's nowhere to spend money..."

"My income is tens of thousands a month, donating 20,000 isn't too much..."

"Haha~~~ I'm very willing to respond to Brother Zu's call and donate money to our compatriots. Although the staff told me many times that I didn't need to donate so much, I still donated... Brother Zu is donating his own family fortune, it makes no sense that I can't..."

Ling Zuer said with a giggle in front of the camera, her smile bright.

Another shot was given to a wealthy-looking couple in their 60s, Jojo's parents.

Facing the camera, Jojo's father smiled: "My son-in-law works at Five-Star Property and is doing well. Five-Star Group is a good company, and Mr. Guan is a very good person, so I donated 500,000 to support this fundraising."

The camera focused on a certain grandmother: "Ah Zu said to donate, so I definitely have to support it. I originally wanted to donate 1,000, but they said I'm an old person and could only donate 300..."

A certain grandfather: "I didn't go to donate to other charity companies; I specifically saved it for Ah Zu... Compatriots in the mainland who are suffering, come on~~~"

A certain office worker: "Compatriots in the mainland, come on~~"

One shot after another...

The news television camera switched to the bustling crowd of donors.

"According to information fed back by the Five-Star Group, in half a day yesterday, the total number of donors gathered from various regions exceeded 190,000, and the total amount donated exceeded 74 million HKD."

"In many interviews, neighbors mentioned Mr. Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu's good deeds, his personal charm as the leader of the Five-Star Group, and his huge influence in charity work. He not only leads by example and personally participates in various public welfare activities, making charity a trend, but also stimulates the kindness and unity in the hearts of citizens..."

……

New Territories, a certain breakfast shop, diners were watching TV while eating breakfast.

They exclaimed one after another.

"Wow..."

"This Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu is so awesome?"

"Yesterday, in one day, he raised 74 million?"

"And this is the total amount donated even with the donation amount limited?"

"I heard that every cent of this Five-Star Charity Foundation is truly used for good deeds, much stronger than other foundations. That's why its fundraising is more trusted."

"There's no donation point here in the New Territories... I'll take a trip to Yau Tsim Mong."

"I'll go too, donating 50 HKD is also a gesture."

"Let's go together..."

This news produced another unexpected effect: many people who originally didn't plan to donate began to think about donating... and those who originally donated to other charity organizations changed their minds and prepared to donate to the Five-Star Charity Foundation.

It is foreseeable that in the coming period, those other charity organizations will have an even harder time, with fewer people donating.

……

A certain charity organization,

The president, dressed in a suit and leather shoes and driving a Mercedes-Benz, looked at the TV, his face livid.

Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu actually raised 75 million in one day!

And what about his own charity organization?

It had been 7 days now, and they had raised less than 600,000!

Damn it!!

……

Another charity organization, a certain president directly threw a cup...

Cutting off someone's wealth is like killing their parents!

This Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu is truly hateful!!

……

……

However, soon,

One person's donation once again caused a sensation across Hong Kong!

The Tobacco King of Hong Kong Island, Mr. He,

Donated 100 million HKD!

Boss Li only donated 80 million, but this Mr. He directly donated 100 million HKD!

The news spread, and all of Hong Kong exploded! Soon,

Boss He made it to the key news of ATV and TVB, and the headlines of all newspapers in Hong Kong.

What is the concept of 100 million yuan? At that time, Liu Yonghao's brothers in the country had a net worth of several hundred million and were rated as the richest people in the mainland.

During the 2008 Sichuan earthquake, super-rich people like Boss Li and Boss Wang only donated 100 million, which was already the most donated by an individual at that time.

And now it was only 1991.

Who is this Boss He?

He was the boss of the Hong Kong Tobacco Company, which was the largest private tobacco enterprise in Hong Kong, acting as an agent for many well-known brands, including the famous Marlboro cigarettes. Through acting as an agent and producing his own cigarettes, Boss He almost monopolized the entire Hong Kong tobacco market, so he was known as the "Tobacco King." (Nothing to do with domestic tobacco)

There was another reason: Boss He's ancestral home was Anhui Province, which was the most severely affected by this flood.

……

……

However, Boss He's limelight was overshadowed by the Five-Star Group the next day.

At this time,

"Fight Back to School" swept the movie market with an almost invincible posture.

!.

High movie quality, novelty + the promise that all box office proceeds would be donated, two-in-one, the effect achieved wasn't 1+1=2, but 2*2=4!

The box office kept soaring in a terrifying posture; from its release until now, 10 days had passed, and the total box office had reached 23 million.

And the constant roadshows by Zhou Xingxing, Cao Dahua, and Ah Zhen also greatly stimulated fans to watch the movie; many citizens had never even been to a cinema, but ended up going for the first time because of this movie.

From this point of view, "Fight Back to School" undoubtedly broadened the market for Hong Kong movie fans.

Another thing worth noting is that Zhou Xingxing, this person, especially likes to show off!

Every time, reporters would be curious if he was the number one killer of the Flying Tigers.

