Chapter 7
Unlike Zhongli's evaluation, in Tokyo of the Little Japan country in another world, Baki Yujiro watched as Xing swung a baseball bat, shaking his head in disappointment.
The purity is too low.
In the Tokugawa residence, Baki Yujiro and Miyamoto Musashi sat facing each other. Their match was interrupted by an anomaly in the sky, so they simply stopped, deciding first to see what would happen in the heavens.
At first, upon discovering that the light curtain was playing footage from another world, Baki Yujiro was very interested, especially when he saw Kafka displaying swordsmanship not inferior to Miyamoto Musashi's, and he immediately took an interest in this sensual, alluring woman.
It seems her beauty and sensuality are merely a disguise.
Only when seeing Kafka using spirit words to soothe Xing did she frown slightly with dissatisfaction.
"Her swordsmanship is indeed not bad, probably comparable to yours? This is an achievement earned through countless battles. It's a pity that in front of this girl she becomes soft." Baki Yujiro said regretfully, "It seems the girl called Xing is her weak point."
"Having the power to manipulate hearts, yet only using it to soothe..." Baki Yujiro snorted coldly, "Wanting Xing to join the Astral Express crew, there's no need to waste words with her."
Miyamoto Musashi thought for a moment, seemed intrigued, and smiled faintly: "Oh? Baki Yujiro, do you have a way to get Xing to join the Astral Express?"
"Very simple, just two words——" Baki Yujiro slowly extended two fingers.
Beatings.
"Pfft... cough cough cough." Tokugawa Mitsunari nearly choked to death on a mouthful of tea.
"Beatings?" Miyamoto Musashi's face instantly showed a bewildered expression; he repeatedly rubbed his chin, pondering the meaning behind Baki Yujiro's two words, but even after burning out his own CPU, he still didn't grasp what Baki Yujiro meant to convey.
"To have the Astral Express accept this girl named Xing, there is only one way: to order them to accept her."
Baki Yujiro's laughter sounded somewhat muffled: "Grab the heads of the unwilling Astral Express members, force them to accept that girl; if they refuse… beat them, keep beating them until they submit, then issue the command."
Baki Yujiro lightly rested his fingers on the tea table before him, seemingly casually snapping it with a light touch; the hard corner of the tea table shattered like crisp glass in his palm. He clenched his fist, hearing only a continual "shush-shush" from his palm, then slowly opened his hand; the hard wood block that had been in his hand a moment ago had already turned to powder.
"As long as you continually apply violence, even a god will submit to your will. If the opponent does not submit, it only shows you are not violent enough." Baki Yujiro was very satisfied with this explanation; he released his hand, and the wood chips fell like a waterfall from his palm.
"I understand… no wonder you're a man-eating demon." Miyamoto Musashi offhandedly complimented.
He watched the images on the light curtain intently, not wanting to miss a second. In his cautious view, the martial arts and magic-like abilities of the people from another world had already far surpassed his imagination; likely what the woman named Kafka displayed was merely the tip of the iceberg.
Miyamoto Musashi snorted coldly in his heart.
Ultimate violence can obtain everything.
Baki Yujiro… is it really that simple?
——
"The light curtain's view shifted, and March 7th and Xing had already arrived at the middle area of the rescue cabin; before them stood a huge elevator connecting all levels of the space station."
"\"Later we'll take that middle elevator down to the main control section; do you know the way there? \" March 7 looked toward the distant elevator, seeming to think of something, then examined Xing from head to toe, puzzled: \"By the way, that outfit you're wearing isn't the space station's uniform—are you really from here? \""
"Xing still shook her head in confusion: \"I don't know either. \""
"\"Amnesia is pretty serious. \" March 7 pursed her lips, feeling a bit down, but quickly perked up: \"Never mind, we won't ask anymore; let's go, first send you back. \""
"The two fought their way through obstacles all the way, finally reaching the elevator, but no matter how March 7 fiddled with the control panel, the elevator showed no sign of starting."
