Chapter 92: Dad, Grandma Made Me Call Him Brother

Gu Yichen had received word from Gu Tingyan last night that his mother would take him to celebrate his birthday today.

He got up early, washed his hair, changed into brand-new clothes, and went downstairs; in the living room, both Chu Chen and Lin Jingshu had arrived.

Seeing Chu Chen, Gu Yichen frowned tightly; when he saw Chu Chen run over wildly and knock over the Lego set he had built, his lips pressed into a thin line.

"I don't have a brother."

He looked up at Lin Jingshu: "Grandma, did Dad cheat?"

Lin Jingshu paused and explained with a smile, "What are you saying?"

"He is the child of a relative; you must call him brother."

Gu Yichen's lips were pressed tightly together: "I don't want to."

This was his first time rebelling against Lin Jingshu.

Gu Yichen had been raised by Lin Jingshu since he was small; she had brought him up single-handedly, so naturally, she loved him a bit more than Chu Chen.

Lin Jingshu's face turned pale; she felt guilty, as she had indeed done wrong in this matter.

Gu Tingyan looked down at them, his gaze cold and hard as iron, carrying an undisguised sense of oppression that instantly froze the surrounding air: "If I see him here again, I will definitely kill him."

Gu Tingyan bent down and picked up Gu Yichen; he lifted his foot to walk out, then suddenly paused, looking back at Lin Jingshu: "Mom, if one day Dad had an illegitimate child outside—"

"Would you also bring the person back to the Old Residence and treat them like your own son?"

Lin Jingshu's expression stiffened; she knew Gu Tingyan resented her because of this.

Lin Jingshu said calmly: "Your father would not do such a thing."

Her face wore an air of impartiality: "If it really happened, I would of course bring his child back."

She looked at Gu Tingyan, her words carrying a double meaning: "After all, it is the seed of the Gu Family."

Hearing this, Gu Tingyan's lips curled into intense sarcasm: "Heh..."

He looked at Lin Jingshu and said word for word: "Since that is the case, I will no longer concern myself with your affairs in the future."

Gu Tingyan mocked: "I hope you will always maintain the poise and magnanimity of the Matriarch of the Gu Family."

Chu Chen sat on the ground, filled with fear of Gu Tingyan; his little face was pale, his body trembling uncontrollably, and his eyes stared at Gu Yichen with cold, venomous hatred.

They were both Dad's children, so why was it that he could receive all of Dad's attention and love?

Gu Tingyan carried Gu Yichen out the door and patted the little guy's back: "Don't tell your mother about what happened today."

Her youthful and beautiful appearance was like a vibrant college student.

Gu Tingyan stared at such a youthful and vibrant Qin Shu, his gaze unable to look away for a long time.

He pulled the car over to the side of the road; Qin Shu opened the car door, and as soon as she got in, she hugged Chenchen and nuzzled him: "Baby, Mommy missed you to death."

Gu Yichen was held tightly in his mother's arms, his lips curling up slightly; he stretched out his little hands to hug Qin Shu tightly as well, leaning into her embrace: "Mommy, I missed you too."

His birthday wish was to spend the whole day with his mom and dad.

"Don't worry, Mommy is on vacation today."

Gu Tingyan observed the mother and son in the back seat through the rearview mirror while driving, listening to their conversation.

He felt that Qin Shu had become very different today.

It seemed to have returned to how it was before Chu Sheng came back.

Cheerful in personality, gentle and considerate, with a smile always hanging on her face.

Gu Tingyan wanted to treasure this moment forever.

The corners of Gu Yichen's lips turned up slightly; in his father's arms, holding Qin Shu's hand, he had never been this happy and joyful before.

Today, he was the happiest child in this world.
