Chapter 457

~10 min read 1,843 words

Even though Fang Hong has always pursued what he calls strength, Liu Tianxian has always said to live life well and make it enjoyable.

As long as life is enjoyable, life itself is happy; pursuing those things isn't wrong, but don't let yourself become unhappy.

So Liu Tianxian has constantly urged Fang Hong to live life well, again and again.

The auditorium's applause never ceased, rising and falling, as students clapped vigorously, their eyes burning with passion—this moment, Liu Tianxian had transcended in their eyes.

She became a true, spiritually powerful goddess.

No longer confined to her physical form, but worshipped and fanned on a spiritual level.

After bowing to the students present, Liu Tianxian did not rise immediately, but waited a moment before standing.

The venue erupted in roaring laughter, applause, and teasing cheers—a scene of pure joy.

She was far away, saw many people in the crowd, couldn't clearly make out who was who, so she pointed at random.

The shy boy bowed in thanks, then sat down.

They couldn't let Liu Tianxian leave—next time she wouldn't finish her talk! A shy boy stood up, his face flushed, took the microphone, and exclaimed excitedly: "Sister Yifei, Goddess, I'm your diehard fan."

The hardest thing for an actor is making the audience resonate with you, touching them—take my recent film "Bouquet" as an example.

"Let's sit down and chat now—your junior and senior classmates may have some questions for you." The female student, playing the host, said.

Liu Tianxian was truly kind, repeatedly emphasizing that the girl asking the question must take her major seriously, never neglect life.

"Oh, you know you weren't serious just now."

This answer was perfectly ordinary; another female student stood and asked: "Sister Yifei, hello, I'm from Tsinghua Medical School. Right now, many people are under heavy pressure, focusing only on what achievements you've gained, never on what you've gained in life. I'd like to ask, as someone like me who's lost, what advice do you have?"

"Hehehe!"

But there were still quite a few such individuals.

"It shows you're focused—that's very polite, and it gives me great comfort. When I watched my own films in theaters, I once saw people yawning. Today is better—thank you, thank you."

"I think you should still focus on your major—your field is too specialized, requires extreme care. My speech may not suit you."

Liu Tianxian couldn't help laughing, but still maintained composure.

She shared her insights, her experiences, her thoughts as fully as possible, holding nothing back.

The moment this student spoke, the female host teased him.

The audience listened intently, precisely because every question the students asked, Liu Tianxian answered seriously.

So many things have no outcome—they're just experiences.

The students here showed her ample respect from the start, and she must give them ample gratitude.

The students also smiled—Liu Tianxian was truly honest, utterly unpretentious.

"I think your dad changed it right—Tsinghua isn't for just anyone, but Beijing Film Academy? Someone like me is fine." Liu Tianxian couldn't help laughing with her hand over her mouth.

"But Goddess, what if I can't be your little sweetheart anymore?" The boy confessed, his face crimson with shyness.

The auditorium erupted in teasing shouts; some students wore knowing smirks, others smiled expectantly. This wasn't just their concern—it was many people's question.

"I think a person is multifaceted, and possibilities are multifaceted—you must have the courage to pursue more possibilities. Also, if you hear too much of this before forming your own personality, you might easily be swept away." Liu Tianxian said.

In truth, the female lead had a clear understanding of love—she pursued pure emotional experience, not marriage or other forms of commitment.

Actually, she hadn't expected so many to come, so she hadn't prepared well; since it had started, she'd just go with it.

"That's a mistaken mindset—an actor is inherently passive, unable to predict or estimate anything. Any screenwriter, any original work, begins as just an idea, then gradually clarifies it, then becomes more detailed—same for actors."

When she said this, the students laughed—their personalities were truly nice.

Liu Tianxian raised her hand to check the time and smiled: "You even understand entertainment jargon."

She meant the girl used the wrong term—what's this "flipping cards" nonsense? Liu Tianxian wasn't selecting concubines.

"Sister Yifei, don't give her such hope," the female host beside her said.

If you chase only results, there truly are no results—and the actor's role in the creative process is the most exhilarating; for me, it's emptying the mind, just thinking how to portray the character well.

The female host beside her signaled a girl.

Actually, this era is the best for us actors—we can read others' lives online, on TV, and feel their experiences.

She was serious and kind to everyone!

The moment this person spoke, the entire hall burst into laughter, chaotic and noisy, no longer quiet as before.

"That boy over there!" Liu Tianxian pointed.

So this field is extremely cruel—only a few endure long-term, especially women like us, who get phased out at a certain age, all while facing challenges from every direction.

"Your questions should be simple—I'm afraid I won't be able to answer them." Liu Tianxian smiled.

"Titles? It doesn't matter whether I accept them or not—if someone wants to call me that, fine, I accept all of them."

"This is very precious for us actors," Liu Tianxian paused, then added: "But I personally dislike labels—once stuck on, if I want to remove them, I have to peel them off."

