Chapter 268

~13 min read 2,440 words

Is it orderly?

What do you want to change?

A great divine ability person of the Demon Race looked warily, "Fellow Daoist, please take note——the Saint is conducting teachings!"

It's merely teachings; don't overstep.

Handling the affairs of the Honghuang realm is best left to us professionals; otherwise, problems easily arise, dealing a heavy blow to the development of the Human Dao and causing a large-scale decline in the quality of life of countless beings.

By then, if stirred by well-meaning individuals and fanned by conspirators—for instance, the demonic forces under Luohu Mozu seeking to disturb the Honghuang realm, causing the myriad beings whose interests have been harmed to lose reason and attack……to stabilize the situation and soothe the hearts of the Human Dao, our Monster Clan Heavenly Court may have no choice but to take charge for the myriad beings, even if fellow Daoists are innocent, we must carry out suppression and killing.

This powerful being is extremely cautious, both inside and out.

"Rest assured, fellow Daoist," Shaoyang Di Jun's smile remained unchanged, "I know my limits."

The so-called rectification does not mean directly meddling with or interfering in the Demon Race Heavenly Court's rule over its subjects; of course, considering the interconnection of all things, some indirect influence is unavoidable—please, fellow Daoist, show more understanding and tolerance.

In Zixiao Palace, the sovereign faced the three thousand Great Luo cultivators with ease and openness, completely unconstrained.

The matter of teachings is closely related to the development of the Human Dao and the changes of the times; the better the teachings, the more they keep pace with the era.

Moreover, one must have foresight, be able to play a certain role in leading the era, fully unleash the initiative of myriad beings, create greater value for the Human Dao, rather than rigidly waiting for the Heavenly Court to direct work and promote the progress of the Honghuang cultivation civilization.

Shaoyang Di Jun said, "When it comes to the development and progress of civilization… I have some ideas."

Especially fellow Daoist Zhenyuan, this great talent, who once discussed the development of civilization with me in detail, has benefited me greatly.

After years of practice, I finally have a relatively mature idea, along with a semi-finished implementation plan.

The sovereign spoke at length, causing many fellow Great Luo cultivators to prick up their ears and listen attentively.

Cultivation civilization is also a civilization; as a civilization develops, what characteristics will it exhibit?

Without waiting for others to respond, Shaoyang spoke directly.

The more a civilization develops, the finer the division of labor becomes—at the very least, this holds true before one reaches the Great Luo ultimate realm, fully understands all laws and the Great Dao, and possesses infinite time and space.

And why is there a division of labor?

Because the vast multitude of Human Dao beings clearly recognize their own talents and potentials in every aspect, knowing where they excel, what they can do, and what they cannot, they begin to consciously focus on certain fields while abandoning others.

Let professionals handle professional matters; this is for maximizing benefits.

And what is the purpose of maximizing benefits?

To better and faster enhance one's own growth—whether it's increasing combat power or raising one's cultivation realm.

Ultimately, it's to improve one's own standard of living.

Those whose survival needs are met and who need not worry about lifespan limits begin to pursue better material conditions; beings whose material needs are satisfied then turn to seeking enjoyment in the spiritual world, such as being pursued and revered, and so on.

Shaoyang Di Jun paused here and said, "I have seen many cultivators under heaven who, to varying degrees, have admired the two characters 'carefree' (xiaoyao), and some even simply use it as their Dao name to express their inner aspirations and thoughts."

However, the vast majority of them lack the inclination to trace things to their source; they do not seek to understand this term deeply—although they bear the name 'carefree,' they neglect its true inner essence, constantly fighting and scrambling, busy every moment like headless flies, with no trace of carefreeness to be seen.

This is mistaking the direction, mistaking the goal, and complicating simple problems.

Actually, carefree is quite simple—it merely means resolving survival, material, and spiritual satisfaction.

Beings troubled by lifespan limits are not carefree; beings troubled by cultivation resources and unable to achieve financial freedom are not carefree; beings troubled by low status and lack of due respect are not carefree—conversely, if we resolve each of those pursuits one by one, we attain great freedom and great liberation.

This is the aspiration of the Human Dao, the beautiful dream of myriad beings, and an unchanging theme that pursues one era after another, spiraling forward.

Of course, realizing this theme cannot be achieved overnight; it requires the great development and prosperity of the entire cultivation civilization, as well as strict and clear heavenly rules and regulations to genuinely safeguard the interests of every Human Dao being.