"\"Did you break it? \""
"\"It wasn't me! \" March 7 hastily pulled her hands away from the control panel, gesturing her innocence: \"It must be the Anti-Matter Legion's fault! If the omnipotent Professor Dan Heng were here, that would be great—he understands all sorts of obscure things; maybe he could fix the elevator! \"
"\"I don't know how to do this. \" Dan Heng suddenly appeared behind March 7 out of nowhere, startling both of them."
Dan Heng explained his route and also said he had found Alan's whereabouts; if they could meet up, they should be able to resolve the elevator trouble.
No delay, the three immediately turned toward the control room; fortunately Dan Heng's skills were sufficient, and along the way they wiped out all the drone soldiers, easily arriving at the control room and seeing Alan.
Alan is short in stature, with a head of white short hair; the most striking feature is a conspicuous scar on his dark skin.
"\"Are you together? \""
March 7 glanced at Dan Heng beside her and naturally replied: \"Yeah, we're both crew members of the Astral Express. \"
Dan Heng explained why the Astral Express crew had come to the space station, and by unfortunate coincidence they had just encountered an attack by the Anti-Matter Legion; after resolving Alan's doubts, everyone finally returned to the elevator issue.
"\"After the evacuation was completed, to prevent the Legion from attacking again, the elevator's access rights were temporarily locked. \" Alan seemed to recall something and asked: \"Stationmaster Asta entrusted you to find me; you should have been given a decryption key, right? \""
March 7 strained to look like she was racking her brain, her face betraying embarrassment: \"Um… I think I was given a card…\""
Dan Heng sighed helplessly: \"March…\""
"\"I don't remember where I put it. \" March looked aggrieved and pitiful."
Inazuma of Teyvat.
Yae Miko watched with interest as March 7 displayed a somewhat silly, cute expression.
Just as one would admire a nearby deity who is simple-minded like a country girl.
Really cute~
While holding a half-drunk bun milk in her hands and wiping her mouth, Shadow keenly felt Yae Miko's gaze.
Shadow gave a barely perceptible smile—although she was her own retainer, Yae Miko's gaze was not necessarily overly blatant.
Like a casual flick born of a whim, yet also like a long-held fervent stare.
Under the divine cherry tree, countless shrine maidens busied themselves cleaning the courtyard; from time to time glances fell upon herself—these looks were either reverent or admiring, but none were as frivolous as Yae Miko's, as if this deity could be bullied at will.
Come to think of it, she wouldn't think she's as silly as the March 7th in the light curtain, would she?
"\"Just as Shadow was lost in random thoughts, March 7 rummaged around and finally found the key, unlocking the elevator's access. \""
A few people turned a corner and reached the elevator entrance; along the way they encountered no notable foes, but just as they were about to arrive at their destination, a sharp tearing sound came from behind—a spear shot like an arrow from a bow toward them; fortunately Dan Heng had quick eyes and hands, deflecting the fierce thrust with his gun barrel.
Only a centaur-like drone soldier stood before them, radiating menace as it prepared to slaughter the group.
"\"Lady Frieren, look—it seems a formidable monster has finally appeared. \" Halturk shook Frieren's shoulder, his eyes fixed unblinkingly on the light curtain where the battle was about to unfold."
Tall in stature, agile in movement, and also possessing long-range attack capability.
Such a monster, placed in their world, would be considered a quite formidable opponent even among demons.
"\"Halturk, if you were to face this monster, what would you do? \" Frieren turned her head to ask him."
"\"Hmm…\" Halturk began to think seriously; as a warrior of the adventuring party, he would eventually encounter a demon no weaker than that centaur-like creature."
"\"I would probably employ various martial arts to close in, then seize the opportunity to look for its weaknesses; this monster is very agile… perhaps I'd need to find a way to strike its head or limbs…\""
Just as Halturk was earnestly analyzing, the people in the light curtain had already begun to act.
""Rules are meant to be broken.""
After uttering a meaningless statement, Star's metal bat was covered with a layer of blue light. Dan Heng ahead of him had not yet reacted, when Star rushed forward, never mind the details, and first gave the trampler a blow to the head with his bat.
