Chapter 57: Author's Note on Going Live

TL; DR: The newcomer's new book will go live tomorrow at 12:05 PM! (serious face)

Let's talk directly about the issue everyone cares most about.

As for how many chapters will be released upon going live, I'm not sure.

Because going live is indeed a bit rushed, my lack of preparation is one reason, and my personal habit of not keeping a buffer is another.

I'm not afraid to say it, I don't really like keeping a buffer; once I have one, I become lazy, and every time before releasing a buffered chapter, when I review it myself, I find this unsatisfactory, that unsatisfactory, and end up rewriting it almost from scratch.

I can only say that, with each chapter being over 3000 characters, I will update at least two chapters when it goes live tomorrow, and after that I'll release them as they're written; I estimate I could update five chapters tomorrow, about 15,000 characters (if I don't get stuck).

Of course, I'll release however much I write; if there's extra, I won't hold back, I'll release it all together.

Then, regarding rewards, I'll add extra chapters for them, but because I don't have a buffer, it might not be timely (I'll try to be as prompt as possible).

The usual self-pity segment—skip it.

How important first subscriptions are for a book, I believe you fellow cultivators, as veteran readers, already know very well, so I won't elaborate further.

As long as it's enough to pay the electricity bill!

Just write it, damn it!

In short, it's just one sentence: I have the outline, I've also done the detailed outline; this book is a fast-paced story that unfolds slowly under reasonable circumstances, I'll write slowly, and you fellow cultivators read slowly.

I've always wanted to write a xianxia novel, and finally my wish has come true! (smug face)

Also, there's the update issue that everyone is concerned about.

After going live, if I'm able, I'll try to maintain ten thousand characters a day (not sure if I can, but I'll give it a shot).