This is not something I, a single great divine ability person, can accomplish—at most, I merely lend a hand here and there, offering a little help in the endeavor of teachings.

The sovereign held up two fingers, a gesture carrying a cold humor.

The Great Luo cultivators present all gave face with a chuckle, and more or less politely offered praise: "Sovereign, your vision is far-reaching, your concern for heaven and earth and all beings makes you a model for our generation."

"As I mentioned earlier, the issue of civilization's progress and division of labor is precisely the help I wish to lend in the realm of teachings," Shaoyang Di Jun continued, "These two actually have a certain mutually promoting relationship."

However, at present, although there is a division of labor, overall it remains rather crude and vague—most of it is based on the concept of clans, lacking sufficient specificity and detail, and it even overlooks individual variations within the whole.

This is the point I intend to address.

A finer division of labor in cultivation professions, precisely delineating various specialties to encompass all the needs of Human Dao development; we now begin to train specialized personnel in each field, scaling up to form combat units, discarding the old style of solitary, jack-of-all-trades cultivation—where one tries to handle many side jobs, neglecting that the essence of cultivation is to elevate one's life level, and wasting vast amounts of human and material resources.

I think this should be an important measure for the development of the Human Dao.

Only through specialization can one delve deeper, innovate more readily, make substantive progress in the advancement of civilization, and better solve practical problems.

There will be no case where a medicinal formula remains unchanged for millions of years, only to be discarded blindly when some ingredients go extinct—instead, there should be generation after generation of improvements, active exploration and research that keep pace with the times, rather than a predatory development model where predecessors merely chop down trees and leave descendants to eat dirt.

Shaoyang Di Jun waved his hand grandly, pointing to the Honghuang realm, bold and magnificent.

Of course, as one of the Great Luo cultivators listening to the lecture, Fengxi could not help but acknowledge—this sovereign's breadth of vision is still quite extraordinary.

Looking to all ages and laying foundations in the Honghuang realm means embracing the whole world in one's heart and designing a grand plan, rather than being a petty king who only cares for the present moment and seeks pleasure.

Only with great burdens and great ambitions can one achieve an unsurpassed great undertaking.

"These ideas have benefited from the enlightenment of fellow Daoist Zhenyuan; after that, I delved deeper and expanded my research, and I already had a draft in mind," Shaoyang Di Jun gestured with a smile to Zhenyuan Zi, and this great talent also returned the nod, saying, "The reason I only bring this up now in Zixiao Palace is……first

On the other hand, it is also the Immortal Dao Platform Model that I have been using for years to simulate and practice against it. Progress has been gratifying—after linking with Daoist Hongyun's Cloud Cultivation System, Daoist Zhenyuan's Earth Immortal Platform, and Daoist Kunpeng's Kunpeng Exchange Communication Platform, many cultivators have benefited over a long time, with no negative feedback so far… These materials prove that my proposal is feasible and can be widely promoted on a large scale.

Emperor Shaoyang stated that he is a mighty figure responsible for the Human Dao; whatever he undertakes involves thorough research, not a mere snap decision, but a well‑considered action.

Professional training can start the moment one embarks on the cultivation path…… It is both a skill for gathering future cultivation resources for all beings and a way for them to contribute to the advancement of the Human Dao, instead of a mere cycle of 'cultivation—slaughter—plunder—cultivation' that leaves everyone in the Primordial Heaven and Earth feeling unsafe and stalls civilization's progress.

He explained in detail the specialties he had devised: nine major disciplines—management, economics, law, education, philosophy, literature, science, engineering, and military studies—plus tens of thousands of sub‑specialties underneath, which barely suffice to meet the development needs of the Primordial cultivation civilization.

For example, alchemy and artifact forging, from basic theory to hands‑on practice, always belong to the domains of science and engineering.

Likewise, just as Daoist and Buddhist sects exchange ideas, debate various doctrines, and offer guidance on cultivators' practice…… Philosophy alone can address most of these needs.

Wait a moment.

Assign experts to expert tasks, giving all Human Dao beings in the Primordial Heaven and Earth a concrete division of labor—this is the foundation of Emperor Shaoyang's path to Sainthood.

If carried out, it would greatly benefit the Human Dao and be a major boon for the Demon Race of the current age.

This is a reinforcement.

Naturally, many Great Luo Heavenly Will beings will also benefit from this—the essence of Shaoyang is to guide the era's development through teaching and guidance.

