Chapter 517

But this Alliance Leader position was simply too tempting.

Once one sat on it, it was almost equivalent to unifying the Nine Mysteries Realm.

If the Beiming Saint Lord didn't compete and directly submitted to the Dao Yi Saint Lord, he wouldn't have the face to see the predecessors of the Beiming Sacred Ground after he died.

Now that the Dao Yi Saint Lord proposed that the few major forces unite to act as Alliance Leader, that was a cause for celebration.

And with the few major forces united, it would be easier to make people submit.

"Sigh, this Myriad Clans Grand Assembly hasn't even been convened yet, and Beiming and I almost fought."

"If it were truly convened, there would surely be a fierce struggle."

"Fame and fortune are truly tempting."

"Even with a great calamity imminent, it is impossible for us to extinguish our desire for fame and fortune."

"Even this Lord cannot be an exception."

The Dao Yi Saint Lord sighed in his heart.

In fact, the Beiming Saint Lord was right just now; the Dao Yi Saint Lord proposing the Myriad Clans Grand Assembly really did want to sit on this Alliance Leader throne.

It wasn't that the Dao Yi Saint Lord himself wanted to sit in that position.

Rather, he wanted the Dao Yi Sheng Sect to become the true number one sect of the Nine Mysteries Realm, unifying the Nine Mysteries.

This temptation was too great.

Just like every Emperor wants to expand their territory, the Dao Yi Saint Lord also wanted to make the Dao Yi Sheng Sect grow and strengthen, becoming the number one sect of the Nine Mysteries.

However, the Dao Yi Saint Lord observed the situation just now and immediately felt it was inappropriate.

He hadn't even said it yet, and the Beiming Saint Lord already had objections.

Wouldn't that mean they, the few allies, would turn against each other first?

So the Dao Yi Saint Lord thought for a moment and simply changed his tune.

He would let the Dao Yi Sheng Sect, the Beiming Sacred Ground, the Great Yu Dynasty, and other allied forces join hands to sit on this Alliance Leader throne.

This way, internal strife would be avoided.

"Dao Yi, this idea of yours is not bad!"

"Heh, a joint Alliance Leader, this idea is good!"

The Beiming Saint Lord said with excitement.

If he truly competed with the Dao Yi Saint Lord, he might not necessarily win.

In the end, it might benefit other forces.

But now that the Dao Yi Saint Lord proposed that the few major forces unite, the opportunity was very great.

"Heh, this Lord also thinks this idea is good."

"We only need to wait for Great Yu Emperor, Fellow Daoist Su, and Fellow Daoist Demon Lord to arrive, and we can discuss it."

The Dao Yi Saint Lord also said with a smile.

"What? You even notified the Demon Lord?"

The Beiming Saint Lord was stunned again upon hearing this.

The Demon Lord was of the Demonic Path; in the end, he was not of the same path as them, the Righteous Path.

He didn't expect the Dao Yi Saint Lord to actually want to pull the Demon Lord in to be this joint Alliance Leader as well.

"To unite all the forces of the Nine Mysteries Realm to resist the external enemy together, the Demonic Path is naturally included."

"In such a great calamity, what is the point of distinguishing between Righteous and Demonic?"

"Inviting the Demon Lord is also normal."

"This Lord has already sent disciples to send word to the Demon Lord; he will arrive soon to discuss the major event."

The Dao Yi Saint Lord explained.

"Reasonable, reasonable!"

"The Demonic Path is also a part of the Nine Mysteries Realm; naturally, we must unite."

"Dao Yi Saint Lord, you are truly thoughtful."

The Beiming Saint Lord nodded repeatedly upon hearing this, feeling deep admiration for the Dao Yi Saint Lord.

But the Beiming Saint Lord was secretly pondering in his heart.

This Dao Yi Saint Lord was clearly a fierce man when he was young; how did he become such an old schemer with so many tricks as he aged?

"Dao Yi, this old fellow, has too many thoughts; this Lord must be on guard. Lest the joint Alliance Leader position turns into the Dao Yi Saint Lord's one-man show."

The Beiming Saint Lord was secretly guarding against the Dao Yi Saint Lord.

And the Dao Yi Saint Lord was actually secretly pondering in his heart as well.

"Heh, although we few major forces are uniting to be the Alliance Leader."

"But within our few major forces, there are also strengths and weaknesses."

"This Lord has obtained Zhangqing's Indestructible Scripture; my strength will increase greatly in a few days, and Beiming, Su Qingyun, and the Demon Lord will certainly not be this Lord's match."

"At that time, the Alliance Leader position will effectively still be this Lord's."

"Even if these old fellows don't submit to this Lord, I still have Zhangqing!"

"Heh heh, Zhangqing seems to have close relationships with the Beiming Sacred Ground's Goddess Xia Qingxuan, the Great Yu Dynasty's Princess Su Youwei, and the Youhai Demon Sect's Demoness Murong Dieyi."

"These young girls are all infatuated with Zhangqing."

"And with Zhangqing's aptitude, his future strength will surely far exceed this Lord's."

"When Zhangqing inherits the position of Dao Yi Saint Lord, wouldn't the few major forces be entirely under his control?"

"At that time, Zhangqing will be the Alliance Leader of the Nine Mysteries Realm!"

"And my Dao Yi Sheng Sect will become the number one sect of the Nine Mysteries Realm!"

The Dao Yi Saint Lord smiled secretly in his heart.
