Chapter 19: First Meeting with Classmates

~8 min read 1,569 words

After chatting with Vapas for a while longer, Zhou Heng took his leave.

Just as he walked out of the principal's office, Cheng Du was still waiting for Zhou Heng outside the door.

Seeing Zhou Huan walk out, he hurried forward to greet Zhou Huan.

"Young Master Zhou Heng, may I ask where you would like to go next?"

"After this, I will be living on campus. Does the academy have any accommodation arranged? Take me to see it.

Also, I will be attending school here from now on, so just call me 'classmate' in the future." Thinking that he would be living at the Spirit Hall Academy from now on, Zhou Heng asked Cheng Du.

Cheng Du thought for a moment, as if he had realized something, and said, "The academy has arranged for Young Master Zhou... er, Classmate Zhou, to stay in the house on the east side.

How about I take Classmate Zhou for a tour around the academy to see the layout of the various buildings and get to know the environment?"

"Lead the way, let's take a look around," Zhou Heng said to Cheng Du.

Cheng Du nodded in agreement and immediately walked in front of Zhou Heng to lead the way.

After the two of them finished a tour of the Spirit Hall Academy, Zhou Heng understood the layout of the academy's buildings.

The entire Spirit Hall Academy is divided into four areas: east, south, west, and north. The east area occupies the largest space, and it is basically filled with Mimicry Cultivation Fields built by the Spirit Hall.

Opposite the east area is the west area, which is the dormitory area. Most of the houses here are built for students, and there are also some Mimicry Cultivation Fields specially created by incorporating the environment of the west area.

The north area is the academy's administrative area, serving as the living and office quarters for the academy's teachers.

The final south area is the academy's teaching location, where knowledge of various Spirit Beasts and Spirit Master studies are taught; in addition, there are several training grounds used for combat.

Zhou Heng took his luggage out of the Storage Soul Guidance Device that Qian Daoliu had rewarded him with and placed it in the house in the west area that the academy had arranged for him (the Storage Soul Guidance Device was something Qian Daoliu had rewarded the protagonist with during the previous seven months, it just hadn't been written down).

Afterwards, he followed Cheng Du to the south area and walked into a classroom.

Cheng Du arrived in front of the classroom door and knocked gently on it.

Inside the classroom, a man with a gentle temperament heard the knocking, turned his head, and looked at the door.

He then said to the students below the podium, "Classmates, please start your self-study for now. I'm going out to take a look."

Having said that, the man with the gentle temperament walked forward, opened the door, and stepped out.

Soon, the door opened, and the man with the gentle temperament opened the door; as soon as he did, the man immediately saw Cheng Du standing outside.

"Oh, it's Director Cheng. Is there something going on at the academy?" the man asked Cheng Du with a smile.

Cheng Du stepped aside to reveal Zhou Heng standing behind him, pointed at Zhou Heng, and said to the man, "Teacher Li, this is a new student named Zhou Heng. The school has arranged for Classmate Zhou Heng to be in your class. Please help Classmate Zhou Heng get familiar with the classmates in the class."

That Teacher Li followed Cheng Du's lead and saw Zhou Heng's figure.

Teacher Li sized Zhou Heng up a few times, didn't see anything special about Zhou Huan, and withdrew his gaze.

"Very well, Director Cheng. How has the school arranged this student's accommodation and other matters?" Teacher Li asked Cheng Du.

"The school has already arranged these matters. You don't need to worry about the rest; just follow the arrangements," Cheng Du said dismissively, waving his hand.

Teacher Li nodded and said, "Alright then, I will take this student into the class now."

Cheng Du turned to Zhou Huan and said, "Classmate Zhou Heng, if you have any other matters, just go to the office area to find me. My office location has a sign, so it's very easy to see."

Standing at the door, Teacher Li couldn't help but raise an eyebrow upon hearing Cheng Du's words. Cheng Du, the Dean of Academic Affairs, was no fool; he was a High-level Soul Master with real substance, which was why he had become the Dean.