So, how could a Saint faction that has grasped part of the right to interpret teachings not rise?

Especially, the twelve candidates for the Heavenly Dao Saint at present.

Hong Yun, Zhen Yuan, and Kun Peng run thriving businesses; each has industries, making money until their hands go soft.

Old Ancestor of the Nether River, a true titan of the legal system... Karmic Fire Red Lotus, Primordial Slaughter Avici, holding the final authority over all punishments.

The Dao Sect's Three Pure Ones and the Buddhist Sect's Two Patriarchs are the leaders of specialized education, and they also possess extremely high philosophical standing.

Calculating the Three Pure Ones Heavenly Lords' mastery of elixirs, artifacts, and formations, in Honghuang they are outstanding, they are top-tier engineering giants.

When academic specializations delve into the core of human doctrine, how could these great divine-ability wielders fear they cannot rise with the tide?

For a moment, in outsiders' eyes, even those Saint candidates who had a competitive relationship with the Lesser Yang Emperor looked at him with gentle gazes, evidently releasing goodwill.

Such 'wealth shared, all prosper together' co-beneficiaries, even if they are opponents, will still show respect.

Of course, some respect him, while others harbor doubts about him.

Several big shots from the core circle of the Demon Race stood up, inquiring and debating the degree of identification of Demon Race citizens under the new model, special wartime situations, and related system welfare benefits.

"The Demon Race venerates survival of the fittest, bloodline superiority is innate... Fellow Daoist Lesser Yang, your model is beneficial to the overall development of the Human Dao, but in this specific cognition, it may encounter obstacles."

"Especially, now is a period of wartime tension... part of the categories' benefits will inevitably be cut to make way for another part; how should the balance issue here be coordinated?"

"Also, welfare status..."

They raised questions, asking whether the Emperor's plan is sufficiently complete.

The Emperor casually said: "Concepts can be promoted and influential... just need time, need environment."

"As long as time is sufficient, environment in place, promotion coordinated, subtle influence can change the cognition of some stubborn Demon Race citizens."

"As for the distribution of professional benefits' weight? In this regard, as an outsider, I shouldn't meddle... I trust the Demon Race's high-level has its own procedures for governing the Heavenly Court, so I won't say more."

"And finally, the welfare status?"

"Of course, it is divided according to one's studied profession and respective skill levels, to obtain corresponding reasonable returns to enhance one's cultivation... Regarding this, I once discussed with Fellow Daoist Zhen Yuan, and there are some suggestions for Demon Race fellows to refer to."

The Lesser Yang Emperor looked at those Demon Race big shots, pondered slightly, then said: "Basically, it is to divide them into five major occupational categories, to face different work environments."

"Heaven! Earth! God! Person! Scatter!"

"Considering this originates from the immortal Dao foundation I personally established, adding the character 'immortal' to each of these five occupational categories yields the five types of immortals."

"Its direction is clear at a glance."

"Heaven... what is Heaven in the Honghuang cosmos?"

"Rule is Heaven, management is Heaven!"

"Responsible as an extension of Heaven, with outstanding ability, receiving official establishment, that is a Heavenly Immortal. Traveling between heavenly layers, working for the Great Luo, participating in the construction and management planning of the overall Human Dao, contributing a modicum of strength."

"Earth... represents production."

"Shouldering the vastness of the earth, the extraction and processing of various resources, with considerable operational management capability, that is an Earthly Immortal. Creating blessed lands, influenced by overall Human Dao demand, licensed operation, participating in the market, as a minor node in Honghuang resource allocation."

"God... represents authority."

"Delving into the Human Dao and conveying Heaven's will, being fair and just, that is a Divine Immortal. Maintaining the wholesome operation of the Human Dao, having supervisory and promotional duties."

"Person... represents oneself."

"This is the most basic and indispensable part of the Human Dao, the broadest and most basic labor unit. Human Immortals, mastering a certain depth of technique, although they cannot construct the blessed lands of Earth Immortals, they are an indispensable part of the Human Dao."

"Scatter... represents service."

"Going in and out of the Netherworld, crossing yin and yang, bearing the transport and transfer of materials, actively lubricating the whole Human Dao, that is a Wandering Immortal."

"Thus, the Heavenly, Earthly, Divine, Human, and Wandering Immortals five types, developing side by side, is my proposal for the construction of the Human Dao."
