Chapter 112: The Vegetarian's Murder Case
(There are quite a few changes in the previous chapter, sorry for the trouble, please take another look.)
The body, which had clearly already lost its pulse, began to writhe the moment it was declared dead, like a true black mamba snake, sliding slickly and disjointedly out of its bindings.
"What on earth is this thing? Has Miao Hentian mutated too?"
The interrogators were now facing a dilemma; over there, Yamaguchi Hisashi had a knife held to his throat by someone who had snuck in, and here, Miao Hentian was 'performing' a human-snake mutation on the spot.
Even the two people who would strike fear into the mercenaries within the organization were now standing there, lonely and helpless, longing to return to the world of one minute ago.
"T-Teacher, please hold on, I'll go call for help!"
The leader of the duo turned to leave, only to be grabbed by their companion, "Senior, don't leave me alone."
"You idiots, why aren't you saving me yet!" Seeing the two wanted to flee, Yamaguchi Hisashi stretched out his loose-skinned neck and scolded them in a rage, attempting to use the prestige he held in the organization to make them stay.
"You three might as well listen to me," the person holding the knife behind Yamaguchi Hisashi finally spoke, "I'll kill this old thing first, then chop off both of your heads, so nobody has to leave, how about that?"
"Damn it, who exactly are you? You broke into the Base just to save Miao Hentian, right? I admit, she is indeed a good Dream Girl Adaptation Body, you can take her!"
Yamaguchi Hisashi struggled to maintain an arrogant attitude, even lifting a hand that was shaking like Parkinson's to tidy his drooping bangs, "I am an important member of the organization. As long as you ensure my safety, not only can you take this woman, but you can also make demands. Food, medicine, the things you women need every month... Baka, if I die, you two wretches won't leave here alive!"
The old man had his skin sliced open by a knife, finally revealing his disgusting true colors.
"Yamaguchi Hisashi, 53 years old, from Kyoto, Japan, mechanical engineering professor, bone fetishist, hobbies include... torturing and killing underage boys. Crimes also include inciting the sacrifice of women to the mountain god, exacerbating the harm of superstition..."
Every word Liu Mu spoke, the force in her hand increased, and by the time she finished, that loose neck was already bleeding profusely.
Hearing the latter part, Yamaguchi Hisashi understood this person's goal; she was here to kill him. This terrorist was clearly aiming for him!
Just as he was shaking like chaff and thought this person would finish him off with one blade, the pressure on his neck eased, and the opponent suddenly stepped away.
Yamaguchi Hisashi clutched his neck, trying to stop the bleeding, but in the next second, he saw his two former students get their heads sliced off one after another; the flying skulls cost him his last chance to call for help.
The technique was as clean as the steel Guillotine in his secret room on the second floor, which could always quickly and neatly slice open those cute children; the cuts were so smooth they moved him himself.
Ah, what a beautiful cross-section. Those poor little lives, preserving the moment of ultimate terror before him, how blissful...
For that heavenly enjoyment, he could endure the crude people of an enemy country in a mountain gully, and endure the loneliness of being away from home. As long as he could keep experiencing that kind of happiness, he was even willing to sell his soul...
But, the soul has no pain or agony, let alone the fear he felt now.
"You, who exactly are you? Why, do you know, why..."
The knife had destroyed the muscle layer on his neck, and the pressure no longer caused the various tubes inside to swell; speaking had become extremely laborious, as if every word he spat out would cause his trachea to break free from the damaged muscle.
He could even feel the most active artery slowly 'growing', breaking through the blockade of muscle and skin to come out and absorb oxygen on its own.
"Alright then," the culprit who caused all this arrived, walking with slow steps, treading over the ground soaked in fresh blood.
Viscous blood was still dripping from the tip of the knife, drop by drop, pulling out long, thin threads, as if they were the soft black hair of those cute children.
"Now, let's play together."
The woman suddenly moved, and in the little sanity Yamaguchi Hisashi had left, she neatly plunged the Long Knife into the back of Miao Hentian, who was sliding on the ground, and pressed her palm down on the hilt, actually pinning the writhing person directly to the concrete floor.
"Now, Hisashi-san, where shall we begin?"
Liu Mu spread her fingers before Yamaguchi Hisashi's eyes, then closed them one by one, and a sharp blade appeared out of thin air in her palm, "Sorry," she even felt she owed him, "I don't have that many tools, nor do I have enough time to let you die bit by bit."
Saying this, she plunged the knife into Yamaguchi Hisashi's thigh and gave it a long pull; the entire leg was sliced open from the front, pants and flesh alike, revealing the complete leg bone beneath the separated blood and muscle.
"Ah... Baka... Please don't kill me, please, don't, don't kill me..."
Half an hour, not a second more, not a minute less, the warehouse caught fire.
The Special Operations Team snuck into the Tiankuishe Base from another direction, and an assassination unfolded ruthlessly amidst the diversion of the fire.
"Devil, this must be the devil's punishment! Night Owl, I want you to repent to the Lord with me, let the fire burn away this sinful massacre."
Seeing the white bones spread out in front of the warehouse and the limp, pure flesh that had lost its bone support, Joseph kept making the sign of the cross to his Lord.
"You are afraid; only when you are afraid do you remember your faith. Too hypocritical, Mr. Joseph," the man in a black tailcoat pushed the fake believer away, and even though he was unwilling, he still had to examine the dismantled corpse, "The technique is clean, without a hint of hesitation or error. This familiar knife work can even compare to mine. Then... there is only one answer!"
Night Owl made a gesture of pushing up his glasses and said coldly, "It's that Vegetarian, 'Thief One Blade of Grass'!"
"Amen, but there is no half-summer grass left as a mark this time. A vegetarian shouldn't be such a cruel person," Joseph didn't believe it, but still insisted on praying, "Lord, please punish this murderer, let her go to hell to repent for her sins. A vegetarian shouldn't be this cruel, shouldn't..."
"Yamaguchi Hisashi, deceased. Cause of death: excessive blood loss during the bone-dismantling process..." Night Owl recorded in his notebook, the not-so-small fire behind him casting eerie light and shadows on the page; he even spent a minute sketching the blood-stained bones and boneless flesh on the paper.
Finally, he wrote down the time in detail.
And this recording process took less than five minutes; the organization had lost another important figure.
"The Lord tells me we should leave," Joseph crept closer as Night Owl closed his notebook, his hands still clasped tightly at his chest, "Your deduction should conclude that 'Thief One Blade of Grass' is not someone we can provoke. Regardless of whether she serves the Chinese government, it is certain that that guy is our enemy."
"My dear Comrade Joseph, although our cause is fraught with difficulties, you must believe in the creed of the organization," the eyes behind the silver-rimmed glasses revealed a firm light; Night Owl held his head high, looked toward the interior of the Base, and said loudly,
"We work in the dark to serve the light!"
"Comrades, let us face the darkness together; they have already come!"
"The above... comes from 'Assassin's Creed'."