Yet, he was so concerned about this Zhou Huan, which showed that this Zhou Huan either had monstrous talent or had a massive backer behind him.

Regardless, this person was not someone he could afford to provoke, so it would be better to just teach normally and not engage in any petty tricks.

Cheng Du said a few more words before leaving.

After Cheng Du left, Teacher Li said to Zhou Huan, "Classmate Zhou Huan, let's go into the class and get to know your classmates."

Zhou Huan nodded calmly and said, "Whatever works for me, Teacher, just arrange it as you see fit."

Teacher Li took Zhou Huan into the classroom. The fact that someone had knocked on the door and called Teacher Li away had already attracted the students' attention, and now, seeing Teacher Li bringing in a child similar in age to them attracted their gazes even more.

All the children's gazes turned toward the unfamiliar Zhou Huan, and Zhou Huan was also sizing these children up.

There were over thirty children in total. To Zhou Huan, these people were basically strangers, but there were a few familiar faces among them, and these people caught Zhou Huan's eye.

Among them were the three members of the future Golden Generation: Hu Liena, the disciple of the current Pope Bibi Dong; Hu Liena's brother, Xie Yue; and that guy, Yan.

Among them, Hu Liena was the most familiar to Zhou Huan, because although Hu Liena was only six years old now, she already possessed a budding charm.

Her red eyes, fair skin, black hair, and cute appearance made Zhou Huan take a few extra looks.

And the boy sitting next to Hu Liena, who looked similar to her, was Hu Liena's brother, Xie Yue.

His skin was pale, he was exceptionally handsome, with red pupils, short silver hair, a strand of gradient red hair at the tips, and red butterfly patterns at the corners of his eyes; his appearance was somewhat similar to Hu Liena's.

Sitting on the other side of Hu Liena was Hu Liena's sycophant, Yan. Although he was still young, one could already see a body stronger than his peers, red hair, and a rugged face.

While Zhou Huan was sizing these children up, a bold student spoke up and asked Teacher Li, "Teacher Li, who is this person? How come he's joining our class?"

Zhou Huan looked in the direction of the voice. The one who spoke was a child with brown hair and a cute appearance, wearing the uniform manufactured by the Spirit Hall Academy.

However, this child's temperament was unusual; he had the air of a spoiled rich kid and looked like he came from an aristocratic family.

Teacher Li just glanced at the child without intending to pay him any mind, then said to the children below the podium, "This is a transfer student in our class named Zhou Huan. Now, let's ask Classmate Zhou Huan to introduce himself."

Although Teacher Li's words sounded like he was consulting the students, the meaning behind his words was certainly not a consultation.

After speaking, Teacher Li beckoned to Zhou Huan, letting him go up to the podium to introduce himself.

Zhou Huan walked up to the podium, faced the children below, and said, "Hello, future classmates.

I am Zhou Huan, six and a half years old. My martial soul is the Element Spirit Tree, I have Innate Full Soul Power, and I am currently a level 22 soul power, two-ring Great Soul Master."

The children below had originally been uninterested in Zhou Huan and were all doing their own things, but when they heard Zhou Huan say he was already a two-ring Great Soul Master, all the children sat up and looked at Zhou Huan.

Even Teacher Li, who was standing to the side, was startled by Zhou Huan's self-introduction.

He hurried to Zhou Huan's side, crouched down, gripped Zhou Huan's shoulders with both hands, and said, "Classmate Zhou Huan, are you really a two-ring Great Soul Master? Can you release your martial soul for us to see?"

Teacher Li's excited expression made Zhou Huan feel a bit awkward; as an adult, being touched like this by a man still made him feel a bit embarrassed.

Zhou Huan nodded and directly released his Element Spirit Tree martial soul. The current Element Spirit Tree martial soul was no longer what it had looked like when it first awakened.

On his left hand, the half-foot-tall little tree was wrapped in subtle, intertwined gold and blue patterns, and under Zhou Huan's feet, one yellow and one purple Soul Ring floated up and down.

This left Teacher Li and all the children incomparably shocked.
