Chapter 320: Gentle and Virtuous

~6 min read 1,184 words

The script reading took only a few hours a day, roughly just a morning, and continued the next day.

They only did two days of script reading, then moved on to preparation for filming—all equipment and crew were already ready.

After the script reading, Liu Tianxian went out to dinner with the main creators, then brought the food up to the 18th floor and saw Fang Hong staring at his laptop.

"You stare at that computer all day—don't your eyes get tired?" Liu Tianxian walked over, placed the food on the desk, and looked at the information displayed on his laptop.

"Tired? What can I do? I still have to look." Fang Hong pulled the takeout food closer and began eating.

The hotel food was perfectly colored, fragrant, and delicious.

"If you're tired, rest more—look into the distance, don't ruin your eyes," Liu Tianxian said.

Fang Hong nodded, waved his hand, and opened a video: "Look at this."

"What?!"

Liu Tianxian looked at the laptop—it was an aerial video of a Villa, surrounded by greenery, looking extremely luxurious.

Then came the interior—the Villa was gilded and magnificent.

"This is Yu Xian's Villa—he sent it to me to show off," Fang Hong looked up and said.

"That must've cost a fortune," Liu Tianxian stared at him.

"Fifty million dollars—bought on loan, thirty million on credit. Isn't that extravagant?" Fang Hong held up three fingers.

"What's he thinking?" Liu Tianxian didn't understand.

"Just showing off—that's all he's thinking," Fang Hong said.

"I can't get it."

Liu Tianxian shook her head, then added: "Hey, do all men love showing off, love flaunting?"

"I don't. I'm more low-key," Fang Hong shook his head, even convincing himself.

"Liar—you're the one who loves showing off the most," Liu Tianxian slapped his shoulder, not believing a word.

Fang Hong pushed the food slightly aside: "Feed me—I'm filming a video."

"Eat it yourself—you need me to feed you? You've got hands," Liu Tianxian rolled her eyes.

"I'm sending a video to Yu Xian—Xiao Feifei, please help me," Fang Hong clasped his hands together.

Hearing that, Liu Tianxian instantly understood—he was going to show off.

"Fine, since you look so pitiful," Liu Tianxian giggled, finding it amusing.

Fang Hong pulled out his phone, raised it high, opened his mouth, and signaled she could begin.

Liu Tianxian pulled up a chair beside him, scooped up a spoonful of food, and fed it into his mouth.

"Pfft!"

Fang Hong spat it out immediately, annoyed: "Do you want to burn me alive?!"

"Fine, eat it or not," Liu Tianxian tossed the spoon into the bowl and refused to serve him anymore—spoiled brat.

"Don't be mad, don't be mad—we're filming," Fang Hong soothed.

"Is this how you film?" Liu Tianxian said.

"Short videos need brief, dramatic entertainment—you play a gentle, virtuous wife," Fang Hong said.

Hearing it was acting, Liu Tianxian thought for a moment, pointed a finger at him: "Are you trying to take advantage of me?"

"I'm not," Fang Hong denied.

Liu Tianxian tapped his head: "Alright, fine—I'll play along with you once."

Mainly because this man had no friends, just one friend who loved showing off.

She got into character, started over, gently blew on the food, and brought it to his lips: "Here, eat."

Fang Hong opened his mouth, swallowed it, then spat it out again, smugly: "It's so hot—you trying to burn me alive?"

He slammed the table hard.

"I blew on it—it's not hot," Liu Tianxian acted like a gentle wife, looking wounded, holding back her anger.

"You're talking back now?" Fang Hong acted like a furious husband, raising his hand as if to strike.

"I'll get you a new, cooler portion," Liu Tianxian shrank back—this man was pushing his luck, even thinking of hitting her.

But Fang Hong didn't hit her—he knew she'd explode if he did. "What am I supposed to eat? Do you want to starve me?" Fang Hong grumbled.

"Then what should I do?!" Liu Tianxian looked pitiful.

"No choice—I'll have to cool it down with your mouth," Fang Hong said.

"Get lost! How disgusting!"

Liu Tianxian tossed the spoon down and refused to play anymore—he was getting too bold.

"You keep thinking this is acting—you need to fully immerse yourself," Fang Hong stopped filming, speaking with authority.

This made Liu Tianxian unhappy—she slapped him: "Immerse yourself? You're just showing off."

Fang Hong transferred the video to his laptop, edited it slightly, and played it back, murmuring in admiration: "Look how well you acted—perfect virtuous wife."

"It doesn't look like acting—it's real," Liu Tianxian laughed softly.

Just moments ago she was ready to yell and hit him—now she had zero shame.

They played around, and Fang Hong sent the video to Yu Xian with the caption: "Look how gentle my wife is."

Yu Xian received it quickly, looked at his phone, and fumed: "Damn, treating the goddess like this."

He sent a message: "Can't you be nicer to the goddess?"

Fang Hong received it, Liu Tianxian saw it too, and they both burst into silent laughter, teaming up to tease him.

"Look how concerned he is for me—you don't even care," Liu Tianxian looked at the message.

"He's a scumbag—do you believe him?"

Fang Hong sent Yu Xian a message, domineeringly writing: "My woman, she can do whatever she wants."

Seeing this message, Liu Tianxian tapped him on the shoulder.

"I just sent it for fun—I didn't really mean it," Fang Hong explained.

Liu Tianxian took the opportunity to ask, "Then what do you really think?"

"Deep down, you're three-quarters of my life," Fang Hong coaxed.

Liu Tianxian smiled sweetly and placed her hand on his shoulder.

But Yu Xian didn't reply—maybe he was upset, or maybe he knew Fang Hong was showing off and refused to give him an opening.

Seeing that side didn't reply, the two found it rather dull.

Fang Hong finished eating, tossed the food box into the trash. It was noon; the entire company was on break.

Still, the two kept chatting, laughter breaking out now and then—as if just casually talking made Liu Tianxian happy, her sense of humor lowered.

"I'll tell you, I can judge your personality just by asking questions. Do you believe me?" Fang Hong turned to look at Liu Tianxian beside him.

"No," Liu Tianxian shook her head.

Fang Hong said seriously, "Then tell me what color your underwear is right now."

"Go to hell, I'm not telling," Liu Tianxian slapped his leg.

"Cautious type, right?" Fang Hong said.

"You're too sneaky—ask something else," Liu Tianxian said.

"Avoidant type," Fang Hong chuckled.

Liu Tianxian was left speechless by him: "I'm not wearing any."

"Holy shit, you're a repressed type! I like it," Fang Hong grinned mischievously.

"Repressed? You're dreaming. Let me see yours."

Liu Tianxian, thoroughly amused, wanted to turn the tables—she reached out to grab his belt: "Let me see what kind of underwear you're wearing!"

"You're a pervert type!"

Sorry for these past two days—I'll resume normal update volume tomorrow. I don't remember how much I owe, but I'll make it up.