Then he would perform a martial arts routine.

Then he would find many people to perform on stage, and he would take on many, really KO-ing the other party.

Thus, he gained the title of "King of Kung Fu."

This made another kung fu superstar, Long Wei, very dissatisfied with him, shouting that he wanted to teach him a lesson, but he was stopped by Cao Chali. (From "High Risk")

Besides the movie,

The most eye-catching thing in Hong Kong was the fundraising progress of the Five-Star Charity Foundation.

75 million on the first day, 190,000 donors.

78 million on the second day, the number of donors reached 200,000.

On the third day, there was still 53 million, 150,000 people.

On the fourth day, it gradually decreased, 38 million, 120,000 people.

At this time, the total fundraising amount had reached 244 million, and the number of people had reached 660,000.

It was simply stunning.

Many charity organizations had their teeth bitten to pieces; it was simply too hateful.

"This was originally supposed to be our money!"

"Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu robbed the money that originally belonged to us!"

……

……

On the fifth day, at noon, inside a hidden and luxurious private club, a group of gloomy-faced charity organization heads gathered.

The club was located on a high-rise building in Central, with elegant and exquisite decoration, and a huge crystal chandelier emitting soft light, reflecting on the smooth marble floor, looking brilliant.

Under this glamorous appearance, a gathering was taking place.

These heads were sitting or standing; some were wearing crisp suits and exquisite ties, while others were wearing gorgeous dresses and wearing expensive jewelry.

This group of people sat around a huge round dining table, with exquisite tableware and all kinds of delicacies on the table, but no one had the heart to taste them.

"Why does Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu get to steal our limelight!" A head of an organization stood up and slapped the table in anger.

"Exactly, this money should have belonged to us!" Another person also echoed indignantly.

Under normal circumstances, these charity celebrities and successful people were calm and composed, like a spring breeze.

But now, they were anxious.

Because their money had been stolen!

Could they not be anxious?

"We can't just sit and wait for death!" An older head said in a deep voice, "We must think of a way to deal with him."

"Yes, we have to teach him a lesson!" Someone said viciously.

"How about splashing dirty water on him? Make him lose his reputation!"

"Good idea!" Everyone nodded in agreement, "We want to make everyone think he's a bad person!"

"Then it's settled!" The older head made the final decision, "We'll act separately, we must make Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu pay the price!"

Soon, they began to discuss and plot their "revenge" plan. Their goal was only one—to make Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu lose his reputation and take back the charity money that originally "belonged" to them.

However, the most important thing was to investigate Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu's situation clearly first, otherwise splashing dirty water randomly would be meaningless.

It would take some time.

……

……

Subsequently, the fifth day, the sixth day, the seventh day...

The fundraising for the Five-Star Charity Foundation finally ended.

All of Hong Kong was watching.

The final amount raised: 323 million!

The final total number of donors: 810,000!

According to the number of households counted in Hong Kong, it was 2.13 million households.

That is to say, for every 2.5 households, one household donated!

This ratio was simply terrifying!

Soon, TVB and ATV news reported this news for the first time.

In front of the camera, the host couldn't hide their excitement, and their words were full of praise and admiration for this love.

These two numbers, like a towering mountain peak, stood at the pinnacle of Hong Kong society, making everyone shocked and shaken. This number exceeded Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu's expectations and far exceeded everyone's imagination.

The entire Hong Kong Island, countless citizens, were deeply moved and deeply shocked by this unprecedented charity craze.

"This is not just a huge donation!"

"It is even more a witness to the compatriots' hearts linked together, overcoming difficulties together!"

……

It goes without saying that Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu, by virtue of this incident, was invited by ATV news for an exclusive interview.

The exclusive interview was scheduled to be broadcast during the prime time of 20:00 in the evening.

Once the news came out, it attracted the attention of countless television viewers. That night, the number of viewers locked onto this exclusive interview was huge, and the ratings soared to over 80%, becoming the peak of ratings among recent television programs.

In the highly anticipated exclusive interview, Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu was in a crisp black suit, with gold-rimmed glasses, calm and composed, like a gentleman as gentle as jade.

Huang Jieyi interviewed: "Mr. Guan, regarding this fundraising total exceeding 323 million and the number of donors exceeding 810,000, do you have anything to say?"

Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu smiled: "First of all, I want to sincerely thank every citizen who participated in the fundraising. It is your trust and support for me and the Five-Star Group, and at the same time, you are full of love and generous..."

After thanking a bunch of people, he said in a solemn and serious tone:

"Regarding the donated funds, I can guarantee to everyone that every cent will be transferred to the disaster area without missing a single cent."

"Our Five-Star Charity Foundation will never betray this trust, and will never let any love be lost."

Speaking of this, Director Director Director Guan Zu Zu paused slightly and said:

"More importantly, in order to respond to this great love of the citizens, I, on behalf of all the shareholders of the Five-Star Group, solemnly announce:"

"The citizens donated 323 million, and our Five-Star Group will also donate 323 million!"
