Chapter 446

March 7: "So... maybe It was It that defined the concepts of good and evil?"

Stelle: "If that's truly the case, then Order still has quite the prestige."

Stelle: "I just wonder how such an ancient god met its end."

Furina: "Could it be that It met the same fate as the Insect Emperor?"

Furina: "After all, a god of such power wouldn't die so easily, would it?"

Furina: "So I think It was probably beaten to death by a mob."

Hu Tao: "The Star Gods have long suffered under Order."

Hu Tao: "So the Star Gods seized the perfect opportunity and struck Order's Star God a crushing blow."

Hu Tao: "And then Order was gone."

Zhong Li: "Heh, the director's words are vivid and amusing."

Zhong Li: "I find them quite reasonable."

Zhong Li: "Across this universe, no Star God has ever truly imposed their own law above all things."

Zhong Li: "Order's fall may well have been due to violating this taboo..."

The video continues.

【Look, another frame...】

After walking a while,

March 7 spotted another frame.

And stepped into it first.

Stelle and Himeko followed closely behind.

【Prologue Act II: Ode to the Foolish Servant】

The announcer's voice rang out as before.

【Ode to the Foolish Servant... This must be the second act.】

Himeko listened to the announcer, lost in thought.

【The environment is different from before.】

【The surroundings... seem neater somehow?】

March 7 said after observing the utterly different surroundings.

【The coming story revolves around power struggles.】

【The seven houses—Tree, Grass, Flower, Bird, Beast, Fruit, and Insect—were all established in Penacony.】

【Peace never truly came to the Exiled Land.】

【This history is tangled and too complex; allow me to present it to you through allegory.】

Paimon: "Tree, Grass, Flower, Bird, Beast, Fruit, Insect??"

Paimon: "What kind of houses are these?"

Paimon: "It's making my head spin."

Stelle: "I know, I know!"

Stelle: "These refer to the Oak, Alfalfa, Iris, Noctowl, Hound, and Moth houses!"

March 7: "Then what about Fruit?"

March 7: "Did you eat the Fruit?"

Stelle: "Exactly, the Fruit was eaten by me!"

Stelle: "So I don't know."

Furina: "Then which house is this Fruit?"

Sunday: "It's the Plumhouse... a house long extinct, destroyed by conspiracy and vanished into history..."

Hu Tao: "Sounds like... this house hides some painful past."

Brother Dan Heng: "Likely a casualty of the power struggle."

Brother Dan Heng: "I just wonder what role this house once played..."

The video continues.

【Order in the Exiled Land was chaotic, with internal strife and external threats looming.】

【Though the seven houses appeared unified, each governed itself and was locked in constant conflict.】

After Sunday finished speaking,

It was the puppet's turn.

【Welcome to this mansion, foreign guest.】

【Its founder has been driven out by servants.】

【And the seven servants all believe they can replace the former master.】

Stelle: "Is the founder here referring to the Company?"

Stelle: "Or perhaps Hanunu and Mikhail and others?"

March 7: "Hard to say—could be any of them."

Furina: "Fighting for power, all wanting to be master."

Furina: "So this was how the original houses were?"

Black Swan: "Rather, this is the most natural expression of human nature..."

The video continues.

【The Plumhouse was the first to withdraw from the civil war, vanishing forever during the White Desert incident orchestrated by the Alfalfa House.】

The three walked up to a puppet lying on the ground,

and Sunday's voice rang out once more.

Immediately,

words began to appear beside the puppet.

【We once swore an oath to stand united, never to betray one another!】

【Why did you kill me?】

After these words appeared,

another puppet, posed as if attacking, began to show words of its own.

【Because Master shaped you from clay, and shaped me from raging fire.】

【I am nobler than you!】

Stelle: "What a fine display of kinsmen turning on each other!"

Stelle: "From the looks of it, the Black Bramble lineage hadn't even figured out what was happening before the treacherous Clover lineage wiped them out."

Stelle: "What unlucky fools."

March 7th: "That was an entire lineage's worth of lives!"

March 7th: "The Clover lineage just struck without the slightest mercy?"

March 7th: "Oh my god, they're completely, utterly mad with the lust for power!"

Furina: "Simply without any bottom line."

Furina: "To even spout that 'I am nobler than you' line."

Furina: "I cannot comprehend it!"

Dr. Ratio: "The ugliness of human nature is on full, naked display in this moment."

Dr. Ratio: "For that illusory, ungraspable power, so-called bonds of alliance... heh... aren't worth a single cent."

Himeko: "At this point... these lineages shouldn't have joined the Harmony family yet, should they?"
