Chapter 373: 367 Fierce Bandit Team: Stunned

In Causeway Bay, at the home of Mao Mao Xiang Yang,

Mao Mao Xiang Yang saw the news on television and was greatly shocked.

He hurriedly called Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu, but the line was busy and wouldn't go through. He then hurriedly called Chen Chen Yongren.

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu's importance to the mainland right now was immense.

His public approval rating and the influence of Asia Television's public opinion could both greatly assist the mainland in taking over Hong Kong smoothly.

He certainly did not want anything to happen to Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu.

The call connected.

"Ah Ren, how is Ah Zu right now... What? He's fine? Really fine?"

"He's really fine. Brother Zu had long since discovered the kidnappers and wasn't in the car at all. He then set a trap for the kidnappers to fall into. There were three kidnappers; two are dead, and one was captured alive. They are currently searching for the other kidnappers."

"That's good! That's good!"

Mao Mao Xiang Yang let out a sigh of relief.

The Li family villa.

"Hahaha~~~~"

"I never thought you, Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu, would have a day like this!"

The second young lady of the Li family laughed loudly.

She felt the thrill of "finally, someone is as miserable as I am!"

At the Financial Secretary's office, Fang Anxin also laughed happily, gloating over the misfortune.

At this moment,

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu's phone was ringing off the hook.

Boss Zheng, Boss Lin, Sir Dai, Zhang Zhang Wenyao, and quite a few other acquaintances all called to ask about the situation.

Upon learning that Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu was fine, they all breathed a sigh of relief.

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu was a rare business partner; they didn't want anything to happen to him.

Various radio stations in Hong Kong reported the news one after another.

"Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu has encountered a kidnapping..."

"Please stay tuned for the latest updates..."

As the news spread, more and more Hong Kong citizens learned of it.

While shocked, they all switched channels to Asia Television.

As for *Raging Sword Roaring in the Wild Sands*, they didn't care for it at all!

As for *Heaven and Earth Without Mercy*, although it was hard to watch, it was still playing.

Time continued to pass,

And at this time, TVB also learned a little information from the police and citizen hotlines: the location was on Wylie Road in Hong Kong.

They ran to the police station to ask, but the West Kowloon Police Station wouldn't let them in at all; only Asia Television reporters were going in and out.

TVB reporter: "............"

It was infuriating!

Isn't your collusion a bit too obvious?

They contacted every hospital and heard no word of Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu being sent to one; even at Mingxin Hospital, TVB was blocked from entering.

After struggling for nearly an hour, TVB only learned that Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu had indeed been attacked, but they had absolutely no idea about the specific circumstances.

As for Bai Chi Li?

He had been sent to the police station to give a statement and couldn't get out now.

TVB simply skirted the edges and urgently interrupted with a news broadcast...

"Dear viewers... as you can see, this is the scene of the attack..."

"There are bloodstains here... there are bullet holes here..."

Then they were cursed at by countless viewers.

"Damn it, is this what I want to see? I want to see a bloodbath!"

"I want to know what exactly is going on with Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu right now!"

Amidst such cursing and swearing,

The audience quickly changed channels and ran over to Asia Television.

And at this time,

In the villa of the fierce bandit group,

A quarrel was currently underway.

"What's going on? Why hasn't the call come back yet? Could the operation have failed?"

"It's impossible to fail. We have bombs, we have guns, and Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu has no gun. With him in the car, there's no way he could have escaped! He had no choice but to surrender!"

"This plan was foolproof; there's no way it could have gone wrong."

Finally, everyone looked at Pu Guang with suspicion.

"You need to give us an explanation!"

"Is it that your underlings are planning to keep it all for themselves? Or is it... that you are planning to keep it all for yourself?"

"I..." Pu Guang was also starting to suspect that his underlings wanted to keep it all for themselves.

He was dumbfounded.

21:00, the Asia Television news hour that the whole of Hong Kong was watching, finally arrived.

All the citizens of Hong Kong were either at home or had gathered in places with televisions to watch.

"Hasn't it started yet?"

"Damn! Still showing commercials?!"

"I'll endure it, I'll endure it~~"

Finally,

Under the attention of millions of citizens, the news officially aired.

Wen Wen Huixin sat upright at the anchor desk.

"Good evening, dear viewers!"

"We bring you a major piece of news from Hong Kong. Just tonight at 19:53, a thrilling attempted kidnapping occurred in Hong Kong. The kidnappers' target was none other than the highly prominent Hong Kong figure—Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu."

