Chapter 436

"Act according to the plan, and as for this old thing, today let him not catch a single worm."

Zhang Chong probably never imagined that there were more than twenty thousand Dao One Sect disciples hidden in Tree City, and right now, these twenty thousand people had completely locked onto him.

From the city, they walked all the way into the Lin Hai, which was below the city.

To catch wood worms, one naturally needed to search in the Lin Hai.

Wei Feng explained a lot of knowledge about wood worms to Ye Changqing.

These wood worms could be considered a type of demon beast, but their strength was very weak; basically, ordinary people could kill them.

They liked to drill holes in the tree trunks and then destroy the trees from the inside.

So as long as you saw a hole the size of a thumb on the tree trunk, you could almost be certain that there must be wood worms inside.

However, dealing with them one by one was very inefficient.

So in general, medicinal powder was used to force these wood worms out. This was why alchemists were very strong in worm fishing.

The ten worm-fishing masters on the list were all alchemists.

Hearing Wei Feng's explanation, Ye Changqing nodded slightly.

"Heh, daring to come worm fishing without even understanding wood worms?"

But just at this moment, Zhang Chong appeared in front of the two of them, again with disdain.

Seeing this, Ye Changqing was too lazy to pay attention to him; this old thing was truly sick.

He turned and left, while Zhang Chong was currently applying some unknown medicinal powder to the big trees one by one.

"Heh, with the medicinal powder specially prepared by this old man this time, I will definitely win the championship in one fell swoop."

Zhang Chong was full of confidence, but just after he applied the powder and had just left, several Dao One Sect disciples appeared here.

Looking at the tree trunk covered in medicinal powder, the Dao One Sect disciples waited for a moment, and soon they saw wood worms crawling out of the tree trunk one by one.

"This old thing's medicinal powder is actually quite useful."

"What did you expect? He is a worm-fishing master."

"Hehe, but these will be cheap for us."

"Stop talking nonsense, take them, take them all."

Several disciples immediately captured all these wood worms, put them into specially made bags, and then disappeared from the spot in a flash.

Zhang Chong was applying medicinal powder in front, while the Dao One Sect disciples were collecting wood worms behind.

Just like that, when Zhang Chong finished his work and prepared to return to collect the wood worms, he found that there wasn't a single one.

"Strange, how could there be none?"

Looking at the tree trunk where he had applied the powder, he didn't even see the shadow of a wood worm. Zhang Chong frowned deeply.

This shouldn't be; this medicinal powder was something he had painstakingly prepared, and its effect on wood worms was extremely good.

Once applied to the tree trunk, the wood worms would definitely be forced out, but now, why wasn't there a single one?

Impossible, this shouldn't be.

Looking around the tree trunk, Zhang Chong began to doubt his life.

"Could it be that there are no wood worms in this tree?"

He thought suspiciously, perhaps that was the case. Immediately, Zhang Chong changed to another tree, but the result was still that he didn't see a single wood worm.

Simply ridiculous.

Just when Zhang Chong was confused and couldn't figure it out, Ye Changqing and the other walked over. Looking at Zhang Chong walking around the big tree, Wei Feng also laughed angrily.

"Yo, isn't this the worm-fishing master? What's wrong, can't even find the shadow of a wood worm?" ===== CHAPTER 437 =====
