Chapter 355: Old Matriarch Li Hospitalized Again! The First Step to Swallowing the Li Family!

Night, the road, murderous intent.

"Mr. Bandit, please don't be impulsive..."

Then the driver turned his head and said to Miss Li Er: "Miss, cooperate with them, otherwise they kill without blinking an eye and will kill you."

Miss Li Er was terrified beyond measure.

The bandit looked fierce and malicious: "Hand over all mobile phones, no one is allowed to call the police... This bomb I have has enough power to blow up everything within a 20-meter radius. If you don't want to die, be obedient!"

The driver looked at Miss Li Er with an apologetic face: "Miss, I'm sorry, we are truly powerless..."

And then...

Everyone's mobile phones were handed over.

"Very good, I like obedient people!!"

Subsequently, Miss Li Er was dragged out of the car by the bandit.

She broke down!

"No, don't..."

What high academic qualifications, what dominating Wall Street... everything completely collapsed at this moment!

The bandit roughly dragged her out: "Miss, we are only after money, it's just 500 million USD. Your Li family has tens of billions in assets, so this shouldn't be difficult, right?"

"Wuu wuu~~" Miss Li Er was panicked and uneasy, breaking down in tears.

The bandit found the wailing annoying: "Stop crying!"

Miss Li Er: "I am a woman, what is wrong with me crying?!"

The bandit: "..."

Damn, that makes a lot of sense.

But, I'm not a bootlicker!

The bandit cursed loudly: "Stop crying, if you cry again, I'll kill you!"

Miss Li Er didn't dare to cry anymore.

Finally,

Miss Li Er was dragged onto a van.

Other bandits began tying up the driver and the female bodyguard: "We are bandits with moral standards; we only want money, not lives. If you don't want to die, just stay still and be obedient."

The three were tied up.

Then they used anesthetic to knock the three unconscious.

Vroom vroom vroom~~~~ The van sped away, then turned into a small path and disappeared into the night.

Afterward, they changed cars several times along the way, and each car was burned to avoid leaving fingerprints.

Incidentally, the bandits also changed shifts, switching to bandits who were strangers.

Look, this is what you call professional!

1 minute later,

A car passed by here, saw a Maserati parked there, but didn't pay it any mind.

Not long after, another car came.

It wasn't until the fifth car that the driver curiously got out to check, discovered the 3 people unconscious in the car, tied up, and only then realized something was wrong and hurriedly called the police.

Not long after, the police, traffic police, PTU, and then the Regional Crime Unit... arrived one after another.

Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Guozhong, Ma Jun, Song Zi, Cao Cao Dahua, and Zhou Zhou Xingxing all arrived one after another.

Traffic police: "Chen Sir, I checked, this car is Miss Li Er's car. The people tied up should be the driver and the bodyguard. They are currently in a coma and have no injuries. It looks like a kidnapping."

Cao Cao Dahua on the side: "Wow~~ You've got to be kidding? The Li family was kidnapped again?"

Zhou Zhou Xingxing twitched: "Last time at the Grand Hotel, the Old Matriarch was extorted for 500 million USD, and this time she's kidnapped again?"

Not long after,

Li Superintendent Superintendent Situ Superintendent Situ Situ Situ Situ Situ Jie rushed over, looked at his younger sister's vehicle, and his expression turned ugly.

"This officer, please find my younger sister as soon as possible!"

"Rest assured, we will do it as soon as possible!"

Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Guozhong said with an expressionless face.

Who is Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Guozhong?

He is the one who kills Japanese people, red-hot and popular, and he doesn't have any good feelings for the Li family.

Li Superintendent Superintendent Situ Superintendent Situ Situ Situ Situ Situ Jie felt a surge of anger when he saw Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Guozhong's attitude, but he needed the police's help now, so he could only hold it in.

Not far away,

Cao Cao Dahua was already sneakily tipping off Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu: "Brother Zu, big news, the Li family's second young lady was kidnapped, the location is xxxx..."

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu was happy on the other end: "Thanks!"

After receiving the intelligence, Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu made a call to Sir Sir Sir Sir Sir Huang Sir Sir Sir Sir Sir Huang Sir Sir Sir Sir Huang Sir Sir Sir Huang Sir Sir Huang Huang Jieyi... As for Le Le Huizhen? Heh, she was on a Western-style dinner date with Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu.

The miserable Sir Sir Sir Sir Sir Huang Sir Sir Sir Sir Sir Huang Sir Sir Sir Sir Huang Sir Sir Sir Huang Sir Sir Huang Huang Jieyi could only take the cameraman and drive at full speed to the Hong Kong Island district.

