A Note on Going Premium

Before I knew it, this book has already reached the premium launch, scheduled for tomorrow at noon.

First of all, I want to thank my editor Liuxing — a really nice person. As a newbie who knew nothing about Qidian's rules, they gave me a great deal of help. (Anyone looking to publish, go ahead and stuff your big manuscripts into Liuxing's little inbox~)

Next, I want to thank the readers who have supported me all along. Every one of your follow-reads, comments, monthly tickets, recommendations, and tips is the motivation that keeps me writing.

It's a bit of a pity, but this book still didn't make it onto the Sanjiang.

After I posted a single-chapter notice last week, my godfathers went all out and the follow-reads shot up by over 500 — by all rights that should've been more than enough.

But luck just wasn't on my side; I crashed head-on into a bunch of big-name authors and still got squeezed out…

But it doesn't matter — going premium is the true starting point of any book.

I've always felt that authors and readers are running toward each other. We meet through the stories beneath our keyboards and carry on a soul-deep, now-shallow-now-deep exchange.

The author here is writing full-time right now, supporting the whole family on book royalties alone. You readers really are the ones who clothe and feed me, so calling you "godfather" isn't out of line. (There probably aren't any girls following a book like mine, right? If there are, chances are they're male-mommy readers too…)

So please, dear godfathers, tomorrow when it goes premium, give this little author a first subscription — after all, it directly affects whether I can get recommendations later on.

It also decides whether this little author can add a sausage and an egg to his instant noodles for the next few months.

On launch day there'll be a ten-thousand-character update, but I won't be releasing it all at once. (Please forgive me for having no saved drafts)