"It is reported that Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu's vehicle, a blue Bentley, was traveling along its usual route. When it reached Wylie Road, a place with few pedestrians, a Mazda rushed toward the blue Bentley, forcing it to stop."

"The kidnappers were armed with AK47s, shouting Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan's name, and tore open their clothes to reveal rows of bombs strapped to their bodies..."

The news reported the entire process in detail...

The hearts of all Hong Kong citizens skipped a beat.

With both AKs and bombs, Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan was likely truly kidnapped.

Then...

Anchor Wen Wen Huixin changed the tone:

"But what the kidnappers never expected was that our boss, Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan, had long since noticed someone following him and suspected they were the fierce bandits behind the kidnapping case..."

"Therefore, he played them at their own game, inviting elite forces from the O-Unit, the West Kowloon Headquarters, the Hong Kong Island Headquarters, and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau to lie in ambush."

"And Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan was not in the car at all!"

"What followed was a gunfight..."

"One fierce bandit was shot in the head by a sniper from 300 meters away, and another kidnapper was killed on the spot..."

The television screen was playing: the dents on the blue Bentley, the Santana, the taxi, the shattered windows of the Mercedes, and the dense piles of shell casings on the ground...

"Subsequently, one fierce bandit fled into the park... and was finally successfully captured by the super cop from the West Kowloon Headquarters, Mr. Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Jiaju..."

Then the screen played the entire process of Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Chen Jiaju fighting 50 moves, each one thrilling, heroically subduing the bandit Ah Long, without missing a single detail.

Over at the Li family, the second young lady, who was preparing to watch Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu make a fool of himself, was completely stunned.

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu was actually fine?

And he even captured the kidnappers?

Although it avenged her, the second young lady of the Li family couldn't bring herself to be happy!

Over at Boss Li's place, the father and son both wore expressions of disappointment.

Over at Uncle Uncle Uncle Uncle Uncle Liang Uncle Uncle Uncle Uncle Uncle Liang Uncle Uncle Uncle Uncle Liang Uncle Uncle Uncle Liang Uncle Uncle Liang Liang Shuyi's place, she was also cursing and swearing.

The wicked live for a thousand years!

Inside the villa of the fierce bandit group,

Nan Ge, Hua Brother Brother Brother Brother Brother Tian, Ye Ye Shiguan, Professor, Pu Guang, and the others were all stunned.

The operation failed?

The kidnapping operation was anticipated by Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu in advance? Their heads were buzzing~~~

In their view, this kidnapping was foolproof. How did it fail so easily when it came to Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu?

Hua Brother Brother Brother Brother Brother Tian glared at Pu Guang and Professor: "I already said this Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu is not someone to be trifled with; his public support is too strong, and it's very easy for things to go wrong. Now look, by provoking him, not only did we fail, but we also got our own people implicated."

Professor was also very regretful at this moment about why he had to provoke Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu, but Hua Brother Brother Brother Brother Brother Tian suddenly exploded in anger.

"Damn it, didn't you agree to it at the time? Don't be a backseat driver here."

Then Pu Guang also joined the battlefield, spraying insults at Hua Brother Brother Brother Brother Brother Tian.

The entire villa suddenly became noisy.

"Alright, alright!"

"Quiet down!"

Nan Ge shouted.

"Don't assign blame now, we need to think of a way to handle the aftermath immediately!"

"Fortunately, all of us have cut ties."

!.

"They can't trace it back to us at all."

Everyone had already established a strict process while in Switzerland, and everything was done separately.

Little Bird followed the trail, and after finding the intelligence, he would leave the data in a certain place.

Ah Hu would go to retrieve it.

The two sides had absolutely no contact.

And Pu Guang's underlings and the others' underlings did not know each other either.

Pu Guang's expression changed at this moment, and he hurriedly called Little Bird: "Have you watched the news? You've been exposed, run immediately, don't stay in Zhugang."

After finishing the call, he burned the phone directly.

Nan Ge said with a serious face, "Although the possibility of them tracing it to us is small, for the sake of safety, we will separate for this period; do not take any action!"

"Also Professor, Pu Guang, you must leave Zhugang immediately!"

"Agreed!"

"Agreed!"

The elite bandit group encountered a setback for the first time, then scattered like birds and beasts, leaving the villa.

……

At this time,

Asia Television news was broadcasting footage of Zhang Zaishan wearing a bomb suit to dismantle a bomb... The footage was shot from the side; one could see it was a bomb, but couldn't see clearly what kind of bomb it was... to avoid looking low-class.

