Chapter 755

"Second Brother, don't talk nonsense, can he not have bodyguards protecting him?"

A thin, tall man interjected, but his eyes also revealed a trace of greed.

"What's there to fear! What hasn't our 'Tiger-Leopard Team' done? Even the police can't do anything to us, can't we handle a few bodyguards? Besides, if we pick the right time, catch them off guard, rob them and run, who can catch us?"

The scar-faced man called Second Brother slapped the table, and the cards on the table shook.

At this time, the flat-headed man who had been silent raised his head and looked at the TV: "If we really rob him, then this matter will be big."

"Big? What's there to fear? We've robbed so many, made a fortune, we're not afraid of things being big!"

"It's possible, but this matter must be considered in the long run. This Hong Kong richest man is not an ordinary person; a slight carelessness could lead to trouble."

"But if we really succeed, then wealth and honor will be in our hands. Just thinking about it makes people excited."

The few people talked one after another, getting more and more excited, having long thrown the thought of playing cards to the back of their minds, their eyes flashing with unrealistic desires.

The next day,

Mianzhu City Guest House.

When Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu and Sister Ruan Mei went downstairs for breakfast, they suddenly found that there were some more guards, about a dozen or so, and they were openly carrying guns.

The education leader explained: "Recently, a group of fierce bandits appeared, and the leaders felt there was a safety issue, so they sent people over to protect Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan and Mrs. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan."

"Also, Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan, my suggestion is that you don't go for spot checks anymore and return to Defend Defend Defend Chengdu as soon as possible."

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu was thoughtful.

He also saw the news yesterday; these fierce bandits looked very rampant, and his party had been a bit high-profile recently. The bandits knew he was the richest man in Hong Kong and could easily take out 1.5 billion Hong Kong dollars.

Although he wasn't afraid of them, Sister Ruan Mei was by his side.

He didn't want her to be in any danger; Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu couldn't bear it even if she scratched a finger.

As for Crown Prince Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan?

Sorry, Crown Prince Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan was at the Jinjiang Hotel, abandoned by Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu.

(Crown Prince Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan: "............" Feed me peanuts! Feed me peanuts!)

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu decided: "Then let's go back..."

The education leader breathed a sigh of relief: "Okay, morning? Afternoon?"

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu thought for a moment and said: "10 AM, I'll have a meeting with the spot-check team first, and then we'll leave... By the way, leader, can you trouble the government to arrange some protection for the engineering spot-check team as well?"

Although these bandits were random criminals and unlikely to be encountered, Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu still wanted to ensure their safety as much as possible.

The education leader patted his chest: "No problem!"

Soon,

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu held a meeting and communicated with the engineer team.

At 10 AM,

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu took Sister Ruan Mei and his party and drove back to the Defend Defend Defend Chengdu Jinjiang Hotel, the journey was smooth without any setbacks.

Next, the spot-check engineering team continued on the road, checking according to the areas delineated by Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu.

For the next 5 days,

The spot-check engineering team personally visited 5 counties, including urban areas, county districts, as well as small towns and villages.

Constantly spot-checking.

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu was very satisfied with the final inspection results.

Everything passed.

During a call in the middle, Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu also made a request, asking the government to erect a monument in front of every newly built Five-Star primary and middle school in the province, writing down the financial departments, engineering teams, and suppliers who handled the construction of this school.

When problems arise, no one can escape.

And during this time,

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu was not idle either, but went to the Five-Star West China Hospital located in the northwest area of Defend Defend Defend Chengdu city center.

This hospital had been built for 3 months and was currently being renovated.

The building was very large,

There were gardens and the like,

The road outside had been fully paved.

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu and others wore helmets and walked into the hospital building.

The door frames of various departments had been built, and the door signs for the obstetrics and gynecology department and the emergency department were leaning against the wall waiting to be installed.

In the wards, workers were laying anti-slip floor tiles, and boxes of white ceramic tiles and brown skirting boards were stacked against the wall.

In the operating room area on the top floor, technicians were debugging the fresh air system, and the buzzing sound of machine operation was mixed with the rustling sound of walkie-talkies...

In the evening, *Sichuan News Broadcast* began to report:

"Today, Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu inspected the Sichuan Five-Star West China Hospital, which has been completed for less than three months..."

"This large-scale Grade-A tertiary comprehensive hospital, funded by the Five-Star Group, has an overall scale twice that of the existing West China Hospital and has attracted much attention from all walks of life since its foundation..."

