Chapter 136: Be More Polite When Talking to Your Own Mother
The Old Madam of the Nangong Family's tone grew a bit more serious. Looking at the little fellow, who was covered in thorns and acting completely indifferent, she said with a headache, "There has to be a reason for beating people up, right?"
Nangong Jin blinked his eyes and tilted his head: "Great-Grandmother isn't scolding me?"
The Old Madam of the Nangong Family: "If you did something wrong, you should be punished."
"If you did something right, why would Great-Grandmother scold you?"
"Now tell me, why did you hit them."
He hadn't hit the little girls in kindergarten, but he had beaten up every single boy.
Nangong Jin pursed his lips, stiffened his neck, and crossed his little arms. Stubbornly refusing to speak, he gave a cold snort: "I just don't like the look of them!"
He was young, but he had his own self-esteem.
Whenever others cursed him for having no father or mother and being a little wild seed, he would grab them and beat them to death. If they cursed him, he would hit them, hitting them until they submitted.
"Yo, who upset our little young master?"
Nangong Cangming walked in wearing gold-rimmed glasses and a crisp suit. The man had handsome features and a tall, upright stature, his long legs wrapped in suit trousers, making him look like a melancholy prince who had stepped out of a manga.
"Third Uncle!" Nangong Jin ran toward the person at the door with his short legs, looking up at him with an excited face.
Nangong Cangming lowered his head to touch his little face, then raised a hand to push up his glasses. A sharp glint reflected in the cold lenses: "What happened?"
Nangong Jin hummed twice: "I beat up my kindergarten classmates, and the teacher called home."
Nangong Cangming patted his little head and smiled gently: "Then tomorrow, Uncle will make them all come and apologize to you."
The man's smile was like a spring breeze; he looked even better when he smiled, gentle as jade, making one feel very comfortable.
If the people in the business world saw this, they would wish they could dig out their own eyes, intuitively feeling that when this smiling fox smiled like this, he was definitely about to dig a pit for someone again!
Upon hearing this, Nangong Jin waved his hand generously: "No need, I'll hit them again next time."
"I'm not afraid!"
After the little fellow finished speaking, he thumped his chest. Just as he finished, his gaze suddenly paused, and he stared blankly at a beautiful woman behind his uncle.
The little fellow froze in place, his large eyes, like black grapes, staring straight at Qin Shu.
"What a pretty fairy sister."
Qin Shu stood where she was, her eyes fixed on Nangong Jin without blinking, the corners of her eyes turning red, terrified of missing any of his expressions or movements.
She watched the little fellow thumping his chest; the little person was white, chubby, and full of vitality and spirit.
Qin Shu suddenly laughed out loud.
Nangong Jin was even more dumbfounded. The woman was wearing a flowing white dress; her face was stunningly beautiful, gentle and moving, and she looked even better when she smiled.
The look in her eyes when she watched him was especially tender.
Nangong Jin raised his head to meet Qin Shu's gaze, feeling inexplicably nervous; his little chubby hands were even covered in a layer of cold sweat.
He quietly tugged at Nangong Cangming's suit trousers: "Uncle, who is she?"
"Why did she come to my house?"
"She keeps staring at me."
It looked like she was crying, too.
It was very strange; watching this fairy sister cry, he actually felt sad himself and wanted to shed tears.
"She is your mother." Nangong Cangming took his hand and walked in front of Qin Shu, looking down at Nangong Jin: "The birth mother who gave birth to you."
"Your mother's work is very special, and she couldn't come out until now. She came to see you the very first moment she could."
Qin Shu bent down and crouched in front of him, tears swirling in her eyes, and reached out to pull him into her arms: "Jinbao, Jinbao."
She hadn't expected this child to still be alive; Qin Shu had dreamed that he was still alive.
Nangong Jin was suddenly hugged, his body slightly stiffening. He began to struggle violently, breaking free from Qin Shu's embrace.
The little fellow widened his eyes, looked at Qin Shu in front of him, and took a step back. He glared fiercely at Nangong Cangming: "Uncle is a liar! Everyone says I'm a discarded child with no father or mother."
"She is not my mother!"
"Uncle is a big bad guy, finding someone to trick me." He pushed Nangong Cangming away and ran off on his chubby legs.
Qin Shu wanted to chase after him, but Nangong Cangming grabbed her hand: "Little sister, don't go. Let him calm down."
"Nangong Jin!" Seeing the brat run off, the Old Madam of the Nangong Family rubbed her brow with a headache and looked at Qin Shu, comforting her: "This kid has been spoiled by us."
"He's used to being bossy; let him adapt for a few days and he'll be fine."
"My dear, come over and let Grandma look at you." The Old Madam of the Nangong Family looked at Qin Shu, her eyes red.
Qin Shu looked at the Old Madam of the Nangong Family, her own eyes also turning red: "Grandma."
The Old Madam of the Nangong Family patted her hand: "Good child, you've lost weight."
"Never mind that brat, let's go inside and sit."
"What do you want to eat? I'll have the kitchen make it."
"Your grandfather won't be back until later."
The Old Madam of the Nangong Family: "Your uncles and brothers can't come home for the time being, but I have already notified them."
Qin Shu: "Mm."
Nangong Yan had the kitchen prepare a large table of food to welcome Qin Shu back. Only the three members of the Nangong Family were in the room; the rest of the Nangong Family members were busy working outside.
Nangong Jin ran a long way, tiring himself half to death, but he didn't see anyone chasing after him.
He sat on the ground and began to pout his little chubby hands.
The little fellow was very angry. Resting his face on his hands, his little chubby bottom sitting on the steps, he looked ahead. Seeing that Qin Shu hadn't come over, he was even angrier: "What is this..."
"She even said she was my mother, but I ran away and she didn't even come to chase me."
"She definitely doesn't love me!"
The little fellow clenched his chubby hands, plucked the flowers nearby, and counted the petals. The flowers nearby were all plucked by him, yet he still didn't see anyone looking for him.
The little fellow felt a bit dejected. He stood up and patted his bottom: "Sour and spicy, sour and spicy."
"I can't count on anyone else, I'd better go back myself."
He snuck back like a thief, and upon smelling a fragrance wafting from the main hall, the little fellow's stomach began to rumble, and he swallowed his saliva silently.
He lay at the doorway looking inside, his black grape-like eyes darting around as he sized up Qin Shu inside.
She was very beautiful, the most beautiful person Nangong Jin had ever seen.
She could barely pass as his mother.
Qin Shu felt a prying gaze land on her, so she turned her head to look outside and saw the little fellow lying at the doorway, cautiously and curiously sizing Qin Shu up.
The corners of her lips curled slightly as she picked up the robot on the table and beckoned to the little fellow.
Nangong Jin saw that what she held in her hand was a globally limited edition King Kong robot, and his eyes lit up; he straightened his body, walked toward Qin Shu, stood before her, and cleared his throat: "Ahem~ since you want to be my mother so much, I'll reluctantly accept you."
"I'll graciously accept the robot, get me something else tomorrow."
No sooner had these words fallen than he received a rap on the head, and Nangong Cangming narrowed his eyes slightly: "Be polite when speaking to your own mother."
Nangong Jin clutched his head in pain, looked up at him with teary eyes, and said: "You are about to lose your little treasure forever."
