Chapter 38

Little fatty (not a name, just a descriptor), Wang Tianlin, Dad (not a name).

same.

Wang Tianlin stuck out his belly, stood up and slapped the little fatty's head.

While hitting and cursing: "You street rat, you want to strangle me? Want to inherit my estate?"

none.

Wang Tianlin asked in surprise: "You? Just you? And shares? Is your boss crazy?"

The little fatty said aggrievedly: "Dad, why don't you believe me? It's really from our boss, and he said I can independently direct films in the future."

As a veteran of the film and television circles for decades, Wang Tianlin had never seen such a generous boss; this was too generous! He was even moved.

In TVB for decades, he never had such treatment!

Wang Tianlin seriously said to the little fatty: "From now on, do your work conscientiously; they've given you what they should and even what they shouldn't; if you mess up, have you thought about the consequences?"

The little fatty said seriously: "Dad, rest assured, I know what's important; I know the boss's status; as long as I have no ulterior motives and truly consider the company, even if there's something wrong, the boss won't hold it against me!"

Seeing his father's distrustful attitude, the little fatty immediately refused and then said: "Dad, really, I'm not lying to you; although the boss is a Jianghu figure, he's actually very easy to get along with—you can even joke with him!"

The boss's wife is also very nice, unlike Fang Tai, who quibbles over trivial matters.

The company's daily work meals are of the highest standard; the boss says, "Eat well and full, then you have the energy to work," unlike those stingy bigwigs. The boss has the magnanimity of a Jianghu big brother, yet lacks the bad habits of other Jianghu people.

Wang Tianlin, little fatty, boss, Gangdao underworld (Hong Kong Island underworld).

Stanley, selling salted duck eggs (not a name).

Boss, Shaw Brothers Film Company.

Use your pig brain to think about it!

The little fatty nodded seriously, thought a moment, then said: "Dad, do you know about our company's Young and Dangerous film being pirated recently?"

Wang Tianlin nodded, indicating he knew.

The little fatty said mysteriously: "Dad, do you know how big the scene was back then?"

Little fatty, dad, Hung Hing (Prosperity), Gangdao (Hong Kong Island), Yau Tsim Mong.

none.

I've never seen such a scene in my life; it was truly shocking back then. Our boss didn't even show up, just waited at the company—really had style!

That's a real big brother! He doesn't even need to lift a finger; just a phone call settles everything!

Wang Tianlin nodded in agreement and said: "Since you know, then work diligently; your boss is so generous, has underworld magnanimity, and great influence, able to guarantee you won't be threatened by others—this company is excellent!".

The people from Shaw Brothers Film Company have all been poached by Fang Tai; tomorrow I'll introduce some folks for you to meet, treat them well—they're experts in every aspect, and it'll help you establish yourself in the company.

The little fatty didn't care, waved his hand and said: "Come on, everyone; now I call the shots at the film company; the boss hardly manages things, as long as you're capable you get paid—he's very magnanimous."

Little fatty, Li Xin.

He doesn't manage things, but he gives what's due; if you fail to handle his affairs well, the consequences are also severe!

…… (ellipsis) no.

Liang Jiahui, girlfriend (not a name).

"You mean your boss wants to invite me to your company?"

Jiang Jianian.

Liang Jiawei nodded and said affirmatively: "The boss said he's looked over your resume and wants you to join the company as a producer; if you have management skills, he also wants to transfer you to an administrative post."

Jiang Jiayan thought seriously for a moment, then said: "What about the salary and benefits?"

Liang Jiahui, boss, Causeway Bay Company, real estate agency (not a name).

Shaw Brothers Film Company, Clear Water Bay.

Clear Water Bay, Tseung Kwan O Film City.

"Eh, it's near General's Bay Film City, convenient for filming; the company provides a shuttle, routes run according to each employee's residence, or rather it's the boss's own taxi company, with routes he plans himself."

Shaw Brothers era (not a name).

…….

Little fatty, Causeway Bay Company, real estate agency.

The entire third floor became Li Xin's office, with two bedrooms renovated inside; one inside is Li Xin's bedroom, one near the door is Jianguo's bedroom; if it gets late, he can rest here.

Li Xin was on the third floor discussing the renovation plan with Big Brother B, marking what each area should be turned into.

After the discussion, Big Brother B said emotively: "A Xin, you're getting bigger and bigger! I've been eating off your dividends lately; this whole time I've been working for you at the renovation agency."

"Not only do you have several companies, but the group has also gotten on track—truly remarkable!"

Li Xin didn't care for Big Brother B's flattery, saying lightly: "Looking big, they're just empty shells; we still need to fill them gradually; right now we're truly short-staffed!"

"Capable people take one look and leave without a second thought; now those we can hire are just those who can follow routine and get the work done."

Big Brother B gave him an annoyed glance: "This guy loves to show off! His subordinates already include HKU graduates—what more does he want?"

Ah Xin, Fei Lao Lai, Mr. Jiang, North Point leader.

Big Boss B, Ah Xin, Chen Haonan, North Point leader.

Li Xin didn't even think before refusing: "No, I have no ideas at all; my lineage will hold onto Xi Gong, and let others have the other places."

Big Brother B hesitated a moment, then said: "A Xin, what do you think about Chen Haonan? Is there a chance for him to take the position of Thus line: Leader in North Point?"

Li Xin almost cursed; Big Brother B truly treats Chen Haonan like his own son!

damn it

"This damn thing isn't bullying honest people, is it?"

No one does things like this!