"It is understood that the hospital is built according to international first-class standards in terms of discipline construction, equipment configuration, and talent reserve, and is a comprehensive large-scale Grade-A tertiary hospital for medical treatment, teaching, and scientific research. After formal operation, the Five-Star Group will dispatch elite medical teams from its affiliated medical institutions to settle in, forming talent linkage with senior medical backbones dispatched by the West China Medical Center, and cooperate together..."

"This kind of cross-regional integration of medical forces is the first of its kind, effectively promoting the rapid development of Sichuan's medical technology..."

In that fierce bandit den.

The Tiger-Leopard team bandits watched the news about Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu on TV and fell silent collectively.

"Why did he run to Defend Defend Defend Chengdu? I was saying we'd catch him on this road in Linshui, now that he's run so far, what are we going to do?"

"Exactly, Defend Defend Defend Chengdu is a place we're not familiar with, and there are police everywhere, how can we kidnap anyone? Now I'm afraid we won't even get a sip of soup!"

They cursed one after another.

Feeling that the opportunity to make a fortune had left them.

Finally, the boss spoke: "Then rob others, small change is still money!"

They finally calmed down a bit.

*Sichuan News Broadcast* hadn't finished yet,

Host: "In addition, I would like to tell all viewers a good news, tomorrow night at 20:00, Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan will visit Sichuan Television, our station will conduct a half-hour exclusive live interview with Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan, and there will be a segment for calls with viewers, welcome to call the hotline 85587777..."

With the broadcast of this news,

Thousands of households in Sichuan were looking forward to it.

They lived deep in the interior and rarely left the province, let alone the international metropolis of Hong Kong. Moreover, in recent years, songs and movies from Hong Kong had become popular in Sichuan with tapes, videotapes, and discs, making many people full of curiosity about Hong Kong.

Time flew by,

24 hours later.

Defend Defend Defend Chengdu at 19:00 was already covered in twilight,

The neon lights of the Sichuan Television building were already lit.

A motorcade stopped at the entrance of the television station, and Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu and the propaganda leaders got out of the car together.

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu was in a black suit, with gold-rimmed glasses, and a sunny, warm, and charming smile.

The station director and several deputy directors who had been waiting at the gate early immediately greeted him,

"Hello, leader..."

"Hello, Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan, we've been looking forward to your arrival, welcome to Sichuan Television..."

The station director shook Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu's hand, full of enthusiasm.

19:55,

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu arrived at the studio.

Two sofas, one table...

On the table was "Dialogue with Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu—The Era Connection between Hong Kong and Sichuan."

Three cameras stood on both sides, and the red light in front of the lens flashed with a standby signal.

The host was Chen Yue, a famous host.

Both sides took their seats.

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu originally asked Sister Ruan Mei if she wanted to come, but she said no, she didn't want to be in the spotlight.

20:00 sharp,

The studio ceiling lights suddenly turned on fully, and the director's countdown gesture waved from three to one.

Chen Yue straightened his back:

"Good evening, dear viewers, this is the special live program of Sichuan Television's *Tonight's Interview*! I am the host, Chen Yue."

"Today we are honored to invite the well-known Hong Kong industrialist, founder of the Five-Star Group, Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu—Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan, please say hello to our fellow folks in Sichuan first!"

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu smiled and waved at the camera: "Hello, folks in Sichuan. I am Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu, very happy to be able to come to Sichuan..."

Then the formal interview began...

Host Chen Yue: "Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan, I heard that you came from an ordinary family in Hong Kong. Can you tell us about your early growth experience? How did you step by step walk on the road to becoming the richest man?"

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu smiled: "I am indeed from an ordinary family, I was already an orphan in middle school..."

Sichuan audience: "Ah??? ~~~~"

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu: "As for how I started the business? I opened a Five-Star property company at that time, which was for cleaning and maintenance... Of course, the biggest feature of our property company was doing good deeds, such as helping the elderly cross the road, or helping grandmothers carry vegetables, etc..."

"At that time, I set up a reward, if you do a good deed, you get a cash reward..."

Sichuan audience: "Wow???"

The host asked again: "From starting from scratch to becoming the richest man in Hong Kong, is there any noble person who has had a profound influence on you in the process?"

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu smiled: "No, I started from scratch, there were no noble people. If I had to say there was a noble person, perhaps it was my wife's support. Thank you to my wife Sister Ruan Mei for always supporting me behind the scenes..."

Showing off affection!!

Sichuan people: "............"

Host: "............"

Caught off guard, they were shown off by Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu.

Sister Ruan Mei in front of the TV was immediately happy, the corners of her mouth flying up, looking at Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu on TV, her eyes were as gentle as water, and her love was thick and inseparable.

