Chapter 132: High-Risk Anomalous Creatures

~6 min read 1,174 words

Werewolf.

Vampire.

Two groups that should have hated each other to the death, an immortal feuding race, have now, due to a common goal, ended a war that lasted hundreds of years, temporarily shaking hands and making peace, choosing to ally.

And on the western outskirts of the castle.

Two vampires, dressed in windbreakers and tightly wrapped, patrolled the forest with firearms.

The vampire family's businesses are many, funds are plentiful, hierarchy is strict, and division of labor is clear.

Like these two vampires responsible for combat and guard duty, they have received unified military training, and they still use the expensive SG550 firearms, with silver bullets loaded in their magazines.

It seems that vampires are far superior to the "mishmash" werewolves in every aspect, and silver can also inflict lethal damage on werewolves.

But the werewolves number about three times that of the vampires, and they can freely walk in sunlight.

Each side has its own strengths and weaknesses.

Now, the combined forces of the two complementary races appear to have an unstoppable stance against any threat.

"I've lived two hundred years, fought werewolves for over a hundred and sixty years, never expected to cooperate with them—truly unpredictable."

"Yeah, I didn't expect it either. If not for my god's smooth descent, I'd rather die than cooperate with that bunch of dogs."

The two vampires exchanged their sentiments.

"Alas." The one on the left, feeling somewhat sorrowful, shook their head and sighed: "Saina is truly a pity."

"What's there to pity." The one on the right immediately said: "She likes human children; you have no chance."

"I know." The one on the left also said: "But does my lord really need to be this cautious? Must the ceremony be held in advance?"

"The werewolf unit that ambushed Saina was wiped out; we don't even know if Saina is dead or alive. My lord suspects Umbrella interfered, letting the human government get involved, so we had no choice but to hold the ceremony early." The one on the right analyzed.

"Umbrella? They may have many bioweapons, but those likely pose no threat to us, and Saina isn't necessarily going to cooperate with humans. I feel my lord is being overly cautious." The one on the left expressed disdain.

Just then.

With their exceptional hearing, they faintly sensed that something was rapidly falling from above.

?

Doubtful, they looked up at the sky and observed with their superhuman vision.

Black dots?

About a hundred or so humanoid "black dots" rushed toward the castle at extreme speed.

!!!

"There's an enemy."

"Boom! Boom boom boom!"

The two vampires, just about to use their throat mics to alert everyone, were interrupted by dense and violent explosions.

Those two vampires were also consumed by the firelight of the explosions.

Viewed from above.

With the castle as center, within a radius of at least two hundred meters, numerous small explosions erupted simultaneously.

The smoke from the explosions quickly engulfed the castle and the nearby forest.

The culprit behind this scene was four cluster bombs descending faster than those "black dots".

The four cluster bombs, just before hitting the ground, immediately decelerated, then ejected nearly a thousand small bombs from their casings, evenly distributed across this area.

And those "black dots" are HellParatroopers and zombies equipped with exclusive TPS Power Armor.

While the left-side vampire was boasting, thinking that aside from being a bit larger and a bit richer, Umbrella had nothing worth worrying about.

Umbrella's Wraith Sky Carrier had already reached high altitude over Romania, and it dropped cluster bombs over the castle's area, then deployed a hundred and twenty MTF.

In past operations, due to various reasons, the Wraith Carrier could not provide effective fire support, because they had to worry about friendly fire.

But the castle is deep in the mountains and dense forest, with no signs of civilian activity nearby.

What's there to worry about!

Now, at last, the Wraith Carrier's crew could "recklessly" press the release button, delivering a big gift of cluster bombs to the vampires and werewolves.

The smoke from the explosions has not yet cleared.

The 120 paratroopers and zombies had already opened their back-mounted flamethrowers, descending in succession with sustained braking around the castle.

"Thud! Thud!" Near the castle, the heavy thuds of TPS Power Armor stepping on mud could be heard one after another.

Since the HellParatroopers and their subordinate zombies were equipped with sustainable-braking TPS Power Armor, they have gradually phased out the original individual airdrop pods.

In the smoke.

The paratroopers and zombies could still clearly observe their surroundings via their helmet screens' scanning function.

Everywhere were explosion-created pits, many trees uprooted, and the already dilapidated castle became even more perilous.

There were still those twitching, even moving.

Severed limbs.

As long as the head or heart wasn't completely destroyed, the werewolves and vampires torn apart by the explosions are not yet all dead.

Seeing this.

"Take care of this trash." Carlos's command came through the helmet comms.

"Tap! Tap tap tap!"

The issuance of the command also caused dense pulse gunfire to echo around the castle.

Due to the ongoing rain, the smoke quickly dissipated after a short while.

Observed from above.

One could see squads of four paratroopers and zombies advancing in an orderly manner toward the castle's inner courtyard.

During the advance, they encountered no effective resistance.

No matter how tenacious the vitality of werewolves and vampires, those subjected to bombardment are already half-dead, utterly unable to resist the steady advance of the paratroopers and the living dead.

Within three minutes, all the vampires and werewolves outside the castle were mopped up with gunfire.

The scene shifts.

The inner courtyard on the north side of the castle.

Carlos, holding a pulse machine gun, was leading six teams across the open ground of the inner courtyard, preparing to advance toward the castle's main building.

The intelligence Carlos received clearly stated that the blood pool is the key to summoning the blood demon.

"Everyone pay attention." So, as Carlos walked forward, he also opened the communications and reminded:

"Controlling the blood pool inside the castle is our primary objective, and there are surely plenty of remnants of scum inside, so keep your spirits up! Wipe out that bunch of scum who have abandoned their human identities!"

"Haah!" the paratroopers loudly replied over the comms.

"." Thirty living dead still remained silent.

Suddenly!

"Haha! Ahahaha! Finally! We have finally obtained the favor of my god!"

"Thanks to my god's grace! I can finally free myself from the limitations of mortal flesh!"

Carlos and the others heard from within the castle building the maniacal laughter of several "scum".

"Everyone, be on alert!" Carlos immediately halted his advance, steadied his machine gun aimed forward, and shouted loudly: "Prepare to deal with high-danger abnormal creatures!"

A few "boom~" sounds.

Several winged figures burst out of the main building, flapping their wings as they flew above the castle, looking down at Carlos and the others still on the ground.
