Chapter 722: Multi-party Snatching Roles, Director Self-rescue

Lian Baozhi had learned about the IP of "Desperate Counterattack."

This is a cool-text novel from the male lead's perspective. Female characters are just embellishments here, and the focus is on highlighting the male lead.

So no matter which actress goes to play, even if it is the female lead on the literal script, the scenes are actually very few.

And compared to a female lead who only has beauty but no brain, she feels that playing a scheming female villain who looks high-IQ can leave a deep impression.

In addition, this script has no female lead in the true sense, it's just defining the character with more scenes as the female lead.

But there is no romantic plot with the male lead.

The only one with a romantic plot is the male lead's white moonlight who died early, and the scenes are only a little bit.

Lian Baozhi actually wanted to play the male lead's white moonlight.

You have to know that the male lead is Gu Cheng!

He is the top traffic star who is currently hot. Although he is not on the idol route, his popularity is solid.

The most popular one in Sanyue Tian is Gu Cheng.

Since flying solo to develop his personal career, his career has been the most prosperous.

Among the four people, his exposure is not the most, and the announcements he takes are not the most. It can be said that he is the least active one.

But once there is exposure, it will definitely cause a storm and be swiped for a long time.

The CP "Vitamin" he paired with Seeing Jin Li is the TOP1 in the CP super topic. Just the "Vitamin" group alone makes him invincible.

Not to mention that Gu Cheng has acting skills, so he can support this drama.

If the male lead of this drama was a newcomer, or only had strength but no popularity, the selection of female roles wouldn't have made so many female stars flock to it.

Lian Baozhi told Lv Jieshan her thoughts.

Lv Jieshan didn't want her to play a supporting role at first, feeling it dropped her status.

After all, in TV dramas, she finally consolidated her status as the female lead.

As a result, she has to be a supporting role in the film circle, and the gap is a bit big.

If there is a chance to enter the film industry, she still hopes that Lian Baozhi can be the female lead.

But after listening to Lian Baozhi's thoughts, Lv Jieshan's thoughts also changed.

She was silent for a while, looked up at Lian Baozhi, and sighed:

"I feel like you have changed a lot. The way you looked when you first debuted seems to stay in yesterday. Overnight, you have grown up."

"You now see the relationship between characters and interests more thoroughly than I do. You are right. This script is a big male lead film, and female characters don't play a big role in it."

"Even if it is the female lead on the literal script, it is just a supporting role, and the female lead's character setting is not likable. It is better to play a female villain with a distinct personality, which can make people remember."

Lv Jieshan had a flash of inspiration and said: "I have read this novel. Compared to a female villain, if you can play the male lead's white moonlight, wouldn't it be better?"

"This character setting of white moonlight is what the public likes the most."

Lian Baozhi said something irrelevant: "This is Gu Cheng's drama."

Lv Jieshan hadn't understood yet: "Right, the crew just officially announced Gu Cheng as the male lead."

Lian Baozhi said again: "This is Gu Cheng's drama, the female lead must be set for Seeing Jin Li."

Lv Jieshan hadn't gotten it yet: "Seeing Jin Li? That's not right, the female lead's character setting is not good. Will Seeing Jin Li play this kind of character setting?"

Lian Baozhi helplessly supported her forehead: "I am talking about the role of white moonlight, which should be reserved for Seeing Jin Li."

"In 'Counterattack,' the male lead's scenes are also very few, playing a guiding role, and Gu Cheng took it."

"And in 'Desperate Counterattack,' the white moonlight's scenes are also very few, but it runs through the whole movie from beginning to end. It can be said to be the male lead's faith and shaped the male lead's personality."

"Such an important role, if it is not given to Seeing Jin Li, let alone drama fans, netizens probably won't be happy."

Lv Jieshan understood and glanced at her: "I didn't expect you to know so much about the Vitamin CP. Indeed, the call for Seeing Jin Li and Gu Cheng is very high."

"If the two can appear in a movie together, they will win in publicity."

Lian Baozhi thought, can she not know?

Every day, besides using a burner account to check in on Seeing Jin Li's blog, hoping to draw good luck.

Her second check-in point is the Vitamin super topic.

She has checked in for a year without interruption and is one of the loyal Vitamins. Whoever wants to dismantle the CP she is knocking, she will be the first to get anxious with them.

In fact, Lian Baozhi's guess was very accurate.

On the internet, when the crew of "Desperate Counterattack" announced Gu Cheng as the male lead, netizens had been discussing which star would play the male lead's white moonlight.

For this role, Seeing Jin Li's call was the highest, a bit like it belonged to her.