However, the distance was too far, and it took more than 30 minutes to arrive, but she was already late, and the people had long since run away.

The still-miserable Sir Sir Sir Sir Sir Huang Sir Sir Sir Sir Sir Huang Sir Sir Sir Sir Huang Sir Sir Sir Huang Sir Sir Huang Huang Jieyi could only turn around and go to the Hong Kong Island District Headquarters.

Upon hearing that she was an ATV reporter, they let her through directly, and she went all the way to the Regional Crime Unit.

Coincidentally, TVB reporters also arrived at this time, and then were blocked outside the police station.

"Why? The ATV reporter went in, why can't we from TVB go in!"

The TVB reporter was furious, feeling they had received unfair treatment.

Police officer: "What ATV? I have no idea... This is a restricted police area, please don't barge in!"

TVB reporter, cameraman: "............"

Coughing up blood!!

You provoked me, it's like kicking cotton, because I am the easiest person to provoke in all of Hong Kong Island!

Over at the Li family,

"Old Madam! Old Madam!"

It was chaos, because the Old Matriarch, whose health was not very good to begin with, fainted directly after hearing the news that Miss Li Er had been kidnapped.

An ambulance wailed as it arrived and sent the Old Matriarch to the Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital.

Ring ring ring~~~

At this moment, the bandit's phone call came through.

"We are the 'Humen' organization!"

"Now your second young lady is in our hands. Please prepare 500 million USD within 24 hours. No cash needed, only bank transfers, otherwise don't blame us for tearing up the ticket!"

500 million USD?!

Li Superintendent Superintendent Situ Superintendent Situ Situ Situ Situ Situ Jie and the eldest Miss Li almost coughed up a mouthful of old blood!

Why is it 500 million USD again?

What? Bullying our Li family, right!

Anger soared to the sky.

Soon, Miss Li Er's voice came from the other side, confirming that she was indeed in their hands.

Click~~~ The other side hung up the phone quickly.

Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Guozhong and the many police officers on the side frowned one after another.

"Something's not right, something's not right!"

Li Superintendent Superintendent Situ Superintendent Situ Situ Situ Situ Situ Jie looked over: "What's not right?"

Song Zi explained: "Transferring 500 million USD out, the other party isn't worried about money laundering at all... This in itself shows that the other party's strength is very strong."

Li Superintendent Superintendent Situ Superintendent Situ Situ Situ Situ Situ Jie was stunned for a moment, and after thinking about it carefully, it really was!

His heart sank!

Could it be that this money must be paid out?

What made it even more difficult for him was that the other party only gave them 24 hours!

That is to say, by 19:00 tomorrow evening, they must hand over 500 million USD!

A certain Western restaurant.

Soft pendant lamps cast warm and dim halos of light.

On the snow-white tablecloth, an exquisite candle holder was placed with a lit candle, the flame dancing.

9 carefully selected red roses were inserted in a vase on the edge of the table, adding a touch of romantic atmosphere.

Red wine was poured into tall glasses, a small plate of exquisite appetizers, a few slices of crispy bread or a few berries, knives, forks, spoons, dinner plates...

"500 million USD?"

After receiving the news, Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu was a little surprised.

These bandits?

Actually demanding so much?

This ruthless bandit... has evolved?

Le Le Huizhen: "Brother Zu, what's wrong?"

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu explained the situation, and Le Le Huizhen was shocked, then excited: "Brother Zu, I want to go interview them!"

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu: "We're on a date right now!"

Le Le Huizhen didn't hesitate: "Next time will be fine!"

What kind of man!

Forget it!

I want to report on a big story!!

Superintendent Superintendent Situ Superintendent Situ Situ Situ Situ Situ Jie Superintendent Superintendent Situ Superintendent Situ Situ Situ Situ Situ Jie Superintendent Superintendent Situ Superintendent Situ Situ Situ Situ Situ Jie~~~

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu: "???"

Damn, the tables have been turned on me!

Over at the ruthless bandit team.

A villa!

"Cheers to the success of our first operation!"

"Cheers!" *6

Nan Ge, Cao Nan, Hua Brother Brother Brother Brother Brother Tian, Ye Ye Shiguan, Pu Guang, and the Professor—the six of them—clinked glasses in celebration.

"This kidnapping was simply too easy."

"That's right, once the bombs were set, these people didn't even dare to resist."

"Brothers, there's a lot to be gained here!"

"Get rich!"

"Get rich!"

The group cheered and shouted one after another.

