Chapter 378: A Letter to the Readers
A Letter to the Readers
A Letter to the Readers
Hello to all my dear readers; it has been a long time since I last did a summary.
The main reason is that for over a month now, I have only been able to maintain a frequency of four thousand words per single update, and I am truly ashamed.
However, some friends in the reader group might know that it is not that I do not want to write, but that this humble author has fallen ill.
The author is 36 years old this year, my zodiac year, and the year has been unfavorable.
I have maintained a weight of 160 jin for ten years, but in the few months I have been writing this novel, I have not paid attention to weight management.
It wasn't until last month that I accidentally weighed myself and found I had lost nearly 20 jin; I was terrified! Truly!
My first reaction was: could it be diabetes? Because I have had relatives pass away from this, I was truly panicked, so I immediately arranged for a check-up.
After all, I am only 36 years old, and my child is not even 8 years old yet; I was truly panicked!
How should I put it? The results were not good, but they were not bad either.
My fasting blood sugar is normal, but my postprandial blood sugar is on the high side; the doctor only told me to control my diet and continue observing, but another problem was discovered.
Gastric erosion and bile reflux gastritis.
The symptoms are that after eating, excessive bile secretion causes a burning sensation in the stomach, and the pain generally lasts for 4-6 hours.
It is truly uncomfortable! Coupled with the doctor's advice that because my blood sugar is high, I must have a bland diet and eat less porridge, steamed buns, noodles, and the like. But for the stomach condition, the doctor told me to eat exactly those things.
This is really something!
So, apart from picking up and dropping off my child from school every day, cooking for my child, and tutoring my child with homework, the author now also has to consider what I can eat myself, which really takes up a lot of time.
Additionally, psychological factors are also a major problem; I bought a blood pressure monitor, and every time before using it, I have a struggle between heaven and man in my heart, which is truly a bit of a torture.
Therefore, for the updates during this period, I can only say sorry to everyone.
I am lucky; because of the medication and self-control over the past month or so, the stomach condition has improved significantly and basically hasn't hurt much anymore, but this thing is a ticking time bomb, so I cannot guarantee anything.
As for blood sugar, I still need to continue monitoring, but at least the anxiety in my heart has lessened a lot.
So, moving forward, I should be able to gradually resume updates, and I ask everyone to continue supporting me; thank you! Thank you!
Thank you!
May 13th, Shijiujushi, respectfully yours! (End of chapter)