The host asked curiously: "Is Mrs. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan from a wealthy family in Hong Kong?"

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu smiled: "My wife's ancestors were considered a wealthy family in Hangzhou, but after going to Hong Kong, the family fell on hard times. When I first met my wife, she was so poor every day that she had to do some manual work to earn money, and the vegetables she ate every day had to be calculated to save money..."

Sichuan people: "Wow~~~~"

They thought Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu relied on his wife's support, but it turned out not to be the case.

Truly starting from scratch?

Amazing!

The host was also surprised and asked: "In the early stages of your business, what was the biggest difficulty you encountered? And how did you overcome it?"

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu: "Difficulty? No difficulties. When I opened the company to do things, brothers and friends were willing to support me, neighbors were willing to support me, the company never encountered any difficulties."

Sichuan audience: "Wow!!!!!"

Host: "Wow!!!"

It felt a bit "Versailles," although they didn't know the word Versailles yet.

It is estimated that after hearing this, Ma and Pony would not be able to help but say————

(Kneeling in pain~~~)

When it comes to showing off, I can't show off better than him!

The host thought for a moment and said: "This is perhaps the true experience of Wei Zheng's saying 'the people can carry the boat.' As long as you gain a popular foundation, whatever you do will be successful."

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu nodded: "Yes, thank you to the neighbors for their support..."

Host: "This time you chose to donate 1.5 billion to Sichuan to build schools, how did the initial idea come about? Sichuan and Hong Kong are thousands of miles apart, what made you pay special attention to Sichuan's education cause?"

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu: "The year before last, I went to Shaanxi. At that time, in order to reach deep cooperation with domestic universities, I donated 100 million to Northwestern Polytechnical University in Shaanxi. It was at that time that I saw with my own eyes the simplicity of the students' teaching conditions, so the idea of donating schools came up..."

"Sichuan is the second province where I donated schools..."

Host: "Adding the 2 provinces together... Doesn't that mean you donated two or three billion?!"

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu nodded: "Yes."

Sichuan people: "Wow~~~~~~~"

Host: "On the road of public welfare, have you encountered any doubts? How do you view and deal with them?"

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu: "Doubts? There are indeed some, but it's not Hong Kong citizens who doubt me, but many bosses who doubt that my charity is too outrageous, comparing them all... Currently, our Five-Star Group's charity funds account for 90% of the entire Hong Kong charity funds. Many charity organizations say that our Five-Star charity is the industry's paraquat..."

Industry paraquat?

As soon as these words came out, host Chen Yue sprayed with laughter.

The Sichuan audience in front of the TV also sprayed.

Host: "As an entrepreneur who started from scratch to become the richest man in Hong Kong, what does Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan want to say to the vast number of domestic entrepreneurs?"

Now,

Those ambitious grassroots people in front of the TV couldn't help but prick up their ears.

This is the richest man teaching experience!

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu thought for a moment and said: "First of all, we can be clear about one point: our country has a huge population and huge resources, and the economy will definitely take off, so the opportunities currently can be said to be countless."

"In addition, I also want to clarify one point: when doing business or being a person, I don't ask you to do charity, but at least you must have principles and a bottom line."

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu could only say so much.

Any more would be preachy.

Host Chen Yue: "Thank you, Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan, for sharing."

Then he continued to ask: "Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan, you are so busy with work, how do you balance your career and personal life? Do you have any hobbies?"

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu: "Sometimes it's quite busy, but I often organize brothers and friends to go fishing, then family team building, or eat late-night snacks together, cook together... I don't really like social banquets and feasts, I like more daily leisure..."

Host: "What expectations and suggestions do you have for Sichuan's future economic development and urban construction?"

Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan Zu: "One word: Take off!"

"As for suggestions, none. Because I believe more in the wisdom of the people of Sichuan Province, it will definitely take off!"

The host and the audience laughed happily again.

20 minutes later,

The host was still not satisfied.

The people of Sichuan Province were also not satisfied.

30 minutes, it felt completely insufficient!

I want 1 hour... no, two hours!

Host Chen Yue: "Okay, now it's time for the audience hotline segment, let's connect to the first audience call and see what questions the audience wants to ask Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan..."

Beep beep beep~~~~~

Soon,

The call was connected.

The first audience member was a woman, and as soon as she connected, she shouted excitedly: "Ah ah ah~~~ Did I get through? Hahaha~~~ So lucky, cough cough cough... Mr. Director Director Director Director Director Director Guan, hello, I am a parent of a primary school student in Mianzhu, thank you very much for building a large and beautiful primary school..."

Chen Yue: "This viewer, because time is limited, please state your question."
