Best to write a "Beheading Gods 2", or continue to extend the same kind of subject matter and style. Having the original fan foundation there, at least it wouldn't flop, persisting in one kind of style and developing it...

Honestly speaking, I indeed also seriously considered it. Changing subject matter is tiring not to mention, also easily losing old readers. After all others might exactly like reading the original subject matter, changing a flavor then they won't like it. Especially towards authors with a relatively larger fan volume, old readers are particularly many, might be because the subject matter isn't to taste, or raising the book, casually flipping two pages then won't read anymore.
