Chapter 199: The Hero's Grandson

Under the watchful eyes of everyone.

Mitz took a deep breath, swept a glance over the group of curious-looking Marine subordinates present, and said in a solemn tone: "Looking across the entire Marine Headquarters, is there anyone else who bears the surname Monkey D.?"

"Can you really not figure it out?"

"Do you really need me to remind you?"

"That person…"

"Is the faith and idol in the hearts of countless Marines!"

"If, when you joined the Marines, you hadn't even heard that person's name, then I must say, you truly are failures within the Marines — a group of failed Marines."

The words fell.

The group of Marines' hearts grew even more astonished.

At this moment,

A weak voice rose from the crowd: "Colonel Mitz, the person you're talking about wouldn't happen to be… our Marine's hero, would he?"

In an instant,

The entire venue fell silent!

Not a sound to be heard!

A moment later,

Mitz answered in an affirmative tone: "You're right! It's our Marine hero, Monkey D. Captain Kapu! The most illustrious existence of our Marine's fame!"

"A hero of an era! A symbol of an era! And one of the top powerhouses with the most terrifying strength on this very sea!"

"He once drove the Pirate King Luo Jie into another desperate situation time and again."

"He also once, on the Grand Line, pursued the man known as the world's strongest man, Bai Huzi, to the point where the other could only flee in desperate avoidance."

"Vice Admiral Captain Kapu is the faith in the hearts of countless Marines! He was also once honored by our Marines with the title of the strongest Marine soldier!"

"Even Fleet Admiral Zhan Guo does not bear the title of the strongest Marine soldier."

"Although Vice Admiral Captain Kapu is merely a Marine Vice Admiral, that does not mean Vice Admiral Captain Kapu is unqualified for the title of Fleet Admiral. It is purely that Vice Admiral Captain Kapu actively refused the promotion to Fleet Admiral."

"Vice Admiral Captain Kapu is also the only example in all these years of the Marines of someone who refused promotion to Fleet Admiral."

Along with Mitz's unfolding introduction.

The Marines throughout the venue stood dumbfounded, their hearts trembling wildly.

The name of the hero Captain Kapu…

Of course, they felt it reverberate like thunder in their ears!

And from Mitz's mouth, they heard the hero Captain Kapu's full name for the first time.

So it turned out,