"Currently... the police have made a preliminary judgment that this attempted kidnapping case is highly likely related to a series of major actions by Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu in the commercial field recently."

"However, there is no conclusive evidence yet to indicate that these kidnappers are related to the previous 'Humen' gang."

"Here, we appeal to citizens... clues... police... crackdown intensity..."

"Finally, a territory-wide reward is offered to search for 4 suspects. The appearance of these 4 suspects is as follows..."

Little Bird and 3 others.

"If any public-spirited citizen can provide clues to help the police make an arrest, they can receive a 1 million reward, 1 million for each suspect!"

At this moment,

The 4 of them, including Little Bird, were exposed in front of all the citizens of Zhugang.

……

……

New Territories, a certain rented apartment,

The 4 of them, including Little Bird, whose dreams of getting rich had just been shattered, saw their own photos on the television.

Damn!

The other party actually found them, and even took such clear photos.

They immediately felt their scalps go numb!

Their souls had scattered!

"Run quickly!"

Little Bird realized something was wrong and bolted out the door without a word.

The other three bandits also had their expressions change drastically and fled in a hurry.

This Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu is too terrifying!

They had no contact with him throughout the whole process; how did Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu find them? And he even took photos without them knowing.

"Wait..."

In the car,

A bandit underling suddenly froze.

"That's not right, we had no contact with him the whole time, what evidence does he have to prove we committed the crime? He has no evidence! We don't fear him in court at all!"

Little Bird slapped him directly: "Are you stupid? What kind of person is Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu? He has connections in both the underworld and the police; do you think he'll talk about evidence if he catches you? He'll just throw you into the sea to fill the reclamation!"

Upon hearing this, the underling stepped on the gas pedal even harder.

Car HP -1!

At this moment, Little Bird felt a bit of resentment toward their boss.

It would have been better if you had kidnapped other wealthy people. If those wealthy people couldn't find evidence to catch me, I would be fine. As a result, you provoked Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu; even if there is no evidence against us, we still have to run.

Boss, you're a pit!

Not long after they left, a public-spirited resident brought the police to the place they had rented.

Landlady: "Officer, when I rented it to them at the time, I could tell they weren't good people at a glance! Sure enough, they weren't; they turned out to be bandits!"

Officer: "Then why did you still rent it to them?"

Landlady: "…………"

She wished she could slap herself; why did she have to have such a big mouth!

……

……

Little Bird's side, taking his underlings, fled in a panic.

But soon they were a bit lost and confused.

How am I supposed to escape Zhugang?

Usually, leaving Zhugang by boat involves those kinds of smuggling boats.

But...

They needed to find such a 'boatman'.

And yet...

This damn Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu covers the sky with one hand in the Zhugang underworld; the reward is 1 million per person, adding up to 4 million.

Do they dare to go find a 'boatman'?

Would they get a noose around their necks in the middle of the night?

……

……

At this time,

Asia Television, Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu's office.

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu summoned the News Director and the Deputy Director Wen Wen Huixin.

"The whereabouts of these four suspects have actually been under my control for a long time..."

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu sat on the sofa with a grand air, just missing a cigar to complete the boss-like aura.

The Director and Wen Wen Huixin were shocked.

The boss is actually this outrageous? He had already grasped the other party's whereabouts?

Wen Wen Huixin was excited: "Boss, should we cooperate with the police and have a live broadcast of the arrest?"

"That's not right of you!"

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu looked serious: "As a person, the most important thing is to have public morality. It's already 10 PM, don't people need to sleep? We still have to go to work tomorrow!"

Director, Wen Wen Huixin: "…………"

They always felt something was strange.

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu added: "When doing television, don't be in a hurry... you have to take it slow! Let the matter ferment for a day tomorrow, and then hold a live broadcast of the arrest... won't Asia Television's ratings be stable then?"

"If that's still not enough, then separate these suspects and catch them one by one. Every time we catch one, we broadcast it... wouldn't Asia Television's ratings fly to the sky?"

The Director and Wen Wen Huixin were dumbfounded.

This works too?

As expected of the boss.

Truly ruthless!

It seems we still have a lot to learn!

If the little bird knew that its escape was all part of Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu's plan to boost the ratings of Asia Television, one wonders if he would be so angry he'd cough up blood!

Who else could he have provoked? Why did he have to go and pick a guy like Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu?
