Chapter 338

Seeing Jin Li was immersed in her studies, "crashed" for a few days, and was almost non-existent in the entertainment industry.

When she appeared in the circle again, it was via a blog hot search initiated by "Dream Builder."

#Good News on the Introduction of Overseas Copyright for Dream Builder#

The official "Dream Builder" account specially made a congratulatory image and posted it on their official blog.

【Congratulations to "Dream Builder" for its overseas copyright being scrambled for by many countries; so far, it has successfully sold over twenty overseas copyrights! It has been scrambled for by countries such as Y, T, J... and many others.

@Seeing Jin Li, as an internationally renowned star, many copyright holders have expressed that they really like Seeing Jin Li's performance and also expressed that they were very moved when watching "Dream Builder," reminding them of the scientists in their own countries...

Time does not abandon those who are diligent, and starlight does not fail those who chase their dreams. Let us keep moving forward on the road of chasing dreams. Go, "Dream Builder"!】

"Dream Builder" was, after all, a film that earned 1.6 billion at the box office and was the second biggest hit of this year's summer season.

At this time, the summer season had just passed not long ago, and September still held the sweltering heat of summer; netizens were still immersed in the colorful midsummer.

As soon as this news about "Dream Builder" was released, it attracted a strong crowd of netizens.

【666, sold copyrights for twenty countries all at once. "Dream Builder" is worthy of being Dream Builder; I feel like I'm dreaming right now. This is too awesome!】

【Sad, because I went traveling elsewhere during the summer, I never went to watch the movie. The overseas copyrights have already been sold, so has the cooperation with domestic video platforms been negotiated? I really want to watch it online!】

【Forgive me for speaking bluntly, but the last film to sell overseas copyrights so spectacularly was "And Then There Were None." I remember that movie had apparently already sold over thirty copyrights, and they did promotions at the time, and it was unstoppable from then on.

So, the question is, that film starred Seeing Jin Li, and this film also stars Seeing Jin Li... no, Seeing Jin Li, it's one thing for you to bring prosperity domestically, but how are you also bringing prosperity abroad?】

【Immeasurable Life of Buddha, in front of Seeing Jin Li, all living beings are equal!】

This news released by "Dream Builder" not only received attention from many netizens but also attracted the notice of many industry insiders.

Netizens naturally applauded.

They wished that China's excellent films could be continuously exported to the whole world, letting the whole world understand the cultural charm unique to China.

And industry insiders...

Some directors were already inquiring in many ways, asking what the situation with this film was.

"Isn't it always very difficult to sell overseas copyrights for this type of film?

The last one that was able to sell was because its box office record created Chinese film history, pushing the total box office record to 5.5 billion!"

"Could it be that Director Zhong Wentai used his own influence to sell it?"

"Did they sell it through a powerful intermediary? Can we find out the name of the intermediary company?"

Whether they were young directors, directors with a certain reputation, or some well-known big directors in the country, they were all inquiring about this matter.

The path of overseas copyright, one could say it's important, and one could say it's not.

Capable directors in the country, even without the introduction of overseas copyright, have enough confidence to guarantee a bottom line; after the film is shot, they can recover costs through the box office.

Moreover, the domestic film industry has many channels for distribution; even if the box office performance is dismal, it can still be sold through various distribution means.

Perhaps the offline box office performance is dismal, but it could be a hit in secondary markets like private cinemas; this is not without precedent.

But what they fear is a director who has neither strength, nor connections, nor enough confidence.

If at this time, there could be one more channel for overseas copyright introduction, they would have one more bit of confidence; this is a good thing for both new directors and mature directors.

Not to mention those well-known directors who have always wanted to expand their fame and occupy a place internationally; then this overseas copyright resource must be grasped in their hands.

If your film doesn't even have overseas introduction, how can you talk about letting people in other countries know you?

A film like "Dream Builder," which is difficult to introduce, was suddenly scrambled for by over twenty countries, giving the entire film industry a shot in the arm!

Because the "Dream Builder" production team had never revealed any news about overseas copyright, those people inquired and inquired, and finally inquired about the director and the actors.

Xu Wenwen specially called Seeing Jin Li, feeling a bit unsure.

"I don't know whether to say it out; my company has never paid attention to this area. Today they suddenly asked me, and I said I didn't know either, so I'm calling to ask you."

Xu Wenwen knew about the overseas copyright introduction; the method Seeing Jin Li mentioned of bundling it with "And Then There Were None" was also told to her later.

But this matter had never been leaked, so Xu Wenwen assumed it had to be kept confidential.

Seeing Jin Li considered it for a while and then said: "It's fine, just tell the truth; this method can't be hidden.