Only after the applause slowly faded did she straighten up.

When Liu Tianxian said this, the audience burst into warm applause, their faces relaxed.

"Tsinghua—next door," Liu Tianxian said.

At that moment, another student stood to ask: "I have a question—I'm not sure if I should ask it. During your speech, you mentioned the Principal multiple times—are you close to him? What kind of closeness? Could you elaborate?"

"I'm a first-year student in Hydraulic Engineering Department. I love your films—they've given me warmth, motivation, and deep reflection. I originally planned to apply to Beijing Film Academy because I wanted to be at the same school as you, but when I filled out my application, my dad deleted a few characters and changed it to Peking University."

"Thank you, Sister Yifei—please have some water," a female university student held the microphone and brought forward a white ceramic cup, handing it to Liu Tianxian.

Liu Tianxian took it, facing the students: "Before I came, I thought fifteen minutes would be enough—but when I picked up the microphone and faced you, I couldn't help speaking much more."

"Sister Yifei, pick—who do you want to answer?" the female host said.

All these years, if I hadn't endured the hardships of the entertainment industry, hadn't faced its cruelty, I wouldn't be who I am today.

You're studying medicine—there's no need to pressure yourself so hard just because you haven't produced results yet. Don't do that.

Liu Tianxian thought for a moment, adjusted her posture, then spoke again: "Don't be chaotic in life—always give yourself space to discover, don't define yourself—like saying 'since I'm not acting well now, I'm nothing.' That's not true."

This is just my personal view—you're studying medicine, you still must be serious—so many lives and health are in your hands; your responsibility is heavy.

This made the students laugh, and even Liu Tianxian couldn't hold back, pausing to smile: "Classmate, love has its own destiny!"

"You go ahead and pick, I won't pick." Liu Tianxian handed the initiative to choose the next questioner to the female host.

"Hahaha!" Laughter erupted in the venue.

"Thank you!"

The female host sat down beside her and said: "Dear students here, if you have questions, raise your hands to signal our staff—we'll bring you the microphone. Let Yifei pick the name card."

Another boy stood up and asked: "I'd like to ask Yifei— I feel your acting has improved. How do you maintain such a good state while performing? And will you ever act aiming for awards?"

"That's exactly what I just said—the entertainment industry is extremely cruel; it eliminates people. Many familiar faces you once saw are now gone. Every year, countless people leave this field for other careers."

The girl stood up and asked: "I'm from the Engineering Department. Yifei, so many people call you 'Immortal Sister'—do you accept this title? Or do you resent being labeled this way?"

Just because Liu Tianxian spoke lightly, even when people yawned because the movie was bad, she could face it calmly.

The girl thanked her and sat down.

Liu Tianxian smiled shyly and said again: "I'll keep this question under wraps for now—give me some space. When the time comes, I'll tell everyone. On that day, please don't be shocked, don't be lost, don't make noise—just be quiet."

"Let me ask a serious question..."

The girl covered her mouth and giggled, embarrassed by Liu Tianxian's words.

Many people in the audience had raised their hands—though not everyone; by the venue's size, only a few raised theirs sporadically.

"Ooooh!"

"Clap clap clap!"

The female lead is someone who pursues pure love and values personal growth and self-actualization. She meets the male lead, and the two quickly fall in love over shared interests and passions. As time passes, their lives and values change, and they ultimately choose to break up.

This was naturally a compliment to Peking University, not a slight to Beijing Film Academy, since she compared herself to them.

"Auditors," added the female host.

Two male students carried two chairs onto the stage.

"At first I thought a lot, but now I don't think so much anymore. I adjust my state to a calm, steady one, letting myself focus without distraction." Liu Tianxian replied.

"Your Peking University students really know how to ask questions—you've stumped me."

"Clap clap clap!" Applause broke out in the venue.

The students laughed, and Liu Tianxian chuckled, rubbing her forehead.

The two chairs sat side by side; after sitting, Liu Tianxian folded her legs together and leaned slightly to one side, appearing very composed.

Don't believe others' definitions either—this isn't aloofness; it's simply that a person should have choices. Whatever you choose, you'll receive.

"Thank you for taking time, staring with wide eyes to watch me."

The audience laughed again—the atmosphere was lively, completely different from during her speech. The boy blushed slightly, expressed his admiration for Liu Tianxian, then asked seriously: "Yifei, I think your thinking is very mature, yet your heart remains very young. How do you keep this passion for life?"

"Hahaha!"

This essentially admitted she was dating the Principal—she just needed the right moment to announce it.

In her heart, when she truly marries, she will announce to the whole world that she has married someone.

Only at the final moment, when everything is settled, will she speak it.

The students in the audience were smart; seeing her expression and hearing her words, they all confirmed it—she just hadn't planned to announce it publicly yet.