As for the female lead with more scenes in this drama, it was discussed very little.

Because many of this female lead's actions instead put the male lead in danger, and her behavior was a bit brainless.

When netizens discussed this female lead, they were often discussing hoping that after the novel was adapted into a movie, the screenwriter could modify this female character.

Let the so-called female lead not make brainless operations that make people's blood pressure rise, and make the plot progress more reasonably.

"Desperate Counterattack" also sent an invitation to Seeing Jin Li at the first time, giving the greatest sincerity.

Before Seeing Jin Li's answer was handed to the crew of "Desperate Counterattack," this drama was contacted by the managers of many female stars.

They were all coming for the role of the male lead's white moonlight.

Yes, Seeing Jin Li's call on the internet was very high.

But in real life, it's not that whoever has a loud voice is reasonable.

Whoever has a high call is likely to be selected for the role of white moonlight.

There are many stars with the highest call who parted ways because they couldn't talk about interests with the crew.

So managers all hope to push the female stars under their hands out.

As long as they can capture this role, they can disguise themselves to hype up CP with Gu Cheng.

Seeing Jin Li's popularity is very hot, but Gu Cheng's popularity is not bad either.

Male stars have an advantage in popularity, and there are more female fans.

Female stars and male stars hype CP together. Under the situation of Gu Cheng's high popularity, the benefits are also more for female stars.

Unless it is Gu Cheng and Seeing Jin Li hyping CP, then Gu Cheng benefits more.

The director of "Desperate Counterattack" hung up another phone, his face a bit worried.

"Really a group of human spirits. The female lead with more roles is ignored, and everyone has ideas about the male lead's white moonlight. Is this role something I can decide?"

The director couldn't help complaining.

The screenwriter was still modifying the script on the side and asked curiously: "Are those people all coming for Gu Cheng?"

Director: "Definitely, all fighting to want to hype CP with him, not thinking about whether Gu Cheng is willing."

Since this role is the male lead's white moonlight, then Gu Cheng took the male lead, and his white moonlight should also be decided by him.

Obviously, Gu Cheng thought early on that this role belonged to Seeing Jin Li.

Before he signed the contract, he put forward a requirement that the role of white moonlight must be played by Seeing Jin Li.

If Seeing Jin Li's side didn't accept it, he would reconsider whether to take this role.

This clause was written into the contract, which shows how determined Gu Cheng's thoughts were.

Now the crew is in contact with Seeing Jin Li and hasn't leaked this clause, mainly because they are worried that Chenxi Entertainment will raise the price on the spot after knowing it.

Although this drama has pulled a lot of investment, the expenditure on actors' remuneration has already been a bit over budget.

Saving a little is a little.

The scenes of the white moonlight role are really few. Even if Seeing Jin Li takes it, it shouldn't be too expensive.

Screenwriter asked: "What about Seeing Jin Li's side, no reply yet?"

Director shook his head: "No, Chenxi Entertainment hasn't contacted me yet, don't know what their thoughts are."

Screenwriter: "Then wait and see. Seeing Jin Li's announcements are not many, and the reply efficiency is quite high."

"Since Gu Cheng dares to set her, he should be sure. If Seeing Jin Li's side refuses, we will go to Gu Cheng and let him be a lobbyist."

The director's eyebrows stretched out, "Coincidentally, I have the same thought."

Just at this moment, his mobile phone vibrated again, and a relatively new, non-stranger number that was not often contacted appeared before his eyes.

"General Manager Huang Yaowen."

Director muttered to himself: "If I remember correctly, he also invested in this drama, but the share occupied is relatively small."

"Nothing happens without a reason, why did he call?"

After picking up the phone, he knew that General Manager Huang came for his new wife, Li Xunfang.

"I remember that in the crew, the role of the male lead's white moonlight hasn't been decided yet. How about my wife?"

The director's heart skipped a beat, and his face changed greatly.

Oh no, what to do when the investor wants to reserve a role?!

Ordinary roles, even if it is an important female supporting role, giving it out is fine. It can please the investor and bring in more investment.

The key is that Li Xunfang is not a straw bag, and she has honed a little acting skills in these years.

But.

This is the male lead's white moonlight!

The director was worrying about how to refuse, when a flash of inspiration suddenly flashed in his mind, and he said: "We are already in contact with Seeing Jin Li and are about to decide on this role."

Huang Yaowen was silent for a while and said: "Seeing Jin Li?"

The words were a bit hesitant, as if he was recalling what great achievements this star had, or was hesitating whether she could be replaced.