That night at 22:00, Asia Television reported on the major incident at the Li family one step ahead of TVB.

"Good evening, citizens of Hong Kong~~~"

"Tonight, a major kidnapping incident that has shocked the entire city has occurred on Hong Kong Island!"

"The second young lady of the Li family was abducted by unidentified kidnappers on her way home, and her current status is unknown."

"The incident occurred around 19:00; the red Maserati the second young lady was riding in was intercepted on a remote stretch of road between Central and Deep Water Bay... and lost contact with the outside world."

"According to the latest news, the Li family matriarch suffered a sudden health crisis due to emotional distress upon hearing the news of her second daughter's kidnapping and was rushed to Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital for treatment..."

"And the ruthless bandits have demanded 500 million USD..."

"The police also urge citizens to remain vigilant; if you discover any suspicious activity, please report it to the police immediately."

...... Mong Kok,

Inside a certain street food stall, the lights were bright and the place was bustling with noise.

"Brother Song, the moment I saw you, I felt a special sense of kinship!"

Li Li Cangdong pulled Hai Sheng over for a fierce chat.

The table was covered with various grilled meats: grilled beef, grilled lamb skewers, grilled chicken wings, and grilled eggplant—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, rich with the fragrance of cumin, golden and crunchy.

"Officer Li, that thing you did was too brave."

Hai Sheng gave Li Li Cangdong a thumbs up.

Today, Hai Sheng successfully joined the Five Star Group and was assigned to the Yau Tsim Mong district to work under Li Li Cangdong.

As it turned out, the two felt an immediate connection upon meeting, and since both were former police officers, they felt even closer.

The two clinked their glasses together and, amidst the crisp sound, downed their drinks in one gulp.

!.

"My heart is bitter~~~"

Hai Sheng began to talk about his own experiences.

Just then,

Asia Television news began to broadcast.

"Tonight, the second young lady of the well-known Li family on Hong Kong Island was unfortunately kidnapped on her way home..."

Li Li Cangdong and Hai Sheng both paused their hands simultaneously.

They looked toward the television.

Following the news report on the wall-mounted TV, all the diners and waiters in the street food stall were instantly shocked!

"The second young lady of the Li family?"

"500 million USD?"

"Hiss hiss hiss~~~~"

Everyone in the entire street food stall collectively gasped in a breath of cold air from the northern grasslands.

Temperature +1!

"500 million USD? Isn't that the same amount as the last time they were extorted?!"

"Are they crazy?!"

"Holy crap, big news, these kidnappers are ruthless, damn!"

"They're insane!"

"The Li family has been hit twice in a row."

"Good heavens, the Li family has encountered some ruthless people."

"Listen to the news report, the name of that organization is 'Humen'—like the Humen Opium Destruction—this is clearly aimed at the Li family."

"Good! The Li family started out selling opium; they finally got their retribution this time."

Some were shocked, others gloated.

Wow wow wow~~~

This is exciting!

The same scenes were happening constantly all over Hong Kong: north and south of the New Territories, east and west Kowloon, Hong Kong Island, the outlying islands... in thousands of households...

Because of this news, citizens all over Hong Kong were calling it crazy!

They couldn't help but think of the Doctor.

Ever since the Doctor extorted 500 million USD, these ruthless bandits have started to evolve.

And on this very night, the wealthy of Hong Kong couldn't sleep.

It's over!

The ruthless bandits have started kidnapping the wealthy now!

They were so scared they had their subordinates hire bodyguards overnight.

And retired elite police officers became the hot commodity.

A new day,

Monday,

Throughout last night,

The police were constantly deployed and found the burned-out cars, but they couldn't find any clues at all.

During this period, there wasn't much surveillance, so finding the cars was too difficult.

As for the media, it was a carnival; newspapers were digging deep into the information.

"A Deep Dive into the Li Family's Background!"

"Will the Li family pay the ransom?"

"Matriarch wakes up, rumored to be abandoning the second young lady!"

"Latest news: Matriarch will spare no cost to redeem the second young lady!"

"Police Commissioner gives a speech, Hong Kong police enter level-one alert!"

"Massive search of all ships in Hong Kong!"

"What is the significance of the kidnapper organization naming themselves 'Humen'?"

Citizens all over Hong Kong were busy eating melons.

Even when the "Draft Agreement on Electricity Tariff Control" was published in the Government Gazette on Monday and officially legislated, no one paid attention to this matter concerning the citizens' livelihood.

Livelihood?

What livelihood?

