Chapter 443
Inside the control room, the air seems to be stagnant, with only the low hum of equipment operation and the rustling sound of light screen data refreshing as background.
Outside the porthole, the green plane tightly wrapped by several layers of scarlet arrays floats quietly in the chaos of the chaotic void, like an emerald entangled layer by layer by a blood-stained spider web.
Wei Wei Aola walks quickly to the central main console, her fingers sliding quickly on the light screen, calling up several real-time monitoring windows.
She turns around, facing Clark and Gao Jie Ming, the last trace of forced composure on her face having faded, replaced by obvious solemnity and anxiety.
"This is the plane fluctuation data for the past seventy-two standard days." Her voice is more hurried than usual, "Spiritual intensity, energy activity, plane barrier oscillation frequency... almost all indicators are continuously climbing, and the climbing rate is still accelerating."
She points to one of the curves, the line on it almost in a vertical upward trend: "Look here, spiritual gathering index. According to the model previously shared by Star Fall, this index should fluctuate and rise within a relatively gentle interval until it reaches a critical point, triggering a qualitative change. But now... it has broken through the safety threshold by forty percent, and it is still accelerating."
She calls up another three-dimensional model, showing the energy distribution of the plane barrier: "The stability of the plane barrier is decreasing in sync. The number of energy flow disorder points has increased by seventeen, and signs of law conflict have appeared in local areas. What's more troublesome is..."
She pauses, her finger pointing to the core of the model: "The chaos of internal will fluctuations has increased sharply, and the frequency of waveforms with aggressive tendencies is getting higher and higher."
Wei Wei Aola looks up, her gaze sweeping over Clark and Gao Jie Ming, finally stopping on the scene of scarlet and green intertwined outside the porthole, her voice carrying irrepressible urgency:
"Synthesizing all parameters, the possibility that the current plane consciousness will completely go out of control... is increasing sharply, and the speed far exceeds any of our previous deductions."
She takes a deep breath, turns to Clark, her tone determined: "Mentor, I think we can't wait any longer. We must immediately fully activate the outer restraint array to suppress and lock the entire plane first! Take advantage of the fact that it hasn't fully 'woken up' yet to suppress the risk of it going wild to the lowest level!"
Gao Jie Ming listens from the side, his brow furrowed.
He can understand Wei Wei Aola's anxiety; data won't lie, and anyone who sees that exponential risk curve will feel their scalp tingle.
But he still has a key question in his heart.
"Senior Sister," Gao Jie Ming speaks, his voice trying to remain steady, "Star Fall Wizard... has she still not been able to be contacted?"
Hearing this, a flash of deeper gloom crosses Wei Wei Aola's face.
She shakes her head, her tone carrying a sense of frustration: "No. Not long after she sent those invitation letters, the entire plane barrier of the 'Star Fall Land' entered an unconventional lockdown state. It's not a normal closed-door shielding, but an isolation at the level of a near 'information black domain'."
"It is speculated that the living plane already had preliminary instincts at that time and began to self-adjust the energy of the entire plane. Therefore, conventional messaging, positioning, and even high-tier causal detection... were all blocked. I can't contact the inside at all, and I can't detect any clear life or soul signals about Star Fall herself."
She bites her lower lip; this is a small action Gao Jie Ming has rarely seen on her:
"This is also the point I am most worried about. The situation inside the plane is unknown, and Star Fall's state is unknown. Even if... even if this plane really goes out of control and goes wild, can we directly activate the annihilation program without confirming Star Fall's life or death and without trying to rescue her?"
Destroying with one's own hands a plane where a good friend might still be?
This choice clearly puts Wei Wei Aola under tremendous pressure.
Just then, a thick palm pats Wei Wei Aola's shoulder lightly.
Mentor Clark has walked to her side at some point; he still has that slightly tired, plain expression on his face, but his eyes are as calm as an ancient well.
"Wei Wei Aola, you are too anxious." His voice is not high, but it carries a strange penetrating power, instantly diluting the tense atmosphere permeating the control room.
"As a wizard, especially when facing complex situations that exceed the norm, the primary task is to maintain sufficient calmness. Emotions will only interfere with judgment and make the available options fewer."
Wei Wei Aola's body trembles slightly, as if wanting to refute, but facing her mentor's calm gaze, she forcibly suppresses her surging emotions and takes a few deep breaths.
Clark withdraws his hand, his gaze turning to the plane outside the porthole, and says slowly: "Communication interrupted, internal situation unknown, this is indeed a tricky point. Directly activating restraint or annihilation might cause unpredictable harm to Star Fall, and might even become an incentive to crush the plane's balance and lead to it going wild in advance."
He pauses and says a plan that makes both Wei Wei Aola and Gao Jie Ming's hearts jump: "Since external observation is limited, then let's go inside and take a look."
"I will enter the plane directly to search for Star Fall."
"No!" Wei Wei Aola almost blurts out, the anxiety on her face instantly replaced by shock and opposition, "Too dangerous! Old man! The situation inside is now completely a mass of chaos, the laws are disordered, and there is a plane consciousness that is crazily sprouting! If you go in and are treated as an intruder, or are trapped inside..."
Gao Jie Ming also speaks immediately: "Mentor, please be cautious. The internal environment of a living plane is completely different from a conventional plane, and its law exclusion and instinct to strangle 'foreign objects' are extremely strong. If you enter now, the risk factor is immeasurable."
Facing the fierce opposition of the two students, Clark's expression doesn't change at all, as if he is just discussing what to eat for dinner.
"After receiving Wei Wei Aola's request for help and analyzing the preliminary data, I had already started making corresponding preparations." He explains in a plain tone.
"Combining the data from studying living planes in the past, I adjusted the sequence of thirteen protective wizardries for plane environments with high activity, high chaos, and potential nascent intent, prepared seven emergency escape plans, and conducted over forty thousand simulation deductions for various conflicts that might be encountered."
He looks at Wei Wei Aola and Gao Jie Ming, his figure under the gray robe doesn't seem tall, but it reveals an unshakable steadiness: "With my knowledge reserve and response ability, I won't be trapped or killed so easily. At least, I have the confidence to retreat unscathed."
His words have no impassioned guarantees, only a calm statement based on facts.
It is precisely this near-indifferent self-confidence that carries powerful persuasiveness.
Wei Wei Aola opens her mouth, looking at her mentor's calm and waveless face, the fierce opposition stuck in her throat.
