Chapter 320
Good good good.
Lasting over three months, finally finished writing the new book's first volume...
Right now, I incomparably miss that period of time before starting the book without needing to type words. Only hating why I only rested for three months after "Beheading Gods" finished. Feeling in a blink of an eye returned again to the working life of painstakingly updating every day... En, mainly it is, writing "Play God" is truly very taxing on people.
"Play God" is Sanjiu's third book, and also the one that consumed the most mental effort. It thoroughly walked out of the original comfort zone of "Replica Mirror" and "Beheading Gods", opening the main gate to a brand new subject matter...
Speaking human words is, changed subject matter, changed theme, changed style.
"Replica Mirror" and "Beheading Gods" are both hot-blooded fantasy novels walking the patriotic direction, and also the subject matter Sanjiu is most familiar and adept at writing. Before starting the book there already were countless people who persuaded me, it wasn't easy to finally write a book with a bit of achievements like "Beheading Gods", why change subject matter? Best to write a "Beheading Gods 2", or continue to extend the same kind of subject matter and style. Having the original fan foundation there, at least it wouldn't flop, persisting in one kind of style and developing it...
Honestly speaking, I indeed also seriously considered it. Changing subject matter is tiring not to mention, also easily losing old readers. After all others might exactly like reading the original subject matter, changing a flavor then they won't like it. Especially towards authors with a relatively larger fan volume, old readers are particularly many, might be because the subject matter isn't to taste, or raising the book, casually flipping two pages then won't read anymore. It will make the book's data become extremely ugly... Even if there are new readers coming in, it's also very hard to pull it back again.
But after Sanjiu's entanglement, still chose a new subject matter... The main reason lies in, consecutively writing two books of the original subject matter, somewhat got tired of writing... (Doge head)
Don't know if everyone would get tired of reading, but Sanjiu indeed had a kind of fatigue feeling. Just being unable to find freshness and passion from this subject matter again. Feeling writing again would also merely be drawing a dipper following a gourd. Needed to change a subject matter, change a flavor... After all if losing the passion for writing, the things written out also wouldn't be too good. Rather than like this, better to let go and risk it!
Wasteland subject matter with science regressing (perhaps also cannot be called wasteland?) + theater Stage and audience golden finger (extremely rare) + protagonist faction with a painting style biased towards villains (neutral characters with widely different personalities.jpg". On the ideological core it also underwent an update.
If saying "Replica Mirror" and "Beheading Gods", are hot-blooded combat subject matters taking patriotism as the core, straightforward settings taking the contradiction between humans and Divine Beings as the core conflict, then the core of "Play God" is even more restrained... It isn't like the former two that can be seen out at a glance, feeling the hot blood within them.
The core of "Play God", is just like hiding beneath the calm lake surface, yet hiding a turbulent storm. It is a kind of hidden strength, only by deeply seeing a bit later, can one experience the source of this "hidden strength"... That is the difficult confrontation between insignificant humans and the unknown and destiny in an era of despair. It's roughly like this, always feeling it's very hard to completely express it out using text. But I think after finishing reading the first volume, everyone should more or less be able to feel some...
It is more obscure than the former two, actually possessing more sense of power, more grand, more solemn and tragic.
But this also means... its reading threshold became higher.
This to an author, actually isn't any good thing. Because this means losing a considerable portion of readers, but there's also no method... What Sanjiu can do, is exactly as much as possible make the story more interesting. Make the people who originally couldn't continue reading, be able to deeply read a bit more... That's all.
Before starting this book, Sanjiu had already made preparations to flop. Also changing subject matter, also increasing threshold... Mood was still relatively depressed. In short just thinking, if it flops then let it flop, then I'll also accept it... Using that sentence at the ending of the first volume to say,
[On an Unregarded Stage, completing a curtain call of Resounding Applause]
However Sanjiu doesn't regret it at all, because up till the present, there already are many readers expressing they like it very much, moreover rave reviews... This perhaps is the best good medicine to soothe my on-edge inner heart (paragraph comments I'm also looking at every day). Also gave Sanjiu confidence to continue writing down.
In the final analysis, thanking you brothers and sisters who have always supported Sanjiu (both hands clasped)!!
Although the first volume has ended, but the worldview has only just unfolded, moreover the main storyline actually also only revealed a corner... The later story, will be even more brilliant!
If you guys feel Sanjiu wrote not bad, remember to give a five-star good rating, write a bit of comments or whatever again. If it's a reader who already gave a good rating not long after starting the book, you can give it once again... After all ratings where reading duration isn't enough, won't be recorded inside it. Right now the rating is 9.7, Sanjiu making bold still wants to try rising it again?
Besides, you can also recommend it more to offline or online friends. Sanjiu bows thanking everyone (laugh)
The first volume summary just arrives here first. We'll meet again in the next volume!