The director didn't offer Gu Cheng. One of the conditions for Gu Cheng to take this film was that Seeing Jin Li had to play the role of the male lead's white moonlight.

He changed another way of thinking to answer.

"Yes, it is Seeing Jin Li, the newly promoted billion-dollar queen. The 'Counterattack' she starred in this year has already achieved the eighth box office record in mainland film history, even if you look at the world, it can rush into the top fifty."

"Her overseas popularity is very high. With the hit of 'Counterattack,' her popularity has soared. If she can cooperate with Gu Cheng for the second time, 'Desperate Counterattack' will be very convenient to go to sea, and there is no need to spend effort on publicity."

"In addition, the Vitamin group of the two people's CP fans is very large. As long as they can be set, they can guarantee a box office of more than 500 million."

"The movie hasn't been filmed yet, and we can guarantee to break even some funds, so I tend to cooperate with her."

Huang Yaowen replied very quickly this time: "Okay, just her."

The director said flatteringly: "General Manager Huang, besides the role of the male lead's white moonlight, there are many female roles that haven't been decided. Don't know if Miss Li is interested?"

Huang Yaowen asked: "Are they all relatively important female roles, how are the scenes?"

The director originally wanted to sell the relatively important villain, but suddenly remembered that Li Xunfang's acting skills were not good.

Giving her a marginal female role is fine. Important ones cannot be given, so as not to be ruined, and then drag down the whole crew because of her alone.

So the director changed his words, "This drama is a big male lead cool drama, the female roles are quite marginalized, the scenes are not many, even the female lead's scenes are not many, and this role of female lead has already been decided."

Huang Yaowen: "Okay."

He hung up the phone and didn't say anything follow-up.

The director put down his mobile phone and breathed a sigh of relief.

He touched his forehead, which was wet.

So dangerous!

He exerted all his intelligence to deal with the investment Boss who controlled the money.

The screenwriter heard the whole process and asked with some worry:

"I heard that Li Xunfang is jealous. If she finds out that all important female roles have not been decided, what should we do?"

Director: "Then we will decide quickly, try to get it done in these few days, so that the news won't leak."

"Coincidentally, many actresses have sent resumes and audition clips. We try to choose those who are already famous and have a good reputation. As long as we don't boldly use newcomers, there shouldn't be any problems."

The casting of "Desperate Counterattack" proceeded quickly and secretly.

Seeing Jin Li's manager gave a reply on the same day, the crew immediately said it was okay, and sent someone to deliver the contract for signing the next day.

The efficiency was so fast that even Seeing Jin Li was a bit surprised.

"If I remember correctly, this drama was officially announced not long ago. Why sign the contract so quickly? Are they afraid I will run away? In terms of performance, my reputation should be quite good."

Sui Lingfang shook her head: "Don't know what ghost they are playing inside, the director is just very urgent."

She guessed: "Maybe they want to start filming as soon as possible. It will start filming in the winter vacation in January next year. Now it is mid-November, and there is not much time left until January next year."

Seeing Jin Li: "But there is no need to be so nervous."

After signing the contract, the director left by plane and only said a few words to Seeing Jin Li simply.

Just saying hello, didn't discuss the plot.

The role is very simple, pure white moonlight, is the kindest and most holy side in the male lead's heart, without any negative emotions.

Not much room for discussion.

The acting performance space of this role is also basically equal to zero.

But the only thing that can be certain is that this role is definitely the incarnation of beauty.

As long as the male lead can remember it, it is the most beautiful fragment in this drama.

That's why the role is likable.

Seeing Jin Li returned to campus after signing the contract and mentioned this matter to Gu Cheng in the evening.

Gu Cheng told the truth, "Maybe it's because I'm afraid that important female roles will be snatched by relationship households. Although the female roles in this drama have very few scenes, there are also some that can promote the plot."

"If the role that needs acting skills is snatched by a relationship household, causing the film to be rated poorly by the audience, the director is unwilling to accept it."

"Since the official announcement that I am the male lead, there have been too many relationship households coming up, and the director can't hold on anymore."

Seeing Jin Li understood, "Should have known not to announce you so quickly."

Gu Cheng shook his head: "Hard to say, if I am not announced, they won't pull investment so smoothly."

"I just signed an intention contract with the crew, not a formal contract. This kind of contract can't fool investors."

Don't know what he thought of, he smiled.

"You might not know, you signed the contract, and my contract was formally signed."

Gu Cheng reached out and pinched her face, "This time, it's your turn to see my growth."

Seeing Jin Li smiled brightly and stood on tiptoe to pat his head.

"Okay." ===== CHAPTER 723 =====