Many people must have called Director Zhong to ask, and those who can find Director Zhong are all well-known directors in the industry; Director Zhong might not be able to hide it."

Xu Wenwen wasn't someone who dwelled on things and replied readily: "Okay!"

But she didn't hang up the phone immediately and continued to ask: "Seeing Jin Li, have you accepted any new roles recently?"

Seeing Jin Li shook her head: "No, the company said there are many scripts submitted, but the stories aren't very good, so we're still waiting and watching."

Xu Wenwen: "I do have a script here; the subject matter is similar to "Dream Builder" but not entirely the same, and it's very positive.

I think it's quite good, and I asked the director; he said the female lead hasn't been decided yet, and I want to recommend you take a look."

Seeing Jin Li readily agreed: "Okay, the director doesn't mind letting me see the script first, right?"

Xu Wenwen smiled: "I asked the director, and he looked shocked when he heard I wanted to invite you to act in it.

He said his production team is too small and has no funds to hire actors, and every cent must be spent on production, so you definitely wouldn't come to act, so he simply didn't even submit it to your company.

I said that's not necessarily true, and I've already asked for his opinion; he can send the script to you."

Seeing Jin Li still trusted Xu Wenwen's aesthetic judgment and was already looking forward to the script.

On the other side, Seeing Jin Li was right; Director Zhong really couldn't hide it.

Another old friend called to inquire, and this was already the fourth call he had received. He simply sent a message in the director group he had set up.

Otherwise, if he had to tell them one by one, when would he finish?

Zhong Wentai: 【Everyone doesn't need to keep calling to ask. This time, the copyright was able to go overseas, all thanks to Seeing Jin Li carrying us! She discussed with the director of "And Then There Were None" to adopt a bundling sales method.

Except for the overseas copyright cooperation that had already been decided, any copyright holder who comes to introduce "And Then There Were None" afterward must also purchase the copyright for "Dream Builder," which is why the overseas copyright for "Dream Builder" could be sold so quickly!】

Director A: 【Is Seeing Jin Li that powerful?】

Director B: 【What is the relationship between the director of "And Then There Were None" and Seeing Jin Li?】

Director C: 【So the netizens were right, Seeing Jin Li is really prosperous!】

Not only was Zhong Wentai inquired about, but directors who had previously cooperated with Seeing Jin Li also called Dawn Entertainment one after another, asking how the overseas copyright for "Dream Builder" was sold.

When they heard that it was all Seeing Jin Li's idea, they all expressed: "Seeing Jin Li is one of the actors we've encountered who is most dedicated to her work!"

They had to praise her heavily; what if there was a chance for cooperation next time, and the overseas copyright introduction fell to them!

The news spread further and further.

With the help of the hot search, all kinds of rumors sprang up like bamboo shoots after a spring rain.

These rumors all pointed to Seeing Jin Li!

Netizens looked here and there, and by piecing things together, they all managed to see a roughly complete version.

【Although Seeing Jin Li has always denied it, there's no need to doubt it; her luck is simply too good!】

【I used to think that after stars finished filming, the crew members wouldn't keep in touch, but now the director of "And Then There Were None" actually takes the initiative to help Seeing Jin Li build a bridge for her other work to go overseas. I suddenly feel so moved!】

【Great love from the gentleman!】

With this, Seeing Jin Li's personal value has increased once again!

Originally, Seeing Jin Li had gradually developed a trend of becoming a new-generation powerful actor and the number one box office guarantee of the new generation. Now, Seeing Jin Li has an extra label on her:

Dedicated to the after-sales service of her work!

Other stars just post promotions on social platforms like blogs and feel they've done their best, but Seeing Jin Li?

She is someone who can carry her work overseas!

Of course, many directors also knew that "Dream Builder" might have indeed relied on "And Then There Were None" to open the situation at the beginning, but at least half of the overseas introductions were pulled in by Zhong Wentai.

Among them, the fame and influence of an international director cannot be underestimated.

If the films they shot also had actors like Seeing Jin Li, who were dedicated during the performance and didn't forget to find a buyer for the film after acting, then why worry about it not selling out!

In an instant, Seeing Jin Li's already numerous film offers were full again.

And the hot search "Dream Builder's overseas situation is excellent" brought influence that was not limited to these aspects.

On the very day this hot search appeared, President Nan of Duomi personally appeared at Dawn Entertainment with the newly prepared contract.

He hadn't made an appointment in advance and didn't know Seeing Jin Li wasn't there. When Sui Lingfang called to notify Seeing Jin Li to come and sign the contract, President Nan was still anxiously drinking tea in the lounge.