Hong Kong citizens say:

A mere few hundred in electricity bills! How could that possibly be as good as the Li family kidnapping payout!

……

Early in the morning at 8 o'clock,

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu arrived at the Five Star Group building.

Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Zhanbo had been summoned by Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu and arrived early, waiting for Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu at the office entrance.

Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Zhanbo: "Brother Zu!"

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu: "Did you see the news last night?"

Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Zhanbo: "I did, the Li family's second young lady was snatched."

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu: "What are your thoughts?"

Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Zhanbo said: "I have some. On the stock market today, the shares of the Li family's Hysan Development will definitely fluctuate, though it's impossible to judge right now whether they will rise or fall."

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu: "Explain in detail."

The two entered the office and sat on the sofa; Fang Ting had already brewed tea.

Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Zhanbo: "Hysan Development's main business is property investment, management, and development; it owns over 4 million square feet of office, retail, and residential floor space."

"These are all high-quality assets; surely many people are coveting them."

"The last two times we were acquiring the Cheung Kong Group, there were always others quietly absorbing Cheung Kong Group's stock."

"The same situation must be happening with Hysan Development."

"Between short-selling to crash the market and acquiring to absorb shares, I think most capital will choose to acquire and increase their stake in Hysan Development. Because short-selling to crash the market carries too high a risk."

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu thought for a moment and realized Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Zhanbo's logic was sound.

It was estimated that the Li family's stock wouldn't fall tomorrow.

Instead, it might actually rise.

However, since Hysan Development covered half of the commercial office buildings in Causeway Bay, Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu felt a bit greedy.

"Contact the Li family and ask if they are willing to sell their Hysan Development shares. I have 900 million in cash here that I can give them immediately!"

Originally, the 900 million was prepared for acquiring Mr. Li's Cheung Kong Group, but now it would likely be used to acquire Hysan Development.

Damn!

Too poor!

Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Zhanbo: "I think there is a great hope. It's 8 o'clock now, and there are 11 hours left until 19:00 tonight. I don't know to what extent the Li family has raised their funds. 900 million should be very important to them."

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu thought for a moment: "If they need more, I can come up with 2 billion for them!"

That's right, Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu had his eyes on the portion of money from his allies, Boss Zheng and Boss Lin.

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu added: "The matter regarding that foundation needs to be done as soon as possible. Lately, I feel there are too many places to spend money; we need to raise capital."

Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Zhanbo: "I will handle the paperwork as soon as possible."

After Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Fang Zhanbo left, Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu let out a string of curses!

This violent bandit life really makes money fast!

Should I... give it a try too?

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu quickly shook off that thought!

With the system, one step at a time, steady and solid, he was destined to be invincible. There was no need to use such risky methods.

……

Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital, a luxurious VIP ward.

The old matriarch, having woken up, was weak but remained composed:

"We can pay the 500 million USD; we must ensure the safety of the second daughter."

"How much capital has been raised so far?"

Li Superintendent Superintendent Situ Superintendent Situ Situ Situ Situ Situ Jie: "Currently, we have raised 1.8 billion HKD, and we are still 1.8 billion short... After borrowing money from them last time, we urgently sold off quite a few shares, and this time all the wealthy bosses are opening their mouths like lions."

In the past, the Li family relied on Causeway Bay properties, collecting over a billion in rent a year.

Now, they were actually trapped by this mere billion or so.

The old matriarch valued the second daughter highly and urged: "Money can be earned again, but the person must be guaranteed. There are 11 hours left, so hurry! The later it gets, the more ruthless those bosses will be with their prices!"

"Ring ring ring~~~~"

Just then, a call came through.

After Li Superintendent Superintendent Situ Superintendent Situ Situ Situ Situ Situ Jie answered and chatted for a few minutes, his expression shifted uncertainly.

After hanging up,

Li Superintendent Superintendent Situ Superintendent Situ Situ Situ Situ Situ Jie came before the old matriarch: "That Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu says he has 900 million on hand, and if needed, he can provide another 1.1 billion, to be transferred within an hour. His condition is to exchange for the Hysan Development shares we hold, at a 30% discount on last Friday's stock price."

The old matriarch said coldly: "How ruthless! Taking advantage of a crisis!"

"What are the other bosses asking for?"

"I don't know if they discussed it, but they are all at a 30% discount; Liu Liu Luanxiong is at a 25% discount, but he only has 600 million..."

The old matriarch: "…………"

Fine, fine, fine!

So everyone is this cold-blooded and ruthless, right!

The old matriarch closed her eyes, thinking about Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu's reputation and credibility, which were better than the other bosses.

"Go talk to Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu!"
