Chapter 62: Open Your Eyes and Look Closely
Now that everyone else's scenes are done, Shu Chang still needs to reshot a few shots—just a handful, nothing much.
These shots were already half-filmed, but when Yang Zi suddenly caused that incident, everything was deleted.
Fang Hong doesn't coddle at all—it's just a matter of spending a bit more money, no big deal!
Anything that can be solved with money isn't a problem at all!
In a café, a terrace was cleared for the crew to use, and the staff briefly set up the scene.
"Miss Shu, your tone needs to be sweet and nasal—like that coquettish, flirtatious pouty voice, okay?" Fang Hong coached Shu Chang.
"I'll try," Shu Chang nodded.
She had always acted in TV dramas; film opportunities were rare, and her performance style wasn't certain.
Liu Tianxian tapped Fang Hong on the shoulder: "You're the director—why not demonstrate it yourself?"
Earlier, this man had demonstrated everything for her, but now he refused.
"A big guy like me showing off feminine postures? How embarrassing," Fang Hong said.
"You weren't like this before."
Liu Tianxian, perhaps seeing a good friend, was in high spirits and cheerfully said: "Come on, show Changchang how it's done—she doesn't know how."
She was just feeling playful, curious to see what this man looked like acting feminine.
She was extremely curious!
Shuchang and Pan Yueming smiled beside them; their relationship wasn't close enough to joke like that.
"You're the one who wants to see it!" Fang Hong said.
"Yes, so what now? You're the director—it's your duty, isn't it?"
Liu Tianxian's logic was sound; she playfully tugged his arm: "Come on, let's see you act like a woman."
Fang Hong couldn't refuse—fine, let them all have their fun: "Then you play Pan Yueming's role, and I'll play Shu Chang's."
"Okay!"
Liu Tianxian happily adjusted her stance—legs slightly apart, aura turning dominant.
Even if she acted dominant, she was still a woman!
"A girl like this must show softness—in every step, every posture."
Fang Hong explained the key points, one hand linked with Liu Tianxian's, the other pretending to carry a bag, as they walked forward.
Liu Tianxian held her head high, chest out, like a wealthy man taking his dainty wife out.
Fang Hong, meanwhile, moved with exaggerated delicacy, posing artificially, strutting like a cat, hips swaying—making the crew around them burst into laughter.
Liu Tianxian saw it too, but pressed her lips together, barely holding back her laughter—after all, this man had never laughed at her before.
She was a professional actress!
"I can't eat shellfish—not even look at them! Just seeing them gives me allergies, little red spots all over my skin, really serious!"
Fang Hong delivered the line with a nasal, squeaky tone, his feminine postures making him look wildly alluring.
Someone nearby couldn't hold it anymore—"Hahaha!"—and Yu Xian laughed the loudest, opening his camera to record this segment.
Just before wrap, the Principal pulled this stunt on them.
But seeing the Principal like this made him feel more alive—he wasn't just a workaholic; he had his own sense of fun.
Shu Chang and Pan Yueming were fine—they were professionals, only barely stifling "hehehe."
Liu Tianxian, beside them, also broke—"Giggle-giggle-giggle!"—laughing so loudly her voice sounded like a duck's, utterly destroying her fairy image.
She laughed until her stomach hurt, bending over: "No more, no more!"
"Where's your idol image?"
They stepped out of character; Fang Hong held her shoulders, fearing she'd laugh herself into a spasm.
"I can't help it, giggle-giggle-giggle!" Liu Tianxian waved her hand.
Her laugh threshold was so low—Fang Hong didn't feel the slightest urge to laugh.
He'd only meant to lighten the mood, let everyone relax.
Intense work made him seem cold and distant; this helped bridge the gap between him and everyone else.
After a while, the laughter gradually faded; everyone was exhausted from laughing.
Liu Tianxian recovered, still clutching her stomach: "Didn't realize you were this fun."
"There's plenty you haven't noticed yet—next time, open your eyes wide and look carefully," Fang Hong said.
Liu Tianxian gave him a massive side-eye—meaning, "You think I'm blind?"
The crew's merriment was just a brief interlude—they prepared to resume filming.
Fang Hong instructed Shu Chang: "You don't need to be as exaggerated as I just was—just hint at that feeling, lightly."
"Understood, Director," Shu Chang agreed—it had indeed been too over-the-top.
Begin filming!
Pan Yueming and Shuchang, Fang Hong and Liu Tianxian—four of them sat facing each other.
"So, is meeting here to discuss it because you plan to hold the wedding here?" Liu Tianxian delivered her line.
"No no, you don't know—this club's afternoon tea is amazing. Whenever I have time, I absolutely come here..."
"Puhahaha."
Liu Tianxian, hearing Shu Chang's tone, couldn't hold back and burst out laughing.
Fang Hong beside her said: "Is it really that funny?"
"Sorry, sorry."
Liu Tianxian waved her hand—thinking of Fang Hong's earlier ridiculous act, she broke again.
She told Shu Chang: "Changchang, I'm not laughing at you—don't take it personally."
"It's fine, laugh all you want." Shu Chang didn't care.
"Look, this is what a true sister looks like—unlike you, you scold me just for laughing." Liu Tianxian said to Fang Hong.
Fang Hong ignored her and signaled to shoot again.
After that, Liu Tianxian no longer dared to laugh repeatedly; she collected her emotions and took the acting seriously.
After all, delaying even a little meant wasting the time and energy of so many people, and the budget was burning away.
Shu Chang's scenes were finished in a few days; Pan Yueming had no complaints and stayed through the entire shoot, because some of his scenes had been filmed twice.
He filmed them once with Yang Zi and once with Shu Chang, but he didn't earn extra pay.
That guy really was quite decent.
As they left, Fang Hong said to Pan Yueming, "Thank you for helping out this time."
"Don't mention it. You and Chen Zhixi are partners; I'm friends with her—it's only natural to help each other." Pan Yueming said.
"Alright, then, goodbye."
The two shook hands.
Fang Hong didn't know how to tell this man about his wife's situation—such a thing was truly impossible to bring up.
If he said it outright, the man would probably beat him up; defaming his wife would destroy all the goodwill they'd built, and right now, they were still very much in love.
How to describe Pan Yueming? He was a very dull man, clueless about romance. Little Fairy needed to be cherished, to be treated like a treasure, constantly spoiled with romance.
But marriage is inherently plain and ordinary—firewood, rice, oil, salt—where's the room for so much passion?
All one can say is they married in a moment of madness, both immature.
"33 Days of Breakup" continued filming until mid-October, nearly a month and a half.
It should have wrapped up much earlier, but Yang Zi's incident caused delays from reshoots.
Added to that, Liu Tianxian's acting was slow and dragging, so it took this long.
Xiao Feifei, check your measurements!
This month and a half brought both joy and hardship, and now it was time for the shoot to wrap.
Please vote for us, thank you!!!