Well, even the tea that needed to be savored slowly couldn't extinguish the anxiety in his heart.

Seeing Jin Li nodded slightly. The more Fang Fei cares about her affairs, the happier she is. After all, she doesn't want to be looked down upon by Huayun.

Now, without President Nan needing to feel a sense of crisis, Duomi's public relations department already felt a strong sense of crisis.

Seeing Jin Li's reputation had always been very good, and now that such a thing had been exposed, many film directors would want to invite her to participate just because Seeing Jin Li was willing to do dedicated after-sales work.

Even if it was just to play a supporting role or show her face!

So Seeing Jin Li's potential for the next year could be fully anticipated.

Duomi was afraid that if this contract wasn't sent out, the cooked duck would fly away!

In the lounge, Sui Lingfang was also there, slowly accompanying him to drink tea, while drinking and saying:

"President Nan, don't be anxious. How about I brew you some chrysanthemum tea to clear heat and reduce fire?"

President Nan gave a bitter smile: "President Fang, aren't you mocking me? I'm so anxious I'm about to get inflamed!"

Sui Lingfang said calmly: "Actually, you don't need to be in such a hurry to come over and deliver the contract. Just make a phone call and let us go to Duomi headquarters to sign it. Besides Duomi, there is no second brand that has signed a dedicated product line with us."

Not long after these words fell, Sui Lingfang's phone suddenly rang; it was a call from a previous brand contact.

She answered it, chatted briefly, and immediately said with a smile:

"That's fine. Seeing Jin Li has always wanted to develop a dedicated product line cooperation with your company. See when you can come to Dawn Entertainment, and we'll talk in detail.

By the way, I forgot to ask you, what kind of product line cooperation do you want to develop with Seeing Jin Li?"

Sui Lingfang suddenly glanced at President Nan; this glance couldn't be more obvious, and President Nan immediately noticed it.

Sui Lingfang said meaningfully: "Skincare products... that's fine, skincare products can also be discussed. I was just thinking, skincare products are quite close to cosmetics; do you also make cosmetics?"

"Oh, oh, okay, let's talk in detail then!" Sui Lingfang hung up the phone.

President Nan immediately said: "President Fang, it was agreed before that Seeing Jin Li's cosmetics would only open a dedicated line at Duomi; you can't go back on your word!"

Sui Lingfang smiled and said: "President Nan misunderstood. Although this skincare brand also operates some cosmetics, they mainly do primers, which is not the same thing as the dedicated foundation product line you launched."

President Nan felt relieved and still said on the surface: "We still need to clarify the scope of competing products properly."

Sui Lingfang: "Don't worry, all varieties are written in the contract."

Seeing Jin Li rushed over from the apartment, signed her name on the contract, shook hands with President Nan, and said happily:

"President Nan, I feel very honored to be able to cooperate with Duomi again!"

President Nan held Seeing Jin Li's hand with both hands. "Duomi is the one who feels honored to have such an excellent brand ambassador!"

After signing the contract, President Nan's hanging heart finally settled, and at the same time, he made another appointment with Seeing Jin Li.

"Seeing Jin Li, the new product you are endorsing this year is our new autumn/winter lip mud that we plan to launch. You must come to shoot the new photos then; you must leave the schedule for us!"

Ambassadors have endorsement tasks every year, shooting promotional photos and videos for every new product launched by the brand each year; this is independent of the cooperation for the dedicated product line.

It only happens once a year; if the brand wants the star to shoot another set of new product promotions in the same year, that's a different price.

Duomi hadn't used this promotional quota this year, just waiting to use it on the autumn/winter new products.

Promoting brand new products is also one of the ambassador's tasks, and Seeing Jin Li agreed without hesitation:

"Communicate the specific time with my agent. Don't worry, I will definitely go on time!"

On the other side, the hot search for "Dream Builder" was also seen by Dai Xueling, who rarely went online.

Dai Xueling generally paid attention to news in the fashion world, and the software she used to check news wasn't the social software commonly used by the public.

This time, it was because there was a lot of news and she felt a bit tired, so she switched to a social platform to browse hot topics to change her mood, not expecting to see the hot search for "Dream Builder."

It just so happened that the assistant pushed the door open and walked in, holding a pile of documents, all of which were spring/summer styles for next year designed by other designers in the company.

Don't look at the fact that it's only September now; the fashion world is always one season ahead of others.

When everyone just started looking at autumn clothes, clothing brands had already designed winter clothes, and now they were starting to study spring/summer styles.

Dai Xueling took the manuscript handed over by the assistant and suddenly asked: "How is the planning scheme for Seeing Jin Li's magazine shoot coming along?"
