Chapter 63: Release Statement

~4 min read 608 words

Hello everyone, I am Ai Kaichacha.

A full-time author with nine years of industry experience.

Since debuting in 2015, I have been through several websites; from publishing books on Qidian Chinese Network in 2016 to leaving Qidian Chinese Network in 2019, and then returning here in 2024, this is the story of a little butterfly traveling through five years.

To be honest, those years were truly the golden age of web novels, with countless excellent authors emerging one after another; theoretically, I am an author who was phased out, and although I had decent results, hovering around the boutique line, the income for authors in that era was relatively low due to the prevalence of piracy.

Back then, we were poor but happy, freely splashing the skies we had imagined, and both readers and authors had endless passion for this fertile soil.

Some of my old readers have already started families, graduated, or stepped into society.

Gradually, they no longer appear in the reader groups, having lives of their own.

Sometimes I also sigh that the youth is no longer young, and one only realizes they have slept after waking up.

Unknowingly, I have reached the time for a new book to be released.

First of all, I would like to thank my operations team, thank the operations officer Ye Huo, and thank the pitiful Xixi for introducing such an excellent operations officer to me.

Honestly, I did not expect to encounter such great pressure after returning to Qidian to write books; just thirty days after opening the book, I hung at the top of the new book list for over ten days, and then I was attacked by the masses, with the book review section being a "dance of demons" every day, to the point where many readers gave me feedback, and even the editor could not stand it, telling me to tidy up the book reviews properly to avoid affecting the reading experience of other readers.

It is Ye Huo who has been helping me clean up this mess.

Secondly, I especially thank my editor Galaxy.

During a period of confusion, it was Galaxy who approached me and asked if I was willing to open a book under his guidance.

It was precisely because of Galaxy's strong support and escort along the way, clearing obstacles like a blade-wielding guard, and under the protection of various recommendations, that I was able to break out from the heavy encirclement.

It can be said that without Galaxy approaching me, this book might not exist.

Because my previous old website offered me a very high buyout price based on my past historical performance, if it weren't for Galaxy's full support, I might have chosen stability; after all, we are all adults, and everyone has to make a living.

Fortunately, although the results of this book are not particularly good, they are passable, so the problem of putting food on the table should not be big.

It is just that the release time is very unfortunate, as it happens to be the time when traffic plummets during the Chinese New Year; as for me... after returning to Qidian, I am indeed walking on thin ice, fearful and trembling, not knowing what the final results of the book will be.

So I am still posting a release statement, hoping that all book friends can click for a first subscription on the release chapter published at midnight.

As for whether there is any further pursuit?

There really is.

That is to wish all the vast number of book friends all the best and good health in the new year.
